41 | SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH | 2 Tim 2:25 | Bows44 | 155944
Hi Robert, At our church we are taught to first make sure you can do this without causing injury to yourself. i.e. if the person you are catching for is twice your weight, then maybe someone else would be better suited to catch for that person. Second, stand directly behind the person and tap them on the shoulder lightly to let them know you are there. This lets them concentrate on what God is imparting to them with out fear of falling and getting hurt. Third, if they do fall (which may or may not happen) your hands should remain on their back, guiding them to the floor. The last point is that a single man should never catch for a single woman. A single man should catch only men, married women and children. Women should only catch as they are physically capable. We do not want to create misunderstandings or injuries (either to others or ourselves.) Hope this helps, Bows44 |

42 | Faith | James 1:2 | Bows44 | 159958
Hi NightJay, One must have faith in God, not one's own faith. Faith is trust, belief, a knowing that you know. For example, you need finances to pay your rent. You don't know how you are going to get it, but you know the Bible says God will take care of you and knows what your needs are, so you have faith in God that he will take care of you. That peace down in your spirit that tells you everything will work out o.k. proves you have faith. If you have fear, you don't have faith because you really aren't trusting God to take of you. This principle applies to everything in life. You have peace, are resting in the promises of God...you have faith. You are worried, afraid, can't sleep, etc....you do not have faith. As for moving a mountain or anything else...it doesn't always happen how we envision, so sometimes we don't recognize that it has happened. One person I know needed to have a part of a mountain moved so they could build a building in a certain place. They starting praying this promise about moving mountains and after a few months a road was putin, in that area and the section of mountain was removed. I would say that was an answer to this prayer/promise. The key is to keep your peace and let God lead you and answer your prayers and meet your needs his way. I recommend doing a word study on faith, so you can see how others in the Bible exercised faith and received from God. Then you can learn from those examples. Also, speak to fellow Christians who have faith for encouragement and further insight in how to walk in faith. Hope this helps, Bows44 |

43 | Recieving what you ask for | 1 John 5:13 | Bows44 | 160047
Hi basbudy, 1 John 5:14-15 tells us... 14 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. Hope this helps, Bows44 |

44 | do angels sing? if so, what ch./verse | Rev 5:11 | Bows44 | 155721
Just an interesting observation: The NIV says in Rev. 5:12 In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" The KJV says in Ezekial 28:13-15 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. This has been taught that this is referring to Satan when he was Lucifer and that the tabrets and pipes referred to in verse 13 are referring to musical instruments meaning Lucifer was the heavenly choir director. If this is true then Lucifer having been an angel at least played music and it word stand to reason that others [angels] sang. As someone has pointed out, this a traditionally held view not necessary proven by scripture and therefore in need of additional study and reseach. Hope this helps. Bows44 |

45 | Who has been silenced? | Rev 8:1 | Bows44 | 149187
I have been taught that this is when Jesus according to Matt 15:31, Mark 8:38 and Luke 9:26 returns with all the holy angels. Everyone is with Him, so no one is in Heaven for that time, and that is why there is silence in Heaven. You will note that after this the judgements begin. This could be referring to the rapture of the church just before God's wrath is poured out on the earth since Jesus returns in a cloud. See Luke 21:27 Cloud represents angels or group. i.e. cloud of witnesses in Heb 12:1 But it could also mean that everyone is just being quiet and observing what the angels are doing with the incense and prayers because this is such an awesome moment in that it begins the judgements. Hope this helps.
46 | Does God speak to us in dreams today? | Rev 22:18 | Bows44 | 158635
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New American Standard Bible) 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. Malachi 3:6 (New American Standard Bible) 6"For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed. Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. James 1:17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. Job 33:14-18 (New American Standard Bible) 14"Indeed God speaks once, Or twice, yet no one notices it. 15"In a dream, a vision of the night, When sound sleep falls on men, While they slumber in their beds, 16Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction, 17That He may turn man aside from his conduct, And keep man from pride; 18He keeps back his soul from the pit, And his life from passing over into Sheol. Joel 2:27-29 (New American Standard Bible) The Promise of the Spirit 28"It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. 29"Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. Acts 2:16-21 (New American Standard Bible) 16but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: (note: caps not mine) 17'(A)AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,' God says, 'THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS; 18EVEN ON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy. 19'AND I WILL GRANT WONDERS IN THE SKY ABOVE AND SIGNS ON THE EARTH BELOW, BLOOD, AND FIRE, AND VAPOR OF SMOKE. 20'THE SUN WILL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS DAY OF THE LORD SHALL COME. 21'AND IT SHALL BE THAT (B)EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.' Acts 2:39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call." Conclusion: Since all scripture is to be used for teaching, etc. and God does not change, it is reasonable to conclude that since He spoke in dreams to many throughout the Bible, including the Apostle Paul, that He can and will speak to us today in dreams as well. Hope this helps, Bows44 |
