Subject: Easter questions |
Bible Note: Brother Tim, You are welcome to jump in on any question, answer, or note that I post to the forum. Thank you for doing so. Should I disregard the KJV? My family has always celebrated the easter holiday with prayer and worship to Jesus and with easter eggs. I have always stressed to them that it is the celebration of Jesus being raised from the dead. My family knows and understands this. After reading some of the postings I must admit that I feel a little ashamed for allowing my children to color eggs at easter time. I know that those who posted these comments are not God and cannot judge anyone, no offense intended, but I would like to see, if you are willing, some more comments with regard to the easter holiday and the coloring of easter eggs, etc... Comments from you as believers with me in Jesus are important to me. That is why I am part of this forum. Please read the following scriptures. How did Paul become as those without law? How did he become as those that are weak? Are these scriptures that do not apply to the subject matter of the original posting about easter? 1 Cor 9:19 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I may win more. 1 Cor 9:20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not being myself under the Law, so that I might win those who are under the Law; 1 Cor 9:21 to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without law. 1 Cor 9:22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some. 1 Cor 9:23 I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.
