321 | Major critical problem with 3 John? | 3 John 1:1 | Rowdy | 110937
I can only guess you're referring to the portion about Diotrephes, as follows: 5Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you. 6They have told the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. 7It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. 8We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth. 9I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will have nothing to do with us. 10So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, gossiping maliciously about us. Not satisfied with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church. A word of caution is warrented here. All of the harsh treatments that are shown throughout the Bible almost always have the assistance of the Holy Spirit. For example: the punishment of Ananias and Sophira for lying about money and Simon the Sorecer made blind by Apostle Paul. With the help of the Holy Spirit, these individuals were identified as being motivated by evil or the Devil, thus they were dealth with rather harshly. We on the other hand, CANNOT see into the hearts of our fellow christians or even sinners. We can only inspect and ask them about their actions and their words. So we talk gently with people and try to find out their true motivation. If a person proves over and over again, his only motivation is to merely get all the selfish gain out of this world, then we should "shake the dust off our shoes" and leave him, give him up to God. HOWEVER, if we don't have that proof of this persons attitude or the condition of his heart toward God then we should always assume there's reason to hope he or she might repent. Thus we must tread lightly, ask the right questions, know God's word but above all, love the souls of God's children for if we don't we jepordize our own soul's ultimate home for eternity. I hope this is close to what you're looking for. If not, how about elaborating and give us a few details. God bless. |

322 | Once we enter heaven Can webe thrown out | Matt 8:12 | Rowdy | 110711
I would refer you to Matt 7:15, then to Acts 20 as follows: 25"Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again. 26Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. 27For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. 28Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.[1] Be shepherds of the church of God,[2] which he bought with his own blood. 29I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. 31So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears. Jesus throughout His ministry referred to the Kingdom of Heaven in His parables and other sayings. With that phrase, it's obvious he's referring to all those who are part of God's family, trying to abide by God's will. Now we all know there are false teachers from the prophecies in the Bible as cited above. So, after becoming a christian, a child of God can be deceived and start following the Devil instead. He or she can become "wolf in sheep's clothing" deceiving other naive christians or unlearned of God's Word. That's the only way I can interpret this passage. What are your thoughts on it? God bless. |

323 | what happened ? | Bible general Archive 2 | Rowdy | 110709
I'm not exactly sure what you're saying and if there's a specific question but I'll take a shot and respond. I do sincerely think God intended for His Word to be spread throughout the whole world as indicated in the Great Commission to the Lord's disciples who later became Apostles. However, there is provision for without the words of our God as cited in Romans, Chapter 2. 12All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) 16This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares. Apparently, our God, the perfect Judge will judge us according to how well we listen to our conscience, our soul which is the image of God installed in all of us, since creation. So, if we've heard of Jesus and His Father as mentioned in the Bible, then we really should feel compelled to check out the whole story and make up our minds. If, on the other hand, a person dies, never having heard the name of Jesus and doesn't know a single thing about the Bible, then it seems pretty clear that God will judge that person without the words found therein. Again, that simply means he'll be judged by how well he or she obeyed his conscience. I'm a firm believer that all human beings (with the possible exception of a few mentally handicapped) are born with a good and functioning conscience. It tells us when we do the right thing or when we do wrong. If a person lives a good life, abiding by the normal morals of his world, to the best of his ability, asking forgiveness to the God that whispers His existance in all hearts, how can we see such a person go anywhere but Heaven. You may ask about all those other religions, such as Jewish, Islamic, Hinduism, Buddism and all the many others. Ultimately, I would reserve that kind of judgement (without knowledge of Bible) to our God. He'll make those tough decisions; I'm thankful you and I won't be making them. I would be very interested in see more discussion on this topic or maybe you may have some other question in mind. God bless. |

324 | For this cause shall a man leave father | Matt 19:4 | Rowdy | 110621
Remember, most scholars agree that Moses wrote the first 5 books of the OT, with the help of inspiration from the Lord. So everything is written from his perspective, at least several centuries after the events in Genesis took place. |

325 | Explain Romans 8:29 | Bible general Archive 2 | Rowdy | 110608
Romans 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; I'm not certain as to which exact phrase you're referring to but I'm guessing you may be referring to the controversy surrounding Predestination. That is another concept from the Reformation that is NOT supported by God's Word. This concept goes against the very clear message from God that he gives us complete freedom of choice in our alligence to His Son or to the Devil. So what does this scripture mean? I believe it should be compared to the predestination that all good, Godly and loving parents have for their own children. We as parents pray every day of their lives that they will do well in school, and then finally find a loving spouse, settle down and parent a family of their own. We might hope they go to college, get a degree and become a doctor, a lawyer or maybe president of the USA. We have in our minds a destiny that we would like for them to fulfill. To this very day, my mother and father still talk to me almost every time I visit them about the progress (or the lack thereof) in my pursuit of their destiny for me. They've always hoped I'd be the one single person in our family to finish college with a degree. I'm close and really should finish but then that's another story. More important, our Father in Heaven wants us to imitate His Son in our attitudes about life and the way we treat each other. He wants us to trust Him so completely that we'll accept His gift of salvation on His terms and then come home to Him after we die. Now, whether we do all of this is up to us. It's up to each individual to choose to be a law abiding, hard working, dedicated and solid addition to the community of sincere, ernest people of this world. On the other hand, we can choose to misbehave, break the law, bring kids in this world and then abandon them either physically, emotionally or spiritually or all three. Similarly, it is our choice to see ourselves in a spiritual way and look forward to an eternity in Heaven with the ultimate Father or settle for all time with deceptions of the Devil and die an eternal death with him. Yikes...it seems like a rather overly simplistic portrayal of black and white. I guess I'd have to agree with you except for the fact that the grey part between the black and white is the here and now. As long we draw a breath, we can hope that God will forgive us when we obey Him. But after death, that's black and white time. Hope this helps. It's really not that scary after putting all your faith in God. Blessings to all. |

326 | I am not the one sinning? | James 1:14 | Rowdy | 110599
I would refer you and him to James 1 as follows: 12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. 13When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. 16Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. 17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. There's several other scriptures that could be cited like Gal 5:24, but I'd like to summarize by saying that we as humans have a weakness for this kind of desire. As you may know, all sins are divided into 3 basic categories: a) Lust of the flesh (our body), b) Lust of the eye (our mind) and c) pride of life. The Devil tempts us to think about these areas and he knows us almost as well as God, our Father. When we continue to listen or pay attention to the Devil's temptations, we are inviting him to "set up shop" in our hearts just as Jesus depicted. We have to see ourselves as kicking him out of our hearts or its sin and whatever else he entices us to do. In other words we are the ones who CHOOSE to be a disciple of the Devil or to be a disciple with each hour of our lives. That's why it's so important to score at least daily time in God's Word and "stay in a prayer" constantly with our Lord and Saviour. Upon sincere and dedicated study of God's Word, one has to conclude there are two major sources of influence in this world: a) God, our Father and b) the Devil, master tempter. The Bible makes it very clear: all good things come from God and all the bad come from the Devil. So everyone has to make up their own mind, are you and I going to be prone to one or to the other? Of course, our Lord is going to help us back up when we stumble but He won't stand us up like toy soilders. He allows us that freedom of choice. I really don't see how anyone in the whole world could possibly argue with this kind of logic straight out of God's Word. What do you think? I hope this kind of talk will be helpful to your friend. God bless. |

328 | the truth about tithes | Mal 3:8 | Rowdy | 110525
The only guidance I see in Malachi 3 is general about how we as mankind should think about money. I see no specific references to the contribution to the Lord but regardless, I would refer you the NT. We need to see the NT as have more authority on all matters, especially when there's a contrast between the OT and the NT. I don't think there's any specific numerical amount, percentage or any other specific formula to reflect our giving to the Lord's church. However, we are given examples of collections being made so we really should follow that example, as being a command. Another factor to be considered is the fact that Christianity is a better law than that of the Law of Moses, with a much better High Priest and a much better promise of eternal home in Heaven. So it's only logical our devotion to this new and better Law of Liberty should be reflected in our giving. BUT let me stress our giving should be ultimately a private matter between us as individuals and our God. You probably already know the basic scriptures on this subject of giving, i.e. being a cheerful giver, etc. If by chance you're talking about one particular person who has deceived you in spite of your being brothers in God's kingdom, that's a different matter. In this kind of situation, you must follow Matt 18:15-17 as a last resort. But our Father would really prefer that we follow Paul's advice in 1 Cor 6:1-11, unless the wrongs perpetrated by this individual is harming the church. We need to do whatever is best for the overall body of our Lord. Hope this helps. God bless. |

329 | Why so Many Churches? | Bible general Archive 2 | Rowdy | 110472
I can only tell you it's always been this way. Even with the very strict Law of Moses, there had developed several different sects, two of which Jesus criticized rather harshly (Saducees and Pharisees). He called both of them vipers as neither of them had a true devotion to God. You might be interested in knowing the Law of Moses had more than 600 ordinances, laws which had to be strictly adhered to. So, when Christ and His official representatives, the Apostles provided an amazing small amount of guidance in comparison, that set the scene for the tremendous variety of mankind to mess up God's will even worse. I suppose you already know about the abuses from the Catholic church; they're well documented in Halley's Bible Handbook. Then the Reformation and the Restoration took place, leaving the world a tremendous variety of procedures and topics of controversies. Taking the Bible simply as God intended sounds like a wonderful thing but it's been my experience that it's far more difficult to do. Our Lord prayed for unity and the Apostles commanded "one faith, one body, one baptism..." but it doesn't look that's going to happen during our lifetime. The best thing to do is to study God's Word to the best of your ability and look for fellow disciples who are just as devoted to following God's Word as you are. This Forum is a good thing and I'd encourage you to keep participating. It inspires you to dig deeper and find out what God really says about a subject. That way, we can discard all the other stuff and just go with what He says. God bless. |

330 | Is cremation right for believers? | Bible general Archive 2 | Rowdy | 110464
Personally, I think it's a very private and individual decision. However, there are several factors to be considered. First, I don't think our Lord really cares what we do with our bodies after one is deceased. I guess a person could point out that Jesus was buried BUT of course He was not in the tomb long enough to be mummified, etc. My main point here is that our God is Spirit and the home He's has intended for us is spiritual and this world of bodies is all physical and He's going to destroy it anyway at Judgement Day. Second, this world is getting more and more populated every day with less square footage allowed for the living. Graveyards take up a lot of space, usually in prime real estate areas. Sometime in the not-to-distant future, maybe even our kids' or grandkids' lifetime, nations are going to be forced to start thinking about mandatory cremations. So, the bottom line for me and my wife: we've already discussed it and have chosen to be cremated rather than spend the thousands of dollars on a casket, formal furneral, etc. I'd much rather have my family and christian family celebrate and rejoice at my meeting my Lord, pending that is to Judgement Day. But when I mention this kind of talk to my parents, they react with a different attitude. And my mother comes from several generations of christians. So, go figure...again, it's a very individual decision. I'd like to see the opinions of others. If there's any Bible guidance on the subject, I'd like to see it. God bless. |

331 | Why do we read the Old Testament? | Rom 6:14 | Rowdy | 110453
The main purpose of the OT for us as christians is to "paint the background" so we can understand the circumstances and some of the reasons things are the way they are in the NT. For example: how can you possibly explain the difficulties the disciples have in understanding some of the basic lessons Christ taught? Even after the burial and resurrection of Christ, the disciples ask Jesus and I paraphrase "Now, Lord, can we take up our swords and fight the Romans, freeing our country from its rule?" You know of course Christ tells them to stay put in Jersulalem until the Holy Spirit comes to them. Ah, the patience of Jesus far exceeded that of Job. Now you and I see and understand the "mystery of God," his wonderful plan of salvation. But to them, it was a complete puzzle. We see that kind of shallow understanding of God and his ways throughout the OT. Of course, God's thoughts and ways are far higher than anything we can possibly think of. And here's a thought: if you and I or a large bulk of average people from this dispensation were transported as babies to grow up in their dispensation, we wouldn't have done any better. The main purpose of the OT as far as those folks before Christ was concerned was to be a "school master" and educate them as to what is sin and how much our God hates sin while loving the sinner. So you see, the OT is far more than just the history of that dispensation before Christ. It's a series of love letters. God telling all mankind what He made for us and how much He wants us back. A side bonus is the tremendous variety, beauty, depth and power of God, expressed in all the various books of the OT. Can you imagine how boring our Perfect Maintenance Manual from God would be if we didn't have the OT? Yes, as you can see I'm very thankful for it. While even, Moses got advice from his gentile father in law, Jethro in the handling of a large bulk of people in transit. And guess what: those same principles are used in almost every culture since then, especially the military. With all that said, however, we CANNOT and should not rely on the OT for specific authority to guide or restrict the activities in the Lord's church. Thus, you see all the 10 commandments mentioned in the NT, BUT the one about the Sabbath, so we worship on the first day of the week as commanded by example. There are many others, but I'll let you discover those on your own. I pray God blesses you in your study of His Word. |

332 | Question on one word in Mark 3:29 | Mark 3:29 | Rowdy | 110441
I was hesitating on responding to this question as I would love to see someone else's response first but I'll take a chance with the following. First of all, let me say, this is another somewhat controversial subject and is open for debate but I like to think Paul's letter, 1 Timothy, Chapter 4 is most helpful: 1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. I'd like to emphasize verse 2 wherein the "conscience is seared with hot iron." I've always been taught that ANY sin can be forgiven IF the sinner is truly repentant and resolves to do his best not to participate in that sinful activity. But here we see a person has literally rendered his conscience useless because he/she has seared it with a hot iron. This seems to be saying that if a person completely gives his soul to devil for so long or so thoroughly, that he CANNOT repent and forgive himself even he could get forgiveness from God. The picture of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is completed by realizing that it's this conscience, as part of our soul that is ruined, which was installed in us as the very image of God. So when we blaspheme against the Holy Spirit and truly intend for it to be for all time, no slight bit of regret, that person has literally sold his soul to the devil and there's absolutely nothing that could be done for him. BUT if he is able to repent of this sin, I believe he can be forgiven. I would say that he did not actually burn away his whole conscience and thus did not really mean to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Now mind you, this whole perspective is from within the person doing the blaspheming. It's an individual's choice to come to God and repent and we, you and I can't possibly know what's in that person's heart. So the only thing we can do is love all souls and hate the sin. We should, of course, take this teaching to be a warning and take heed. We must study God's Word and stay in constant prayer with Him at least on a daily basis. That's my two cents' worth. I'd be interested in seeing other interpretations on this rather tough and deep subject. God bless this Forum and all who participate. |

333 | Better safe than sorry? | Heb 6:4 | Rowdy | 110436
I'd like to start with a reference to my previous post of 109057 which dealth with this same issue. But in specific response to your query, I simply mean what most people mean with its use. When you find yourself with a problem such as the contrast between these verses, or the controversy surrounding the Rapture, Premillenialism, the requirement of baptism in God's plan of savation, it's always preferred and strongly encouraged for us to keep studying and make the correct conclusion. I always like to repeat that the Bible is its own best commentary. All the other commentaries are fine for discussion and opinions are "a dime a dozen," including mine. But we can't argue with God's Word. That being said, we're still left with this quandry of Heb 6:4 and 2 Pet 2. I can only say that I have studied this subject of "Falling from Grace" all my life. There's numerous examples in the Bible showing God's people both in the OT and the NT who at one time, showed their faith in God, King Saul, King David, Anninias and Saphira, the folks in the 7 letters of Asia from Jesus in Revelation. In all these examples above, God gives ample opportunity for them to repent and to "get back in God's good graces." King Saul failed to do so whereas King David did repent and is called "a man after God's own heart." Time and time again, we're warned to be on guard like Apostle Paul buffeting his own body to prevent ourselves from being lost. There's just too much evidence in the Bible against this doctrine, "Once Saved, Always Saved." To summarize "Better safe than sorry," I would have to say is best digested as follows: Are we prepared to meet our Maker with that conclusion? Could you defend your position in God's perfect court of law and justice with a truly sincere and honest conscience when He expects us to know better and to trust Him to settle controversial matters? God bless you for asking the question. Just keep studying and praying about it. I really would like to discuss this with you further or with anyone else. Please let me know. |

334 | can you lose it? | Heb 6:4 | Rowdy | 110358
I would refer you to 2 Pet 2 as follows: 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 22Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit,"[6] and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud." Also Paul is quite adament with 1 Cor 9:27. It seems Paul and Peter are firmly committed to the possibility that we as God's children can reverse our mindset and go back to the world of the Devil. I really don't know what the scripture in Heb 6:4; it guess it sounds like a contradiction but I don't think so. All I know is the plain, straight forward scriptures as cited above. I also believe in the adage, "Better safe than sorry." God bless. |

335 | No man ever spoke like this Man, NKJ | John 7:51 | Rowdy | 110357
Of course, we are contrasting two different passages with a different audience in each one. The first one Jn 7:51, it is Nicodemus asking the Lord the question whereas with the following, Judas is asking. 15"If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[3] in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." 22Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?" 23Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. 25"All this I have spoken while still with you. 26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. From the context, I like the comforting words from our Lord about His sending the Comforter and of course He is represented as being in God's Word, the Bible. He is the one who empowered the Apostles through their ministry and He gives us strength and assistance when we pray for it. Now that we have the historical records of those events, including the miracles and the many other activities of the early christians in the first century, we no longer need a miraculous measure of that Holy Spirit. God wants us to reach the highest level of faith and accept His existance and His Words in complete faith and trust. This of course shouldn't be a blind faith but one that is built on a solid set of circumstantial evidence and personal testimonies from our christian predecessors. However, I'd be the last person in the world to put any restrictions on our Lord or God, the Father. All 3 of the Godhead are certainly able to do anything they wish, thus we know or experience someone who enjoys remission of cancer after the doctors have completely given up all hope of this person living after a few months. All I'm asking is that we test the spirits of this modern age as we're directed in 1 John: 1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. If people claim to have miraculous powers as we see in the Bible, let us look for miracles of the same kind we see in our Bibles. I would urge caution about believing that God acts through people in this day and age. ALL Bible examples of this kind of miraculous power involve Apostles or someone who received that power by the laying on of Apostles hands. All except for Corneilius. He received the same dose of power from God as did the Apostles. So unless there are some 2,000 year old Apostles walking around, God doesn't work miracles through people any longer. He imparts those wonderful feats of healing directly. What is your conclusion about the matter, this contrast? God bless. |

336 | Worshiptainment | NT general Archive 1 | Rowdy | 110326
The only response I can think of is that of God's Word. I've found it's true like so many have said before: God's Word has literally amazing depth and breadth. It covers every imaginable subject we NEED to know about God and eternity. When we present God's Word in its simplicity and straight forwardness, its inner beauty shouts to those who are receptive to it. God proclaims "Here I am, I love you and here's how bad I want you back." I can only say instead of complaining about all the garbage and the bad stuff in the world, we need to keep looking and find people that are truly interested in sticking to the Bible and love souls. I can further say that there's good and bad throughout the world, everywhere. So, continue looking and above all, continue studying God's Word and of course continue praying. God bless you all. |

337 | Question from a newbie | Luke 14:26 | Rowdy | 110323
I, too, would like to offer a word or two of support and encouragement. I think you're doing the right thing in following God and His Word. Sure, all of us that have been associated with God's family and have lived on the earth for a while could cite many, many examples of such hypocrisy and other sinful behavior. In some few cases, it may stem from naive lack of knowledge but most often it's a situation of someone who has deceived him/herself into their own undoing. But how can this kind of logic make any sense when we're talking about where you and I and everyone will spend our eternity? The person drowning in the ocean doesn't ask about the integrity of everyone of the rescue boat; he just climbs aboard and hangs on for dear life. And here's a bonus: Just maybe, you'll discover a bunch of christians who really do believe God's Word AND obeys it and maybe even lead your parents by your example to their salvation. Going home to Heaven with God is so much better when you die knowing your family is going with you. I pray God helps you in this endeavor. |

338 | what does God say/think aboutt warriors? | Acts 10:1 | Rowdy | 110301
I get at least a little comfort from Acts 10 as I am also military oriented, being USAF retired. I thank God that He chose Corneilius to be the one and only Gentile family in the whole Bible to ever receive a baptismal measure of the Holy Spirit, same as the Apostles. But notice even after receiving this approval and blessing, he and his household, were baptized and became Christians. I say all this because as you may have noticed Corneilius was a centurion in the Roman Army. So God certainly does approve of the military being in the kingdom or His Son's church. Now, in stark contrast to this we see in the Gospels, the account of Peter taking the sword and cutting off the ear of one of those about to arrest our Lord. But "No," says our Lord, this is not to be and restores the ear. So our Lord and His Father DOES NOT want a militaristic portion of people imposing God's lifestyle on anybody. The freedom of choice is one of the main themes throughout the Bible, starting in the Garden of Eden and on through Revelation. One cannot cite any Biblical commands or any examples implying this kind of behavior. In fact, we are encouraged to bless those who curse or persecute us as christians. 339 | WHAT IS PURGATORY? WHO NEEDS IT? | Bible general Archive 2 | Rowdy | 110011
The best I can do for you is recommend the following website: http://www.apologeticspress.org/ There they get pretty deep into the Word and are much more qualified to discuss those tough subjects. I gotta say I don't really believe in this idea as it doesn't have any basis in the Bible. I think it was fostered by the Catholic church over the past several centuries, but again study with those folks at that website. God bless. |

340 | LIERS WILL NOT INHERIT,OR SEE KINGDOM OF | Rev 21:1 | Rowdy | 109975
I believe you're looking for the following: Revelation 21 7He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." 9One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." God bless. |
