261 | Does Christ stand alone for salvation?? | Acts 4:12 | Aspiring Overseer | 33333
Gentlemen, You are correct in saying that Christ is the only way to salvation, however, you miss the mark in offering the popular adage, "works do(es) not save us". Scripture tells us that those who believe in Him should not perish (John 3:16), but it is clear this is conditional. Even the demons believe and shudder. Those who believe have eternal life, but those who disobey shall incur the wrath of God (JO 3:36). Further, Hebrews 5:9 tells us that Christ is the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him. Sounds like there might be some effort involved, eh? Finally, Paul instructs us to "work out your salvation with fear and trembling" in Phil 2:12. This is curious if all we must do is "accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior" by "having faith" in His existance. Paul |

My Friend, Is it your opinion that man evolved? If so, what evidence do you have? Why would it be so impossible to believe God's design was to create everything fully grown and mature in every respect? Is anything impossible with God? Does attempting to piece together assumptions in incomplete and incredible schemes serve a useful purpose for you? We can always prove scripture through science, but we should not "bend" scripture to meet our scientific assumptions. That, my friend, is being a true "ostrich". |

263 | which came first the chicken or the egg | Gen 1:20 | Aspiring Overseer | 33178
This is a simple question, gentlemen. God didn't create Adam as a sperm and egg and grow him into adulthood! Neither did He do this with the Earth, plants, fruit trees, sea monsters and CHICKENS! Each were created fully formed (and in the case of living creatures) able to reproduce after their own kind.
