Subject: How did Adam sin if he did KNOW sin. |
Bible Note: Psalm16- They did realize they were doing wrong. They were given a choice, just as Lucifer was given a choice. God told them not to eat of the fruit and they chose to disobey Him. True, Eve was bequiled, caused to question but when she knew that the serpent was offering opposition to what God required, she knew it was wrong. Then she offered the fruit to Adam, who again had been told by God not to eat, and he gave over His obedience to God to following what Eve offered. Satan then became the dominant force to contend with. Instead of holy love and sex the way God intended it, lust came into the picture. Where before the body was pure and holy, it became a thing to be hidden. But I think it went even farther than that. Not only were the physical bodies covered up, but I would put forth the conjecture that their emotions and thoughts toward each other also became hidden. But the same things that caused Eve to sin and Adam to follow are still the things that Satan uses to get us to sin today. Lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and lust for power. Debbie |
