Bible Question:
Where is Daniel??? This may requires you to read Daniel 3 or perhaps 2 as well. Daniel 2 mentioned that Daniel has been promoted and has authority to take care of many things in the kingdom. However, on chapter 3, it mentions about his 3 friends were arrested because of rejecting or refusing worshipping the image or idol the king built. It didn't mention Daniel at all. How could he be missing in such a big event (image built to worship)? Why wasn't he mentioned in the Bible??? Did he worship the idol? Was there any significance with his absence? How do we treat something this is not mentioned in the Bible and yet it may be important? (well to some people like me anyway) Any thought?? |
Bible Answer: calmrage Since it isn't in the Bible I think it is safe to say it wasn't important. You ask the question, "How do we treat something this is not mentioned in the Bible and yet it may be important? (well to some people like me anyway)" We have to learn to stay focused. I believe one of the tricks of the adversary is to divert our attention from the messages of Bible passages by getting us to focus on non significant and meaningless curiosities. In this way Satan can significantly negate our time in studying the word. As humans we all love to take bunny trails, but each time we do we run the risk of losing the main trail. We also love to exercise our curiosity this is good provided we stay focused and let our curiosity lead us to a closer relationship with God and His Word rather than derailing us wasting our time pondering the unimportant.
