Bible Question: Should we guess what God impressed on the heart of men before the Law given by God that is not recorded in the Bible? |
Bible Answer: Hello Searcher, “Should we guess what God impressed on the heart of men before the Law given by God that is not recorded in the Bible?” Luk 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Luk 10:28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. I think that we already know enough facts so that we do not need to guess. 1. Salvation was always the same way for all men, for all time: By the blood of the Lamb. Gen 3:21 Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. (Implies some animal died here.) 2. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin: Hebrews 9:22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. 3. All of the Law and the Prophets hang on these two Old Testament commands: Deuteronomy 6:5, Leviticus 19:18 (Wouldn’t God have to reveil these to all men of all time for salvation?) 4. Jesus expected any teacher of Israel (Old Testament) to already know that they must be born again: John 3:10 5. Job knew of his Redeemer: Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; There is probably much more as we ponder the scriptures, Your brother in Christ, Pastor Glenn |
