Bible Note: Hi Hiskid84, Jeremiah knew the King of the nations. Jeremiah 10:10, "But the Lord is the true God;/ He is the living God and the everlasting (King)..." The true God/ is spoken of in 1 John 5:20, "And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know (Him) who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God/ and eternal life." John 3:33, "He who has received His witness has set his seal to this, that God/ is true. 34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of (God);..." So even though Jesus spoke the words of God and we know Him as the true God; and as Jeremiah said, He is the true God and the everlasting King; even so, if we reject Him then we reject His kingship. 1 Samuel 8:7, "And the Lord/ said to Samuel, "Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them." NKJ, "but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them." The choice is there for us, also. If we do not reject Him and allow Him to reign over us and we serve Him, then He will be, to my mind, the King. From the heart, Ray |
