Bible Question (short): Are we free from KEEPING the Law? |
Question (full): Scripture ... Gal 3:23-26; Col 2:16-17 ... Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. Gal 3:24 Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. Gal 3:25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. Gal 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Col 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- Col 2:17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. Where do these verses say "We are free from the Law" ... moreover, where in the NT does it say we are free from KEEPING the Law? |
