AMPLIFIED 2015 | Psalm 12:3 May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks great things [in boasting]; |
Bible Question:
What are boasting things. Does it mean don't speak or talk big, yes the Word says "the more the words the less the meaning and how does that profit anyone"? (Eccl.6:11 NIV). Again the word says "A man who calls himself religious should keep a tight bridle on his tongue . . . (Jam. 1:26) But what you speak is what you get right . . . "For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned" (Matt. 12:37 NIV) I know flattering lips is like a deceitful lips but i need to understand what the Word meant by boasting things. |
Bible Answer: Wofa, Try doing a word study. This can shed allot of light on what you are studying. I do allot of word studies and it never ceases to impact my heart. Do this and let me know what you learn. In Him, lionheart |
