Bible Question (short): Did God say "I created evil"? |
Question (full): What is God's answer to this question? There are at least two types of evil,wrong-doing(sin) and calamity. A surface reading of KJV would have the reader to belive that God created and caused both. However most "Word Of Faith" stundents point out the difference between permissive and causative senses of the Hebrew verbs. My Question is how can we subsantiate either rendering,is there anyone that can shed some real light on the words used in Ex 15:26; Isaiah 45:17;Amos 3:6;ISamuel6:14, from a linguistic perspective. i personally understand Father's intention to be in the permissive sense. |
