Subject: Is there danger of guessing what He did? |
Bible Note: Greentwiga I don't think anyone disputes that man before Moses held various standards of righteousness that were later included in the 10 commandments. I think Searchers56 objection was my speculating how early man got that information. I had opened the door to speculation by suggesting that perhaps God had implanted a degree of morality on our subconscious mind. And he is right it is speculation. I just added that I found it interesting that all world cultures hold to some form of righteousness as defined by the last 6 commandments. To my way of thinking there is only two ways man could have gotten this. 1 God verbally communicated them or 2. A degree of morality is in fact part of our subconscious mind. Since as the Searcher56 said God did not record in scripture how this knowledge was acquired any speculation as to how man got it is just that speculation. |
