I'm not sure that there is a place in recorded scripture that specifies when, where and what God said to Jesus on this subject. Since Jesus declared He only did the will of the Father in many places and that Jesus also declared and promised to return. We have to assume it is the will of the Father and that God did give Jesus this mission. |

Yes they probably had access to both the Hebrew and Septuagint in Greek. But and it is big. Manuscripts of any kind were nearly priceless at this time. So the New Testament writer's access was probably limited to readings in religious functions. |
