21 | Ken, are you sure? | Luke 14:26 | Ken hepting | 101554
Have fun?? Hmmmm?.I'm puzzled.. Makes me wonder if you are really searching for anything. |

22 | Ken, are you sure? | Luke 14:26 | Ken hepting | 101550
[Jesus was, as I understand it, righteous, not innocent.] Indeed, He was innocent! What did Pilate say except "I find no fault in this man". If you think He was guilty in something, please speak it. Furthermore He had to innocent in order to be pure...Pure to be Holy. |

23 | Ken, are you sure? | Luke 14:26 | Ken hepting | 101549
["It's always been a "blood" demand with God." I've posted verses that seem to speak to the contrary] But you haven't. Lets begin with that fact. |

24 | Ken, are you sure? | Luke 14:26 | Ken hepting | 101543
Sure. The above doesn't speak of standing in the presence of God but only being rescued or delivered. None of what you posted qualifies for reconcilation. Only innocent blood can stand in the presence of God and live.
25 | Can anyone agree with this? | Luke 14:26 | Ken hepting | 101540
Luke 17:6 (NASB) And the Lord said, "If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and be planted in the sea'; and it would obey you. In studying this I find that if we have a "mustard seeds" worth of the Faith OF Christ we would be able to cast it into the sea. So now I see it is NOT my faith that does the thing but His and/but in accordance with the purposes of "Father". The extent of MY faith is to make sure it "abides" in Christ. See Romans 8.2....8.29 and then re-visit: James 2:18 (NASB) But someone may well say, "You have faith, and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and "I WILL SHOW YOU MY FAITH BY MY WORKS" My Faith of course being His FAITH in me doing only what "He" sees the Father doing....No "wick burning" here....It's all oil. Can anyone agree with this? |

26 | What comes after I'm saved? | Luke 14:26 | Ken hepting | 101536
What is discipleship, as presented here, other than being an encouragement or to urge one on in one's struggle to believe God that they are saved? What should come after you've convinced me I'm saved? |

27 | Christ and Christians? | Luke 14:26 | Ken hepting | 101535
[So, in this particular case, it would seem that the scriptures themselves support that God's methods change over time.] I don't believe that is an accurate conclusion. It's always been a "blood" demand with God. Why? Because life is in the blood. Corrupt the blood, corrupt the life. Give a transfusion of new pure blood and save it. |

28 | Why should we dedicate our baby? | Luke 2:27 | Ken hepting | 101533
I agree with the scripture and of course the reasons Hannah did what she did. The significance is rich behind her motives. It's a shame the Roman church messed all that up with the unnecessary so-called infant baptism thing. Hannah's deed is much more from love and less a deed from fear. If I loved the Lord dedication of my children would [was] definitely be in the mix of my life and love to God. |

29 | WHY IS THE BLOOD THE PRICE? | Rom 5:6 | Ken hepting | 101531
But why did forgiveness of sins require blood to be shed? I think that was the question asked.
30 | Kingdom of God...now? | Ephesians | Ken hepting | 101424
[The kingdom of God in an eternal Kingdom. It existed( exists, will exist) without reference to time. God's salvation through Grace gives us entrance into that kingdom now and in time eternal.] I agree with you but as with all God's Grace, I believe it to be a choosing that we must do because of His Grace which calls us to it. Consider the case of the rich young ruler. I believe it to be a good example of what I'm speaking of. Good folk get saved but never enter the kingdom. The result being an obvious condition of the church[s] suffers from,i.e., no witness of the Spirit within it. Jesus said "abide"...Most don't, most won't. Those that do I believe to be the "elect" Paul speaks of. |

31 | Receive? | 1 John 2:2 | Ken hepting | 101357
I'm with you on your position, this one anyway...:0)) You a Nazarene and me a Pentecostal, I'm sure we could come up with a difference of opinion here and there. But no, your responses have been excellent, more than I would have thought of. The verse I offered I remember from my experiences in the Holy Spirit and the ability we have in quenching Him thus "Thwarting" His purpose for the moment or messing up some specific opportunity by not responding to His urgings. I know that to be real not only in my own life but the lives of others who have been there. If the Spirit is subject to the prophet [1Cor.14.37] that means the prophet has the mind of God and but has option NOT to speak it. Of course there are reasons why one wouldn't. See Balaam and the donkey. I don't wish to resurrect the thread but suffice to say it's a "freewill" thing through and through. Can't be any other way and call it God's love. Regards, Ken |

32 | Receive? | 1 John 2:2 | Ken hepting | 101349
What does this verse mean to you, Tim, and can you see application in your argument that man does always have a freewill? 1 Cor. 14:32 (NASB) and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; Notice they are not subject to God. Elseware it is seen where men can fall away. Fall away from what? After becoming what? Ken |

33 | Purpose of this forum? | Luke 14:26 | Ken hepting | 101327
Not from my point of view. Your above letter is well worded and I ceratinly hear your heart beat in the matter. Rest assured God does, too. He desires His hearers to be real with Him and come away from "whitewash/plastic" salvation "protocol". If you are convinced of the saving grace of God through Christ my urging for you is to move on in Him; become as He has purposed, a son unto Him, that you share as a jointheir in all the things of Christ in that day. God's speed in your journey Ken |

34 | Kingdom of God...now? | Ephesians | Ken hepting | 101322
I'm not quite sure of your light bulb thing but you are right on the money as to the perfecting of the saints. Since His power is a trust we don't get His trust unless we earn it and that by abandonment to Him that He be all in all to us. Praise God that He has shown you some tough stuff. Ken |

35 | What is the correct procedure for going | Ephesians | Ken hepting | 101319
[If you are in Christ you have been delivered from the world and into the kingdom of God. You are not free from trials (at times very severe trials) but you have been freed to struggle against sin and temptation.] If, if..... If, doesn't become a "seal of completion" until I have overcome...the evil one. Meaning, "if" I believe in Christ my battle/journey is just beginning....ergo, my wilderness experience; my opportunity to reveal my allegiance to Father as He did then the above [from Reformer] is made real and effective. |

36 | explain ephesians 4:1-4 | Ephesians | Ken hepting | 101318
Ephes. 4:1-4 (NASB) I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, [2] with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, [3] being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. [4] There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; I pure piece of encouragement from one born again kingdom dweller to another. |

38 | A couple of questions | Matt 28:18 | Ken hepting | 101312
The reason "mommapbs" is signed to this is an error on my part....poor copy and paste tech. and bad proof reading...sorry about that. I'm just getting old. Sorry "mom"....:0) |

39 | How do you "share the Gospel?" | Matt 28:18 | Ken hepting | 101310
I understand and agree. "Agape" is what I'm after in any reference to God. I apologize for not being more clear on that. I have learned that to be almost a geographical kind of thing, i.e., Agape-Kingdom of God-abiding, experience. Step out of it, and you're own yer own...back in the flesh, but not unto death..but for correction and adminishion. Stay in it and stay in the mind of Christ to ".....be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Cor. 15:58 (NASB) The kingdom is where the "Rest" is. Hebrews 4:10 (NASB) For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Let's hear more, Ray. Ken |

40 | God's or ours | Matt 28:18 | Ken hepting | 101308
Great question, Ray! I see, from scripture, that our soul is to be made perfect through sufferings/trials/temptations. The perfecting of our souls is OUR responsibility unto "sonship" with the Father. See 1 Pet...1 John. Our soul is to come into union with the Father's MIND and that through our perfect[ed] spirit by the work of Himself as you have stated. This is the work any born again believer needs to be about instead of wearing out his/her "dedicator" every Sunday in a "woe is me" contrition...And every preacher ought to be about preaching that it not be necessary if one gets on in the becoming unto God, that which He has purposed. |
