Subject: Did God create evil? |
Bible Note: I understand that evil is not a “thing.” It’s not tangible, but it exists in the actions of those, such as Satan, who are anti-good. Now if Lucifer was initially good, but eventually turned evil, and God created Lucifer, did God create evil, which in this case, was the actions of Lucifer? Okay, if that’s the case, and God didn’t create evil, would it be wrong to say that God is ultimately responsible for evil’s existence because HE not only created Lucifer, who sinned, but even gave us a tool called freewill to make a choice between good and evil. I believe if God didn’t create evil, or allowed it to exist in whatever way, there could be no possible distinction between evil and what is good. How can God be say, when He created the heavens and the earth, “it was good,” if there is no evil to contrast the difference? |
