22 | what book is Lucifer mentioned | Is 14:12 | Praise Be To God | 133070
Also Ezekiel 28:13-19: 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. 19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. |

24 | claiming things in your life | Is 53:5 | Praise Be To God | 135852
Some people believe that we receive what we speak, so are careful in choosing the words they use so they do not claim things into their lives which would harm them. For example, to say that one has a disease instead of claiming that they are and were healed at Calvary, and claiming that healing into their life. Janae |

God heals--people don't. What we can do now is pray that God will intervene and she will be saved, and that she will be put in her right mind. Janae |

28 | Jesus is God? | Matt 3:17 | Praise Be To God | 132737
How about the whole Bible? Is this person a Jehovah's Witness? That is a sign of a false religion, when they don't acknowledge Jesus as God. They argue with every scripture you will quote to them, showing how it has been altered or added later, or something is wrong with it. Try the scripture where God is speaking after Jesus is baptized, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17) Janae |

29 | forgiveness | Matt 5:24 | Praise Be To God | 151845
God is quick to forgive us if we truly repent and turn from our sin. The hard part for the truly repentant heart sometimes is to forgive ones' self. The peace that passeth all understanding awaits for those who truly repent and truly forgive. Janae |

30 | Can unbelievers pray to God? | Matt 5:45 | Praise Be To God | 133174
The answer is Yes! For God is Perfect. He maketh it to rain on the just and the unjust. (See scripture above). I can testify to this, because before I was saved, and while I was living a very unholy life of which I am not proud, our lease was up on the house we lived in and the owners asked us to vacate. We had one week. I got down on my knees in one of the rooms of our home and prayed earnestly to God and asked Him to find us a place to live. That very next week we were all moved into a beautiful home in a small town nearby, where some Christians that my husband worked with, lived. God had moved on my request and had found us a home and Christian friends to go with it! Praise Be To God! We serve a mighty God! A glorious God!!! I will never forget what God did for us. I don't even know all of the things He did for us before I was saved, but I can look back now and see He had His hand on us all along! He is so AWESOME! God bless you for asking this question! Janae. |

31 | HOW IMPORTANT IS FASTING? | Matt 6:16 | Praise Be To God | 150127
I just came off of a fast today, and I can tell you nothing will bring you closer to God than prayer and fasting. Fasting is a good way to find out God's will in a certain situation. If you want to know God's Heart, offer up to Him the sacrifice of prayer and fasting and see how much closer you come to God than you ever thought possible. Janae |

32 | Annointing | Matt 6:17 | Praise Be To God | 132088
The anointing comes from the Holy Spirit. At my church, we pray that God would anoint the words spoken by our pastor in his Sunday morning message; the anointing is God's stamp of approval on something. People often pray that their ministry would be anointed; that their words would be anointed, etc. We also ask God to anoint our musicians for the Sunday morning service--every note sung or played--and that they would take us into the Holy of Holies through their music. I sing solos in church and when the anointing comes upon my songs, people's hearts are touched--people cry and praise God, lifting their hands to Him. We should all desire the anointing.
33 | What importance is there in fasting | Matt 18:23 | Praise Be To God | 151848
Fasting can be called prayer without words. When we fast, we tune into the Holy Spirit and hear what He has to say. We can fast for a number of reasons: (2)To find out God's will in a certain situation; (2)To draw close to God; (3) To honor God, are just a few of the reasons we fast. If you really want to get close to God, I suggest a 3-day fast. Not for diabetics. Janae |

34 | what do you do when you feel no love.... | Matt 22:37 | Praise Be To God | 136352
Dearest Amanda, You can't go by your feelings--feelings are fickle. What you can go by is God's Word. God's Word is true and everything else is subject to change--by that Word. It sounds to me like you are being oppressed--not possessed--but oppressed. It sounds to me like you need to repent and ask God to forgive you for not loving Him and others. We are commanded to love God and to love others: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." This is commanded of us by God. God gave us free will. We choose to obey his commandments. Is there something in your life which you need to confess to God? For, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (I John 1:9) I advise you to seek God in prayer, repent and ask his forgiveness. God has not left you. It sounds like you have left Him. I hope this helps. Love in Christ Jesus, Janae. |

35 | Why did the Savior Dread the Cup? | Matt 26:38 | Praise Be To God | 133166
Did you see "The Passion of the Christ"? I think that shows clearly what Jesus had before Him (although it does not adequately describe his experience on the cross, for we cannot actually feel the pain he suffered). I believe that is the "cup" He was referring to; certainly He would not be referring to the act of saving the world from their sins, for that is why he was born into this world. He came willingly, to do the Father's will. But it was not an easy cup to drink. He did what no other could do. Remember, he prayed, "Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Here is what the commentary in my Bible ("The Full Life Study Bible") says about this: Matthew 26:39 LET THIS CUP PASS. What Christ meant by "this cup" has been the subject of much discussion. (1) It is doubtful that Christ was praying to be saved from physical death, for He had resolutely set Himself to die for the sin of mankind (Mark 10:33-34; Luke 9:51; John 12:24, 27; Heb 10:5-9). It is more probable that He was praying to be delivered from the punishment of separation from God, the ultimate penalty for sin. Christ prayed that His physical death might be accepted as full payment for the sin of sinners. However, he prayed, "nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt." He then committed Himself to undergo both physical death and spiritual separation from His heavenly Father in order to achieve our salvation (Matthew 27:46). His prayer was "heard," for He was strengthened by His Father to drink the appointed cup (see Heb. 5:7). Hope this helps. Janae. |

36 | Did God cause the tsunami | Mark | Praise Be To God | 141391
How can you say that God did not cause the tsunami? We don't know the mind of God. Many hundreds and perhaps even thousands of Christians have been martyred in those countries which have been hit by the tsunami. In fact, the aid which goes there is given to the Hindu first and the Christians get what's left over -- if there is anything left over to get. A missionary friend of mine is going to India on the 12th of January and she is taking money to the Christians over there. She says, "We must take care of our own." I know this is a different perspective than you are used to hearing on the news programs, but they do not even bring God into the equation. This is just a little food for thought. Janae. |

38 | Holy Spirit comes to Jesus | Luke 3:22 | Praise Be To God | 150126
Matthew 3:16; Mark 1:9-10; Luke 3:21-22; and John 1:30-34. Luke 3:21-22 - "Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." 39 | what is back sliding | Luke 6:46 | Praise Be To God | 138467
With God, you are always moving forward; there is no standing still. If you are not moving forward, you are moving back. Backsliding is neglecting God and the things of God. It can be to a point where you could lose your salvation if you are not careful.
40 | "Be about business in business" ? | Luke 12:42 | Praise Be To God | 148506
Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming, and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. This, of course, is talking about Jesus' soon return to gather His church unto Himself, but it is also good advice for a businessman, in my opinion. Janae |
