Bible Question:
Can a person push God too far? Can a person " fall from grace" one too many times? Is there ever a cut-off point with God? Doesn't He ever get tired of the " I know it's been a while, Lord" prayer..that one or two sins that you just can't seem to get a handle on..no matter how many years you struggle with it? I know that God always forgives the truly repentant..and I know that repentance is when you ask forgiveness and then make a change in your life.. But what if the change only lasts so long..? Can a person who truly belives in and cherishes God push Him too far? |
Bible Answer: John 6:37-39 (ESV) All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. [38] For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. [39] And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. John 10:27-29 (ESV) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. [28] I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. [29] My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. John 5:24 (ESV) Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. Romans 8:38-39 (ESV) For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
