81 | sons of God? | Gen 3:15 | prayon | 176853
You are very welcome! prayon
82 | Mark, Couldn't of been God.... | Gen 18:2 | prayon | 8944
How can you misunderstand John 1:18; "No man hath seen God at any time" (KJV), "No one has ever seen God" (NRSV). Exo 33:23 also states tht no man shall see my face. According to Eerdmans Word Studies of the New Testament "The 'seeing' intended here is seeing of the divine essence rather than of the divine person". This can lead us to think that maybe it was His shekinah glory. The Everyman's Bible Commentary says that He has come to man through the one who has always been at the Fathers side. This usually designates Jesus Christ. I am led to believe that who they saw was Jesus Christ. To explain Exo 24:10 - isn't Jesus and God one? How would they of known the difference between Jesus and God?
83 | Why was Ishmael in defiance of his peop | Gen 25:18 | prayon | 7779
Nolan, if it does mean "to the east of" it would make more sense why Ishmael came back to bury his father (Gen 25:9) with Issac. If they were fighting it wouldn't seem as if he would do this. prayon
84 | How could Esau forgive Jacob? | Gen 33:4 | prayon | 144859
Greetings searcher, The bible does not say specifically that Esau forgave Jacob but in Gen 33:10 it does say that Jacob told Esau I've seen your face as if I were seeing the face of God, and yet you welcomed me so warmly." If there were unforgiveness he could not of see the "face of God" in his face. prayon
85 | What did they do? | Exodus | prayon | 18588
Greetings Nolan, So does that mean that we can suffer hardships by not doing anything to deserve it. And remember that most of our consequences we have to go through are because we chose to do the thing that the consequences are for, the Isrealites did not make any wrong choice. prayon
86 | Moses prepared for his family how? | Exodus | prayon | 18658
Nolan, my guess is because that Moses was near death and was unable to do it himself. Verse 24 (Exo 4) states that the Lord met him and tried to kill him. Also it could be that Moses did not circumcise his son because Zipporah was against it. However, this could not fit either since the Medianites belonged to the same Abrahamic stock as Isreal, having descended from Abraham's second wife, Keturah. One would assume that they had retained some of the knowledge of the Words of God from Abraham.
87 | Hebrew? | Ex 1:15 | prayon | 19311
Greetings, What I was trying to say and did a bad job of was it is possible that the midwives were Egyptian. I wanted to see if anyone had any opinion that they were or weren't. My reasoning is this: when the midwives are first introduced they are called Hebrew midwives, which suggests that they were Hebrew. But actually that can mean that they were midwives who were Hebrew or that they were midwives to the Hebrew people. Actually they were probably not Hebrew since if they were, Pharaoh couldn't of expected compliance and must of realized that his plan was doomed from the start. Also in v. 16 he makes a distinction between the two when he said "when you help the Hebrew women in childbirth.." If they weren't Hebrew they must of learned about the Hebrew God and feared Him more than Pharaoh. Some other interesting points: To the Hebrew people sheppherds were the lowest of the low and Pharaoh would not of treated them with the respect that he did. Also, 2 midwives would not of been able to serve 3-500,000 people who were 'multiplying greatly'. More than likely they were administrative and had many midwives under them. They would had to of told the staff under them to kill all the boys if they wanted to go along with Pharaoh. How would they of gotten the staff to go along? prayon |

88 | What became of Moses rod? | Ex 4:2 | prayon | 9023
If your interpretation is right then there are two rods with the Ark because Hebrews 9:4 states that Aaron's rod is preserved in the Ark. :o) prayon
89 | everyone saw the cloud and bowed down! | Ex 33:10 | prayon | 33652
Greetings Searcher! The pillar of cloud that came down was the presence of God. This is what the people bowed down to. The cloud was definitly needed because if the cloud had not been there all would of died because no one can see the presence of God and live. prayon
90 | what are the meaning of Lev.12 | Lev 12:5 | prayon | 144565

91 | Why did Moses strike the rock? | Num 20:11 | prayon | 9025
Makes you wonder what blessings we have lost because of disobedience...... prayon
92 | Why did Moses strike the rock? | Num 20:11 | prayon | 9069
Steve, I'm sorry if I was misleading. I never meant that God has a room where he hides our missed blessings. What I was refering to was when Moses stuck the rock he angered God and lost his chance of being blessed by entering into the promised land. The question I asked was just a thought question. If Moses missed his blessing of the promised land because he angered God by what he did - how many blessing have we missed because we have messed up?
93 | Moses and the Canaan land | Num 20:12 | prayon | 78023
Searcher, I stand corrected - thank you prayon
94 | Yes, but how Nolan? | Joshua | prayon | 8623
Nolan, I do agree with your interpretation because it is the most logical given the evidence. I was leaning that way before I even asked the question. prayon
95 | A silly question? | Josh 10:12 | prayon | 5448
Could it be possible that God has shown us that the earth revolves by giving man the knowledge to go into space and see it? prayon
96 | Who was Ruth? | Ruth | prayon | 89246
Greetings Ed! Just getting around to answering some more emails - I had 189 when I got home. I certainly did not mean to sound as if I was spiritualizing Ruth. She was just a woman who God used. I agree with you, it is a story of God's rewarding faithfulness. prayon |

97 | What should be a woman's boundaries? | Ruth 2:22 | prayon | 131187
Reighnskye, In what way? prayon
98 | What should be a woman's boundaries? | Ruth 2:22 | prayon | 131284
Greetings, I think that you your extention can be valid. Unfortunetly there are pastors and leaders who will do say and do unappropriate things. #1 shouldn't have to be extended to the church but unfortunetly it is. #2 is biblically based. Pro 2:12-14: "Wisdom will save you from the way of evil, from the person who speaks devious things, from those who abandon the paths of righteousness to walk the ways of darkness, from those who enjoy doing evil, from those who find joy in the deviousness of evil". prayon |

99 | Aaron's rod and manna? | 1 Kin 8:9 | prayon | 77459
Greetings Emmaus, That is what I thought, but according to the scripture above it says that there was nothing in the Ark except the 2 tablets of stone. Every other mention of the Ark includes the manna and the rod then suddenly they aren't there anymore......... prayon
