Bible Question: what will be be the final judgement day when we will stand before god what is exactly going to happen i know we will stand accountable for what we do but jesus has already died for are sins im just confused about this |
Bible Answer: Hi Karri, I hope I can help and assist you on this topic. When Jesus Christ died He died for man,s past sins. "Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Some will say that Christ died for man's future sins which is confusing. From the time man is forgiven by Christ he is required to confess and repent (change his mind and conduct)of his sins. "If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If man does not confess and repent of his sins and continue to practice them, then he is accountable to Christ at the judgement. No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother. I pray that Christ will give you understanding of His word. |
