NASB | Numbers 20:11 Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation and their beasts drank. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Numbers 20:11 Then Moses raised his hand [in anger] and with his rod he struck the rock twice [instead of speaking to the rock as the LORD had commanded]. And the water poured out abundantly, and the congregation and their livestock drank [fresh water]. |
Subject: Why did Moses strike the rock? |
Bible Note: Steve, I'm sorry if I was misleading. I never meant that God has a room where he hides our missed blessings. What I was refering to was when Moses stuck the rock he angered God and lost his chance of being blessed by entering into the promised land. The question I asked was just a thought question. If Moses missed his blessing of the promised land because he angered God by what he did - how many blessing have we missed because we have messed up? |
