Bible Question:
If two confessing christians marry, make the vows before God and man, and due to deception, after many years of having faith, seprate 3 times and the husband divorces the wife because she left him 3 times, make the ex-wife quilty of committing adultery if she remarries? What is your take on this? And please scripture references. |
Bible Answer: Evangelistit, Are you saved? If so, ALL of your sins, and the sins of your spouse if they are a believer, have been forgiven. Cor 5:18-20 says "Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God". So I wouldn't worry about the labels "adulterer" or "adultress". GOD reconciled the WHOLE WORLD to himself, Everybody has the opportunity to be SAVED. 2 Pet 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance". Your sins have been forgiven, you receive it when you believe. But that is only half of the Gospel. The other half is the resurrection of Christ that ensures you have ETERNAL LIFE. Obvious scripture John 3:16 Don't let the enemy put you under condemnation, and don't be the enemy condemning others. Gal 2:4 says "But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage". John 8:32 says "and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." The reverse is then true, error will put you under bondage. Beware of the error of others putting you in bondage, or your error putting others in bondage. In Christ Luke. |
