Bible Note: tomn, in this instance it would doubtlessly have been better had you said nothing at all, but we are all of us guilty of doing and saying unthougtful and unwise things and subsequently learn just how difficult it really is to try to unscramble an egg. In all candor I have observed among your posts a tendency to be somewhat abrasive to your correspondents, and this has concerned me greatly. But I at the same time am uncomfortably aware that in so saying this I am the pot calling the kettle black, because I too have fallen into the trap of venting my anger and frustration too freely and too frequently on this forum. Few among us can claim total exemption from this fault. But you, in asking for forgiveness, are showing a Christian spirit and you are doing the right thing, tomn. No man ever stood so tall as when he falls to his knees and begs forgiveness. I trust that this unfortunate and unpleasant episode will serve to strengthen your resolve to show henceforth a spirit of love, patience, and kindness toward those with whom you do business on the forum. And that it will be an example and a reminder to all of us using the forum to follow suit. May the good Lord bless our undertakings. Peace and good will to you. --Hank |
