Bible Question: In Genesis Chapter one, it states that God created male and female. Does that mean that God created people before Adam and Eve? I was thinking that God did created people before Adam because Adam was the lineage of the Jewish nation, and when Cain was punished for slaying his brother Abel, his wife came from the land of Nod, which was a different place from where he's from? I'm also curious about where did the other people of other nations came from because I don't think we all are descendants of Adam. Any thoughts on this? marg |
Bible Answer: Dear Marg, Acts 17:26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, Yes, we are all descendants of Adam and Eve. This revelation from God is wonderful, in contrast to evolution, which gives no basis for the unity of the human race, and hence, no equality among men or inalienable rights endowed by their Creator. Since evoloution operates on the basis of chance, the people in Africa could have evolved from a different set of monkeys than those in Asia, the Middle East, or Europe. Peace |
