Hi, dfw: Are you responding to me? I guess so. Does my name sound like brother? Check it out sir. :) I am glad that you put high concern in worshipping our Lord with a pure heart. By the way, if you are doing a feedback, you don't have to start a new topic. Just click on the relevant thread and user, so that we can easily make a follow up. And I don't need to guess if you are responding to me or not. God bless. Shalom Azure (Sister) :) |

942 | Saved or not ? | Hebrews | azurelaw | 188887
Dear Brother Lionheart, Have you noticed an interesting thing that the layout of your posts are just the opposite of brother Hank's. While yours are full of broken statements which I hardly read them in the flow of paragraphs, Hank's are putting all the statements in one big paragraph. I know that Hank cannot separate his post with paragraphs for some technical reasons. Do you have the same problem as Hank's? :) Shalom Azure |

943 | With out coporate Prayer what will ? | Heb 10:25 | azurelaw | 188844
Dear Brother Jeff, I had experienced a shepherd who cared not much of the flock assigned to him when I was at my teenage. That was a sad thing for we felt like orphans. However, the bond between our brothers and sisters were strong and close. 1 Pet 4:17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Pet 4:18 And if it is with difficuty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner? Bearing in mind that "judgement begins with the household of God", let us stay alert with love and deeds for the glory of our God. Shalom Azure |

Amen, that would be a very terrible situation for the scarttering flock is vulnerable to be attacked. 1 Peter 5:7-8 ......casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Shalom Azure |

945 | Where or where is CDBJ? | Bible general Archive 3 | azurelaw | 188697
Dear John, I agree with you. I've just got the time to read the latest posts on the forum and found out the identity of InGodITrust. I am pretty shocked as well. However, I am happy to see that you have forgiven him. He has been experiencing all these trials and it needs a lot of courage to ask for forgiveness. You are a tough and loving brother. Paul was very tough as well, wasn't he? Shalom Azure |

947 | Can the devil tune in to our thoughts? | Bible general Archive 3 | azurelaw | 188615
Dear InGodITrust, May I borrow the below poem written by brother CDBJ. You are in my prayers, brother. Shalom Azure A Voice From Beyond (By CDBJ) I've passed into a better place of which there is no pain. So loved one keep your grieving short, your loss has been my gain. My state is far much better than the one that you behold. It's the hope that I've been looking for in the days when I’d grow old Though grief may oft consume you with thoughts about our past, Life must go, so please be strong, this grieving will not last. This place is awe inspiring, with much array to view. I've been so overwhelmed with it, I've hardly thought of you. My first day on location I was anything but bored, My first known recollection, I was looking at the Lord. The colors are fantastic, beyond your wildest dreams. Ensuing from His throne on high, an emerald rainbow streams. Enough about my bliss for now, the problem's you're forlorn, And how to rectify the day, from which our love was torn. The secret to life’s happiness is not all that absurd. It’s found with-in the Mighty Script of God’s Eternal Word. So keep yourself in hope I ask, make the Bible your main quest, And the Lord will surely comfort you, and put your heart at rest. Make sure my love of which you trust, in abundance of profession. It must be Jesus, not the church, to support your strong confession. Finally love with much ado, use not your loss for scorning. Weeping may endure the night, but joy cometh in the morning. |

Well said, brother Steve. A reminder to all of us (of course I count myself in) that we must be very careful on what we read on the websites especially when we are quoting the materials. Shalom Azure |

Dear Marcel, May you be blessed for your good deeds in the name of Jesus Christ and for His glory. Matt 10:42 "And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward." Prov 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it. Shalom Azure |

952 | Are there any scriptures for the rapture | 2 Pet 3:10 | azurelaw | 188364
Dear Cheri, I will try my effort to answer your question. There is an explanation which I found pretty convincing (at least to me) that the 24 elders represent : 12 Israel tribes in the OT and the 12 apostles in NT. In another sense, they represent the saints from both OT and NT. Concerning the 144,000, it is the multiples of 12 representing all God's people (i.e. believers in OT and NT). If we interpret that only 144,000 is the exact number for the saved, I am afraid that we are in deep trouble. I remember some users had listed a website conerning commentary of Rev. However, I cannot locate it for the moment. Maybe I leave the job for you :) Please do understand that the Rev is written with many symbolic terms in assocation with historical background of the OT and the current situation of the christian at the 1st century. Although the author did quote directly from OT, however the content is very familiar with what we have read in Danial, Isaiah, Ezek, Exodus. Sorry that I cannot give scriptural reference on what I have written. Hope this helps a bit on your understanding of the book of Rev. Shalom Azure |

Dear Searcher, Thanks for your reply with quotes of the relevant scriptures which I failed to associate with. Was Bethany (where Lazarus lived) located in the Judea region? If so, then I could understand why Thomas made such statement. Thanks for your help and Shalom Azure P.S.: Is there any biblical maps concerning Jesus mission available for helping us to study the 4 gospel books? |

959 | What do we have for fighting? | 2 Tim 4:7 | azurelaw | 188120
A short story to share written by an amateur writer, Mr. M.L. Au (a catholic), in a local newspaper. Here is my translation: ---- A conversation between a lioness and her cub ---- Little cub: Mom, why do we have such big feet? Lioness: They grow big and strong to help us run fast. Little cub: Why do we have those sharp claws? Lioness: They can help us to hunt much easier. Little cub: Why is our skin so thick? Lioness: It helps to protect us from severe injury while fighting, my dear. Little cub: Wow, how cool that God equipped us with those gifts! The lioness nodded. The little cub thought for a moment and asked again: "Mom, I don't understand. Since we have these remarkable gifts, what are we doing here in this zoo?" Lioness: "....." (silent) --------------------------------- Though the message has nothing with religious concern, still it triggers my thought that we, christians, might sometimes choose to reside comfortably in our own zoo. Matt 10:16 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves. Eph 6:13-17 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Acts 1:8 ....but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Shalom Azure |

960 | Is It Human to Sin? | Gen 1:27 | azurelaw | 188094
Dear Jeff, It's very nice to hear from you again. Frankly, I had a moment of feeling annoyed by his unreasonable(?) questions. However, I believe that there are brothers or sisters here who are more loving, patient and able than I to answer his questions. And I also believe that what we need is to preach and God will do the rest through his Holy Spirit. The bible also said that for those who think they are wise and behave proud in front of our God, they will be humiliated. (Sorry, I forgot the relevant scripture) Their words just expose their foolishness in the face of our Almighty God. I love what Jesus said as below: John 12:48 He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the WORD I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. Shalom Azure |
