Bible Question: A pastor was caught having a adultery. His wife killed him with a gun. She confessed her sins and asked for forgiveness and she was hanged for her wrongdoings. Is the pastor saved as he died without confessing for his sin? Is the pastor's wife saved since she confessed for her sin of murder? |
Bible Answer: Tough question Hebrews, but a good one. I'm not sure if your question can be answered. I'd like to believe that the pastor would still inherit eternal life. Matt 12:31 says, Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and BLASPHEMY shall be forgiven unto men: but the BLASPHEMY against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. That would lead me to believe that he would be forgiven even if he didn't have a chance to repent. However, I cannot be certain on that. I understand that the judgement of eternal life or death is not up to us to decide. That is reserved for God and God alone. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but this is a question that I have had myself, and this is the best answer I could come up with. As for the wife, if she was saved and truly repented of her sins, yes, she would inherit eternal life. God bless, Sal |
