Subject: Is pre-tribulation biblical? |
Bible Note: The pretrib position is, as it were, the Johnny come lately of the rapture theories being the teaching of John Nelson Darby; it wasn’t being taught before 1827. The main objectic the whole thing is what actually constitutes the wrath of God? We shouldn’t confuse the worst of mans actions with the ferocity of God’s final wrath against such actions? True believers in the Lord Jesus Christ will never undergo the wrath of God but that doesn’t mean that we are exempt from the wrath or vengeance of the “adversary” of God. 2 Thes. 1:5-9 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: [6] Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; [7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, [8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: [9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; As believers in Christ we are going to be the target of tremendous persecution in the final days, but the Lord is going to turn the tide on those responsible for our trouble. No secret sneak us out situation but the most glorious display of the power of God that the world has ever seen. The believers will be snatched up and away, and then WHAM, God will hit the earth with fire delivered by His special angels. 2 Thes. 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. The previous verse tells you when God’s wrath is ordered. The "very same day" he come for his own and they will all witness and admire the wrath of God being poured out un the remaining unbelievers. The key to God’s wrath is a great fire show, that believers will be looking down on, the instant the rapture takes place, and the unbelievers will be looking for a hole or a cave to hide in where they might be safe. Rev 6:15,16 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; [16] And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: [17] For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rev. 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Lot thought he had a rapid departure; it was so close that Lot come close to burning he shirttail when he left Saddam but he was on foot. Luke 17:28-29 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; [29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Don’t confuse the vengeance of the adversary with the final burning of God’s wrath. There is a vast difference between the wrath of man and the wrath of God which is soon to follow. CDBJ |
