Did Moses seen God face to face?: Moses write/claimed: Ge 32:30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. De 34:10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, What apostle John said: Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Bible Answer: Scripture ... Gen 16:11-13, 32:28-30; Exo 33:20-23; Num. 12:8; Deu 34:10; Jdg 6:22-23, 13:21-22 ... Johnny, let me weigh in ... Moses spoke with God face to face (Num. 12:8) and knew God face to face (Deu 34:10). But, he did not see his face, but His back (Exo 33:20-23). I like Tim's answer. Gideon saw the angel of the Lord (Jdg 6:22-23), and so did Manoah and his wife (Jdg 13:21-22). They said they saw God. Hagar had the same experience (Gen 16:11-13). Israel (Jacob) struggled with God. All of these could of been Jesus. He had other preincarnate appearances. Searcher |
