Subject: Genesis 11:7 Who is "Us"? |
Bible Note: ok, I hear what you are saying and you make a good point, but I would like to suggest a possible thought... Is it possible that the usage of capitalization, grammer discrepencies, and word meanings are all feable and futile attempts at trying to translate that which comes from infinate intelligence with our finite and limited intelligence? Consider this... I am Dominican and my boyfriend is American, and even though we know each other better than we know ourselves, we still have gaps in the conversations because we are from two different worlds. When he and I communicate with each other we use word phrases and word meaning specific or relative to our home towns and there is sometimes errors, misunderstandings and confused messages between us. Sometimes when I have told him a funny joke and try to interpret it into English, it is not funny or etc. MAke sense? Here is an example. If I told a person from the Domincan Republic that it is "raining cats and dogs" they would look at me like I was an idiot. Here is a popular expression from my country, use a translation web page to see if you can decipher it. "Cacata con guaraguo!" |
