Subject: Did Moses seen God face to face? |
Bible Note: Greetings Johnny! Its amazing just how fast a thread can grow in a day's time! :-) Searcher56, Tim Moran and Retxar have given some excellent answers to this question! And like them, I believe that Moses never contradicted himself. Those who believe in the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) believe that the Angel of the Lord was quite possibly the pre-incarnate Christ in the Old Testament. There are many examples of the Angel of the Lord in the Old Testament and many saw Him! One such example is Balaam in Numbers 22:31 and David in 1 Chr. 21:16. In this way, God (the pre-incarnate Son of God) could have spoken "face to face" with Moses, as He did at the Transfiguration, and yet keep the complete essence of all His glory concealed from the eyes of flesh, since Jesus alone has seen the Father (John 6:46, Exodus 33:20). Blessings to you, Nolan |
