282 | Helpless | Rom 5:6 | azurelaw | 229233
Dear Thomas, In concern with the context of Romans 5:6 where talks about the helplessness of sinner, I think John 3:36 should fit with what you are thinking since sinners are actually helpless under God's wrath. There is no way for sinners to escape from God's wrath except through the saving work of Christ alone. Shalom Azure |

283 | Dress code for women | 1 Tim 2:10 | azurelaw | 229117
Dear Bluemusic, Welcome to the forum. Though most people would say 1 Tim 2:9 (However, putting on accessories or fashion wearing could vary from culture to culture and age to age. It would be difficult to draw the line.), I think v10 should be heeded with much weight for this is what pleases God and beneficial to man. Please read the verses within its context on Paul's teaching. Shalom Azure |

284 | did satan enter lucifers heart? | 1 Cor 15:21 | azurelaw | 229105
Dear hooper, There is no scripture mentioning Satan enters Lucifer's heart. As Biblicalman has explained that within the context of the Bible passage, Lucifer refers to the king of Babylon, thus it is merely a human being. Since we all know that human hearts were long perverted when sin entered into the world because of Adam's disobedience, the result is that human inherited the sinful nature. In that sense, what we (sinners) do is according to our nature thus acting as an adversary of God. Shalom Azure |

285 | the time frame of Peter's crucifixion | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 229102
Dear dre2171, Neither did the Bible mention it nor church's tradition had such record. It is apparently insignificant for our knowledge and faith. Shalom Azure |

286 | what was moses greatest achivement | Num 12:3 | azurelaw | 229038
Dear sarge5, I think number 12:3 is what should be Moses' greatest achievement as this is a direct commend on him in the scriptures. Although he did signs and wonders and brought the Israelites out of Egypt (Exo 3:10-12), all were done by the power of God. Amazingly, throught the afflictions in the wilderness, the rebellious flock (Israelites) that Moses has to shepherd, he has been finally molded to conform to the image of Christ. I think this should be the greatest achievement for every Christians as well. Shalom Azure |

287 | GOD/ SATAN TEETH | Revelation | azurelaw | 228897
Dear Sharanlynn, Welcome to the forum. Why do you think Satan has teeth? Whatever the preacher says, it must be support by scripture. So, you better do your research base on the Bible to see what the Bible say about Satan. You may also do a word search on bible text on the right hand side with "angel" or "devil" or "satan" to locate verses about the subject. Frankly speaking, I don't think whether Satan has teeth/being teethout an interesting subject deserves our effort (comparatively to other essential Christian doctrines) to study. Shalom Azure |

291 | Can we determine thr truth of the matter | 1 John 1:8 | azurelaw | 228774
Dear Armond, With the view that the host Lockman provides all participants with the TOU guidelines and your longtime participation on the forum, whether Doc or whoever on the forum holding the monitoring role - does that matter you? Please do not be offended as I don't see the point to know who is monitoring the forum (you are not the only person asking the question) as long as we stick to the TOU and the Biblical truth. Proverbs 27:17 1 Thes 5:11 Shalom Azure |

292 | The Task of the Interpreter | Ezek 13:22 | azurelaw | 228759
Dear Brother Doc, Thank you for the quote. When I read it, I was wondering or guessing Dr. D. A. Carson could have the same thought when he wrote his introduction for his book "Exegetical Fallacies" where he warns readers to pay utmost effort, care and diligence in studying the Word, but also encourages us to work hard for improvement instead of drawing back for the avoidance of making mistake. Ignorance though sometimes could be an excuse for people to content in their comfort zone, yet, it is never regarded as a virtue. Shalom Azure |

293 | dating what is to far? | Heb 13:4 | azurelaw | 228480
Dear Waterlilly, What do you mean "...who can't get remarriage"? Are you Christians? It seems that you don't want to marry, too. Let's see what does the Bible say in concern with our lust:- 1 Cor 7:9 But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. Heb 13:4 Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. My advice to you is : 1/ stop such behaviour and pray for repentance. 2/ prepare yourself to be a godly woman and introspect and learn seriously on the issue of God-ordained marriage. 3/ find a guy who is a godly man and is serious about marriage. Shalom Azure |

295 | Why is skillfull spelled with one l? | Bible general Archive 4 | azurelaw | 228337
Dear Christinas, I don't have the New Revised Standard Version, however, concerning the word spelling, do you mean "skillful" or "skilfull"? Nevertheless, I think the correct spelling should be SKILLFUL. Which means two ls in the middle and one l at the end. Shalom Azure P.S. If you would provide book/chapter/verse, other users may be able to offer their help. |

296 | Don't understand Revelation and 1 Cor 15 | 1 Cor 15:28 | azurelaw | 228281
Dear biblicalman, I, like many of the users (I believe), have experienced with this many times. My suggestion would be that either you prepare your post in a word file, or before you go back to modifiy your post, you use the 'copy' function on your content, so that even your draft is disappeared, you still can secure it by pasting it again to the posting box. Thus your post can be secure. Shalom Azure P.S. It happened again when I prepare this post and I can secure my answer with the 2nd method :-) |

298 | Overseer and his sheep | Acts 20:28 | azurelaw | 228210
"... sheep are not at all the clean and cuddly creatures they may appear. In fact, they are dirty, subject to unpleasant pests, and regularly need to be dipped in strong chemicals to rid them of lice, ticks and worms. They are also unintelligent, wayward and obstinate. I hesitate to apply the metaphors too closely and characterize the people of God as dirty, lousy or stupid! But some people are a great trial to their pastors (and vice versa). And their pastors will persevere in caring for them only if they remember how valuable they are in God's sight. They are the flock of God the Father, purchased by the precious blood of God the Son, and supervised by overseers appointed by God the Holy Spirit." – John Stott
