421 | Saved after the Rapture | 1 Cor 15:52 | Val | 193516
The people alive at the time after the church has been taken away will be saved the same way you and I are through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Since that time will start the tribulation period it will be much a time like the time of the persecuted church. In other words, some may die because of their faith in the Lord. Hope this helps.

423 | How long time! | Gen 17:3 | Val | 193352
Gen 12:2 And I will make you a great nation, ... Gen 12:4 So Abram went forth as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. Gen 17:1 Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am God Almighty; ... Gen 17:17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Will a child be born to a man one hundred years old? And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?" Abraham received the promise at age 75. The child was born to him at age 100 and Sarah was 90. |

424 | what is born again? | John 3:5 | Val | 193329
Eph 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Eph 1:14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory. Born again is what happens to a person when they hear the gospel which is found in the New testament books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. When a person responds to the message of the gospel by putting their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ thereby seeking to have a personal relationship with Him; the Holy Spirt comes into that person to live permanently until that person dies a physical death and then goes to heaven. The Holy Spirit will help that person have victory over sin in their life and follow the Lord Jesus Christ through reading the Holy Bible and prayer to the Father. It is a wonderful life and I pray you will seek Him and be saved (born again) |

425 | understanding the book of revelation | Revelation | Val | 193326
There are some excellent Precept studies on Revelation. In answer to your question about the second death. The first death is physical death which all humans experience. The second death is the death of those who have not trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour through faith in his death, burial and resurrection. Rom 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
426 | Will God put on us more than we can bear | 1 Cor 10:13 | Val | 193188
It is a cliche that people have used to encourage one another when bad things happen. The area of suffering is one that people will continue to speculate on until time is no more. It is usually something people say when they do not know what to say. So do not read into it anything more than that would be my suggestion.

429 | being/knowing you are beautiful | Esth 2:7 | Val | 192768
(There is an account of a beautiful woman called Esther. She used her beauty to save an entire nation. It is a very beautiful story- like a short story-perhaps you might gain some insight from it) Esth 2:7 He was bringing up Hadassah, that is Esther, his uncle's daughter, for she had no father or mother. Now the young lady was beautiful of form and face, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter. Esth 2:17 The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she found favor and kindness with him more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. Esth 4:13 Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, "Do not imagine that you in the king's palace can escape any more than all the Jews. Esth 4:14 "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?" Esth 4:15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, Esth 4:16 "Go, assemble all the Jews who are found in Susa, and fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maidens also will fast in the same way. And thus I will go in to the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish." |

431 | what does jeremiah 51:20-22 mean | Matt 8:8 | Val | 192758
(This is from the Amplified Version) Jer 51:20 You [Cyrus of Persia, soon to conquer Babylon] are My battle-ax or maul and weapon of war--for with you I break nations in pieces, with you I destroy kingdoms, This Chapter 51 talks about the end of Bablylon's reign. They were the world rulers at that time. The Lord ended their rule and the Medes and Persians were given the earthly kingdom. An overview of the earth's kingdoms are covered in the Book of Daniel. Jeremiah was the prophet during the time of the Bablyon takeover of his country. He wrote Jeremiah and Lamentations. |

(The centurion humbled himself before the Lord and made his request in verse 8) Matt 8:9 "For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it." (The centurion recognized the Lord's authority over disease) Matt 8:10 Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, "Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. Matt 8:13 And Jesus said to the centurion, "Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed." And the servant was healed that very moment. |

433 | Jewish roots in Christianity? | Eph 3:6 | Val | 192745
Gen 12:3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." (The blessing spoken of is the Messiah) Gal 3:9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer. (Paul talks about this in Galatians) (Matthew Chapter One gives the line of the Messiah) Matt 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations. Matt 1:16 Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called the Messiah. |

(These verses address that topic:) Num 35:30 'If anyone kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death at the evidence of witnesses, but no person shall be put to death on the testimony of one witness. 2 Deut 17:6 "On the evidence of two witnesses or three witnesses, he who is to die shall be put to death; he shall not be put to death on the evidence of one witness. 3 Deut 17:7 "The hand of the witnesses shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. (The book of Daniel talks about the Lord and His dealings with the kings of the nations) Dan 4:35 "All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, But He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can ward off His hand Or say to Him, 'What have You done?' (In this verses it says that the Lord is the one who removes kings and establishes them) Dan 2:21 "It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding. (The account of Nebuchadnezzar - the most powerful earthly ruler at one time shows how the Lord dealt with him) Dan 4:34 "But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation. 436 | Explain Ephesians 3:5-6? | Eph 3:6 | Val | 192735
(The mystery of Christ was not revealed to the nation of Israel - God's people until Christ came. Paul was the one chosen to explain this mystery - Jews and Gentiles in one body - the church.) Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (The first gentile believer was Cornelius in Acts Chapter 10) - Acts 10:22 They said, "Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man well spoken of by the entire nation of the Jews, was divinely directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and hear a message from you." (Peter was sent to preach the gospel to Cornelius and Cornelius and his household received Christ. Peter explained this to his brethren in Acts 15) Acts 15:7 After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, "Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe (Paul talks about this in Galatians) Gal 2:7 But on the contrary, seeing that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised Gal 2:8 for He who effectually worked for Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised effectually worked for me also to the Gentiles, (In the old testament any people who wanted to follow Jehovah God were extended that opportunity: see Ruth and Rahab who were included in the Lord's geneology) Matt 1:5 Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab, Boaz was the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse. Ruth 1:16 But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Heb 11:31 By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish along with those who were disobedient, after she had welcomed the spies in peace. James 2:25 In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? |

437 | Holy Spirit here during tribulation? | 2 Thess 2:7 | Val | 192729
Since one way the Holy Spirit works is through God's people who have placed their faith and trust in Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit seals them placing them in the body of Christ, then it appears in this verse that those believers have left and their influence for good is gone, giving lawlessness free reign to a degree allowed by the Lord. Eph 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 18 Eph 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. |

438 | was King Saul saved | Rom 10:9 | Val | 192594
Gal 3:1 You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? Gal 3:2 This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Gal 3:3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Gal 3:4 Did you suffer so many things in vain--if indeed it was in vain? Gal 3:5 So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Gal 3:6 Even so Abraham BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. Gal 3:7 Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. Gal 3:8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, "ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU." Gal 3:9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer. Commentary: The old testament peoples looked forward to the coming of the Messiah. You and I look back at the time the Messiah came. All are saved the same way by putting their faith and trust in God and His Messiah as is stated in verse six. |

2 Kin 19:35 Then it happened that night that the angel of the LORD went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men rose early in the morning, behold, all of them were dead. 2 Is 37:36 Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, all of these were dead. These verses show that one angel killed 185,000. This shows the power of one angel. |

440 | Would his heart not be humbled? | Romans | Val | 192117
Is he concerned with his own glory? Only God knows the heart. Does he do so in a condescending way? Only his students would know. Does he do so as if he is the authority on scripture? We have heard that much knowledge puffs up so it is possible to fall into that trap. Does he approach it as if he is the only one who knows anything at all about God's word? A good teacher needs to be a good listener. What affect does pride have on his effectiveness to teach? Pride gives man glory not the Lord. It seems it would have an effect. Would his heart not be humbeled at what God has called him to do and be obedient, humbled and gracious in that calling? A worthy goal. |
