46 | What is the Holy Ghost? | John 14:16 | Praise Be To God | 141317
The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead. He makes his dwelling inside us and guides us into all truth. He was instrumental in the writing of the Holy Scriptures and in Creation. His voice is that still, small, quiet voice which tells you when you are doing wrong. He convicts us of our sins. Praise and worship ushers in the Holy Spirit into our church services. God's spirit inhabits the praises of His people. The Holy Ghost is not a "what," but a "who," for He is a person and He is God. Janae |

47 | Is the Holy Spirit apart of God? | John 14:16 | Praise Be To God | 141321
The Holy Spirit is not Jesus or God the Father, but together, the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God the Father, are God. They are three separate and distinct persons, but they never act independently of one another. They are not three Gods, there is only one God. It is like an egg. There is the white, the yolk and the shell. Together they make up the egg, but they are separate entities. Hope this helps. Janae |

48 | God condeming people unable to know him. | John 17:3 | Praise Be To God | 139577
I don't know of a Bible verse covering this, but Jesus spoke of "those the Father has given him" in his prayer in John 17:2 and 3: "As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." It would appear from these verses that not all of humanity will have an opportunity to hear of Jesus Christ-- unless we go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Which we are commanded to do. Any other thoughts on this? Janae. |

49 | jcsav, What to you mean? | Acts 9:3 | Praise Be To God | 143089
Excuse me for interrupting, but baptism is not a prerequisite of salvation. You do not have to be baptized in order to be saved. You must only believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The thief on the cross was not baptized, yet Jesus said to him, "Today shalt thou be with me in paradise." Janae. |

52 | Damascus Road Experience | Acts 22:8 | Praise Be To God | 144821
Yesterday our message in church was on Paul's Damascus Road Experience and we asked God to give us a Damascus Road Experience. I am sure the Holy Spirit dealt with every person present, as He did with me. Our pastor asked Jesus to reintroduce Himself to each of us, as He did when we were first saved. Yesterday at church was a wonderful, Holy Spirit-filled time in the Lord's presence. So, therefore, having this fresh in my spirit, I ask each of you to examine yourselves and make sure your relationship with Jesus is what it should be. We can always grow closer to God. There is always more of Him to know and to experience. We are to love God and love our brothers as ourselves. I hope no one took offense at my question. Love in Christ, Janae |

53 | How is Jesus Lord, Savior of my Life, | Rom 8:11 | Praise Be To God | 143204
Have you asked Jesus to be Lord of your life? Have you asked Jesus to be your Saviour? When Jesus is Lord of your life, He is your Master. You obey Him no matter what. Jesus is our Saviour when we accept him into our heart and believe on Him. He saved the world from sin and death and hell. Without Him we would be lost for eternity. Our spirit is "quickened" by the Holy Spirit. See Romans 8:11 (above). The Holy Spirit tells us of God and what is God's will for us. He leads us into all truth. If you would like to accept Jesus into your life, go to "http://www.bbnradio.org" and click on "How to get to Heaven." All the best, Janae |

54 | Would actions change if? | Rom 11:25 | Praise Be To God | 139304
God does make his dwelling with us--in us--our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are going to be with God in heaven: "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:2 The thought I embrace is, Jesus could come at any moment for His Bride, so you had better be close enough to God so you can hear that trumpet! Janae. |

55 | God's definition of sex | 1 Cor 7:2 | Praise Be To God | 139261
Sex is a part of marriage, not the other way around. You must be married in order to have sex. I would say that, yes, you do need to perform the marriage ceremony in order to be married. Sex does not make you married in God's eyes. Being married makes you married in God's eyes. Sex outside of marriage in wrong, whether it is with one person or 1,000 persons. Janae |

56 | none believer sins covered by believer | 1 Cor 7:14 | Praise Be To God | 150595
I Cor. 7:12-15: "But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 15But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace." Janae |

57 | Are miracles for today? | 1 Cor 13:8 | Praise Be To God | 133035
Yes, they are. The MIRACLE of salvation; the MIRACLE of healing, to name by two. I have been saved from hell and destruction by Jesus Christ's Holy Blood which was shed at Calvary. You cannot deny the miracle of salvation. As for the miracle of healing, I am here to testify that I had been having terrible pain in my hips for years, and could barely walk sometimes. One Sunday morning, recently, our pastor told us if we needed a healing to come and be prayed for by our prayer team. That morning, I almost did not go to church because I was in such pain, but I went forward for prayer. Ever since that prayer, I have had no pain; and I no longer walk with a limp. I praise God every day that I was (and we all were) healed at Calvary. We just need to receive it. Janae. |

58 | Is inter cultural marriage advisable? | 2 Cor 6:14 | Praise Be To God | 133224
Hello. God told the Children of Israel not to intermarry because He knew they would be led away by their idols. In fact, God forbade intermarriage with the other peoples. But, did Israel obey? Time and again, they disobeyed and time and again, they were led away from God to worship the idols of that nation. And time and again, they came back to God, only to be led away again. God never changes. He is the same today and forever. He wants us to marry Believers: In I Corinthians 7:8-16, Paul gives us some insight into what God wants for us, but Paul is speaking to Believers: "I say therefore, to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry, for it is better to marry than to burn. And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now they are holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases; but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband: or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? But as God has distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches." So, if we are already married, but one becomes saved and the other does not, you are not to leave the unsaved partner, for the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now they are holy. But, we are not to marry an unbeliever if we are a believer. 2 Corinthians 6:14 (above) makes that very plain: "Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?" But, there is nowhere in the Bible which says we are not to intermarry culturally, as long as that person is a Believer. That is the key. Ruth was from Moab, but she followed Naomi's God, and was King David's Great-grandmother, and in the earthly lineage of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Blessings to you. Janae. |
