21 | Do we have to sin? | James 3:2 | Saint Luke | 165052
Baldwin, You said "I am not saying that I am perfect or never think wrong thougt, but I do my best, and that is anough for God." Good enough for GOD??? YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS is good enough for GOD???? Isaiah 64:6 says, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Sorry to tell you this, but this is how GOD regards YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. If GOD thinks your doing your best is enough, then why did CHRIST die for the sins of the world? Why would John 1:29 say, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."? Galatians 2:16 says "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Its faith that justifies, and makes us justified in the sight of GOD. Not our righteousness. If you disagree, please clarify, and please provide scripture to back up your opinions. Good enough,.....that is a classic........ The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE. Luke |

22 | Sabbath or Sunday | Col 2:16 | Saint Luke | 164967
Ocelot, You said "Now just suppose you’re standing before God and He asks you why you went against His will....." Are you talking about SIN? Because after all, if SIN is going to send us to hell, then I guess that keeping the Sabbath is least of my problems. Pet 3:18 says "For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit" Wow, Christ died once for all sins. I can imagine that conversation with GOD. Question. GOD, do you mean my sins.? Answer. Once for ALL! Rom 6:10 Question. Even for me, an uncircumcised gentile.? Answer. Even you and all the rest of the WORLD, I have even chosen you from before the foundation of the world. Eph 1:4 Question. You mean GOD that I have complete forgiveness of SIN? Answer. Yes. The problem as I see it, is you have not come to grips with the security of your salvation (if you are saved). Your question sounds very legalistic, and if this is truly your belief, you certainly have put yourself under a lot of bondage. It sounds as if you still trying to get there by works? Abd just a small reminder for you, Isaiah 64:6 says your righteousness id as filthy rags KJV. Let's try to rightly divide the work of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE!! Luke |

23 | keeping the sabbath day holy how? | Ex 20:10 | Saint Luke | 164821
PRAISE GOD!!! You don't have to!!! If you are saved you have entered into Christ, and He is your Sabbath rest. Heb 4:9-10 says "So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His." And besides, unless you are from the lineage of Israel, you are not required to keep the Law. Read Hebrews. It shows the superiority of Christ over the Law. Luke |

24 | Is Leviticus 11:1-12 for us today? | Acts 11:9 | Saint Luke | 164820
Israel only. Read Acts 10 and 11. specifically Acts 11:9 "But a voice from heaven answered a second time, 'What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy. Read Galatians Remember, if you are saved, you have been delivered from the Law of Sin and Death. Quit trying to live under the unobtainable standards of the Law! Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE Saint Luke |

25 | Forgiveness,Repentance,Fellowship. | Ex 20:10 | Saint Luke | 164748
Lionheart, You ask would it not be proper to go to God with the same attitude of heart? In reading further in 1 John 2:1-2 It does not say anything about asking for forgiveness. It says we have an advocate with the Father, the very sacrifice that took away our sin has bridged that gap of separation between God and Man. We believers now have PEACE with GOD, through our Lord Jesus Christ, Rom 5:1 I do approach GOD with a similar attitude of heart that you described. I thank my GOD on a daily/hourly/minute/ even second basis for the forgiveness I have received. Should we continue to insult our Heavenly Father by asking over and over and over for Him to forgive the sins that have already been forgiven? Doesn't show a lack of faith, and a reason for weak believers to question their salvation? Maybe we think we have to remind GOD that he is supposed to forgive us. After all GOD is really old, maybe he forgets...... The last to sentences are fasicious, of course. Col 1:13-14 says "For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." We need to get away from this attitude that keeps dragging us down into condemnation. GOD sent Christ so we can have ETERNAL LIFE, not the bondage of never getting out of the starting block because of our condemnation we put on ourselves because we have truly never relied on the finished work of Christ. I have a desire for a deeper relationship with my Heavenly Father because I have Christ in me. Col 1:27 says "to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." Is there a better reason to walk in a manner worthy of our calling? The TRUTH shall MAKE you FREE Saint Luke |

26 | Seventh Day Sabbath | Ex 20:10 | Saint Luke | 164708
Hank, And a few book later Christ uttered the words recorded in John 19:30 Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. Heavenly Father then saw that the all sufficient sacrifice for sin had taken away the sin of the entire world. Must we then continue to go before our Heavenly Father and ask him, and some do continually, for forgiveness for what has already been forgiven by the perfect sacrifice, the only sacrifice that could TAKE AWAY the sins of the world? Reference John 1:29 and 1 John 3:5 Is this saying that we need another sacrifice for sin and the propitation offered was not enough for your sin? Is this truly trusting Christ as your SAVIOR, or is he just enough of a savior to get to your initial salvation, then it is it all dependent on the belivers actions? Which of your sins did GOD forget to forgive when Christ was sacrificed for the world? The TRUTH will set you FREE Luke |

27 | Seventh Day Sabbath | Ex 20:10 | Saint Luke | 164592
Anhill05 I tell you that the law was not done away with at Calvary? Book, Chapter and Verse please! And while you are at it, read Galatians! Please clarify your answer for the rest of us. Are you stating that the sacrifice of our Savior was only good enough to get us to our initial acceptance of Christ, and then our works determine whether of not we keep or lose our salvation and promise of ETERNAL LIFE? And you said ".....so that we can run to Christ and ask His forgiveness." Where in the new testament are we commanded to ask forgiveness for our sins? GOD ALREADY FORGAVE ALL OF THE WORLDS SINS!!! Please read 2 Cor 5:19 and Romans 5:10. Here is a cut and paste for you so I can save you sometime. 2 Cor 5:19 "namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation" Rom 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. We HAVE BEEN reconciled! If you are saved, you have already received this forgiveness of your sins. No need to ask GOD to forgive you continuously for what he has already forgiven you for. If you are doing this, how in the world is this exercising faith in what has already been acomplished. It sounds like you keep going back to the Law and your own version of Bull and Goat sacrifices for your sins on a daily basis. And as for your statements about murder and adultery being okay if we are not to follow the law, here is some more scipture that should represent your walk with CHRIST. Eph 4:1 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, Col 1:10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 1 Thess 2:12 so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. The law tends to lead a person to try to find a loophole around it. Truly walking in Grace wants to make you walk closer with your Savior, after all Col 1:27 says "to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory. The TRUTH will set you FREE. Luke |

28 | Under the law?No. | Mark 7:19 | Saint Luke | 164489
Lionheart, I agree with you completely. After all, alot of our present Laws in this country are simply a codification of the 10 commandments. Look at the issue of tithing. In the law, is was food for the priests who weren't permitted to own anything, and whose lives were dedicated to the service of the LORD. Now people give money, not food. If it were like it was supposed to be in OT times, can't you imagine the size of that offering plate! And in some cases, it wasn't 10 percent it was closer to 30 percent. We have church leaders saying you are required to tithe. Can you imagine a 30 percent "giving message" to most congregations? My comment, start living like a Levitical Priest and we may start thinking about tithing! But that could limit what we give. It says that New Covenant giving should be done cheerfully in 2 Cor 9:7. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. I don't see where New Covenant giving is from oppression and bondage like OT tithing. And just so we can get a Mal 3:10 blessing? It is ridiculous! Eph 1:3 says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, What seems to be occurring in the "Christian" community is what was happening in Galatians. A melding of the Law and Grace. It is pretty obvious to spot. I actually had on gentleman tell me that salvation (by Grace) was limited to the believers intial acceptance of Christ, after that it is based on your ability of inability to perform. I guess you would have to worry about loosing your salvation if the basis of keeping your salvation was your abilityy to perform work. I'm sure glad that we don't have to live under that bondage! Thanks be to GOD for accepting me into the beloved, wholely and completely. I'm sure glad that we don't have to live under that bondage! God Bless. The TRUTH shall set you FREE!!! Luke |

29 | Under the law?No. | Mark 7:19 | Saint Luke | 164432
Lionheart The requirement of the Law has gone away. The principle and morality are obviously still there. We should want to live the moral life out of thanksgiving and devotion for a closer walk with our Heavenly Father. If we sin, it has been already forgiven. If we are trying to live a sinless life and are afraid of losing our salvation, then it wasn't received as a gift to begin with was it. We have been given every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The TRUTH will set you free Luke |

30 | eat what you will? Mark 7:19 | Mark 7:19 | Saint Luke | 164354
Mark, First thing I can see is it sure doesn't reference any scripture, and sounds very much like unfounded philosophy. Again, the new testament is full of references to not going again under the law. Again, I am a Gentile, not a Jew. The oracles of GOD were not delivered to the Gentile world Read Romans 3:1-2 The TRUTH will set you FREE. Luke. |

31 | eat what you will? Mark 7:19 | Mark 7:19 | Saint Luke | 164351
Elder, Jesus came to fulfill the law, so we don't have to. And yes, the Law has been eliminated. Jesus is our High Priest. See Heb 4:15. Heb 5:10 says "being designated by God as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek." not Levi. We have a NEW TESTAMENT. We no longer are ordered to follow the law, I wasn't to begin with, I am a GENTILE. Try reading Galatians. It admonishes them not to go back to the Law that they were delivered from. It is also all throughout the Book of Acts. We are under LIBERTY, not the Law. Your sins have been forgiven. Quit trying to get there by works! So, if you are trying to fulfill the law, you best be sacrificing your bulls and goats, by the way THE WORD OF GOD says they could never take away sin, Heb 10:4 Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Don't be trying to meld the 2 covenants together. The new covenant replaced the old. The TRUTH shall set you free. Luke |

32 | divorce and remarriage for chirstians | 2 Corinthians | Saint Luke | 164245
Evangelistit Grace and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ! I have only a short time before I am dispatched, so I will write only this short note. 1 Cor 7:15 says, "Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace" Sounds as if your ex has some real issues. mine is still living with the Jehovah Witness she left me for. She claimed to be a believer, you can't tell it by the life that is being lived. I hope you can see my stand, don't let the enemy get a foothold in your life in this matter. John 8:36 "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. You are free indeed. More later, GOD BLESS In Christ, Luke |

33 | divorce and remarriage for chirstians | 2 Corinthians | Saint Luke | 164236
Have been divorced and am now remarried to a wonderful christian woman. In our lives, we can't fullfill the Law. You know this is the reason Christ came. Not justifying divorce at all. but I know it is just one of my sins my savior died for. I know I can stand justified by FAITH, because the truth of GOD'S WORD says I am standing justified. Just a quick question for you. Are you still trying to stand righteous under the Law, or are you made righteous through the work of Christ. Please don't take these as condemning statements, I really would like to know and am genunely coureous. Again, the TRUTH will set you FREE..... In Christ, Luke |

34 | Swine eating applicable today? | Mark 7:19 | Saint Luke | 164235
First of all, are you saved? If so, you are no longer under the law. Rom 8:2 says "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death." We are under the new covenant (if you are saved) Jesus delivered us from the bondage of the Law and has set us free! In the book af Acts, peter was hung up on the same thing. Acts 10:14-15 says, "But Peter said, "By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean." Again a voice came to him a second time, "What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy." Read Galatians, its all about believers who put themselves back under the bondage of the Law. We are under Liberty, provided by GOD'S grace, Not under the Law (of sin and death) Hope this helps The TRUTH will set you FREE Luke |

35 | divorce and remarriage for chirstians | 2 Corinthians | Saint Luke | 164171
Evangelistit, Are you saved? If so, ALL of your sins, and the sins of your spouse if they are a believer, have been forgiven. Cor 5:18-20 says "Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God". So I wouldn't worry about the labels "adulterer" or "adultress". GOD reconciled the WHOLE WORLD to himself, Everybody has the opportunity to be SAVED. 2 Pet 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance". Your sins have been forgiven, you receive it when you believe. But that is only half of the Gospel. The other half is the resurrection of Christ that ensures you have ETERNAL LIFE. Obvious scripture John 3:16 Don't let the enemy put you under condemnation, and don't be the enemy condemning others. Gal 2:4 says "But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage". John 8:32 says "and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." The reverse is then true, error will put you under bondage. Beware of the error of others putting you in bondage, or your error putting others in bondage. In Christ Luke. |

36 | Are Christians to keep the Sabbath? | Ex 20:8 | Saint Luke | 164121
Don't put me back under the law! Rom 8:2 says, "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death". Isn't it great news! We thankfully have a new covenant, the old is past away. If you're saved, Christ is your Sabbath Rest. No more law.....if saved, we are under liberty. In Him, Luke |

37 | license to sin? | Rom 6:15 | Saint Luke | 163911
New Creature, All of your sins have been forgiven. This occurred as a result of Christ's death on the cross and shedding of HIS blood. This all was planned by GOD "from the foundation of the world." Rom 5:10 says "For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life" So the world (the enemies) has been reconciled. to GOD by HIS provision (His propitiation, 1 John 2:2 "and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world." and Rom 3:24-26 "being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. To simplify, all sin is forgiven forever, except for the sin of unbelief. You receive your salvation, your eternal life, throught faith and simply believing, nothing more. See John 3:16 That being saiid, those who are regarding their salvation as a license to sin, and they could, really should check you salvation experience. Those who are expecting to not serve your Lord and Savior in this life (reveals the condition of their hearts while on this earth), then why is it expected they will want to serve HIM in heaven? 1 Cor 8:9 says "But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak." It limits our liberty we have in Christ by our responsiblity to others in the body of Christ, also as we live our lives as a living example to the unsaved. You probably didn't hear the gospel (and respond to it) by listening to someone who knowingly and willfully sinning and steeping in their sinful lifes stew. Luke 12:48 says".....From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more." Christ just wants to live His life through us, very imperfect people, HIS church, HIS Beloved, HIS Chosen. John 15:5 says "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing." New Creature, get into GOD'S word, let the truth set you free. 2 Pet 3:17-18 says "You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. New Creature, Grow in Grace. I'll be praying for you. In Christ, Luke |

38 | Election | 1 Pet 1:2 | Saint Luke | 163908
Mark, John 8:32 says "and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." Conversely, we have to assume that error will keep us in bondage. I'm just trying to stay in the truth. In Christ, Luke |

39 | Election | 1 Pet 1:2 | Saint Luke | 163840
Mark, I don't know how you came to your conclusion (if you were quoting from Rev 13:8 or Rev 17:8) as quoted below..... "But then we know our names have been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world." The KJV states Rev 13:8 "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Notice NOT written in the book of life. The "from the foundation of the world" is obviously describing the Lamb. The book of life belongs to the Lamb. So your argument is I see it may need to be reviewed. Even Rev 17:8 states NOT written in the book of life. If these were not your references, please clarify what passages you were using. In Christ, Luke |

40 | What should I do? | James 1:26 | Saint Luke | 163682
Recarnier, In my past, I have found many churches that put me in the same position you are in. Some even say "Seeker Friendly" in the advertising. Most of those have compromised on what GOD'S word says. Sorry to see you starting to act like others in your church. This kind of behavior tends to reproduce itself in the lives of those who get near it. I've been a victim of it a time or two. Personal advice "REPENT". I agree with lionhearts admonishion about "wait". You heard something, make sure it was GOD. To be sure HE will not compromise HIS Word. 2 Tim 2:15 says "study to shew thyself approved UNTO GOD, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." That is my advice, once you find out what the truth is, do not ever waver from it. In Christ, Luke |
