Bible Note: Hi Eagle, and welcome to the forum. I liked your post but could you please verify, with Scripture, where the following actually took place, as you have posted? “My Adamic Nature died with Him on the cross” And then if it isn’t too much trouble, explain why Paul had all of the problems that he claimed in the following: “assuming” that he didn’t “still have” an old sin nature “plus” a new nature. If we didn’t retain the old nature in our bodies and let it dictate to us now and then, i.e. by sinning: how would it be possible to grieve and quench the Holy Spirit and sin at all for that matter? Romans 7:21-25 I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wishes to do good. [22] For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, [23] but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. [24] Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? [25] Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. It’s obvious that we are all in this same tent; until the “new creation” is delivered from these old messed up bodies, that we are trapped in, up until such time as the soul is separated form these bodies, i.e. physical death or the rapture, which ever come first. Have a great day, CDBJ |
