AMPLIFIED 2015 | Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. [Rom 13:8-10; Gal 3:1-29; 2 Tim 3:16] |
Bible Question: What does it mean for a christian to be deep rooted in relation to a tree(Psalm 1:3)? |
Bible Answer: The previous verse answers the question. By delighting in the instruction of the Lord, by meditating upon it day and night, we develop a "root system" that is well-nourished by streams of the living water (John 4) and we will grow strong and sturdy in the Lord. What a wonderful thing it is to know that a disciplined study of the "spiritual plant food" that is the Scriptures is what God uses to keep us from being driven away like the wicked! --Joe! |
