201 | Is "slain in the Spirit" biblical? | Matt 16:6 | gracefull | 91276
Thank you Colin for our conversation. I would like to leave you with one tiny point to ponder. What is the criteria by which we decide to apply faith to anything? Without the 'pegging' of faith to something it will not happen, but the realization that it is God's will must come first. Continue in the scriptures. The Holy Spirit is the revealer of the will of God for each of us through the Word. God bless! |

202 | Release and Faith Question | Rev 22:18 | gracefull | 91271
Hi radioman, "'Of the multiple views of faith held by Faith teachers,10 Copeland focuses primarily on an understanding of faith as a force. "Faith is a power force," he claims. "It is a tangible force. It is a conductive force."11 Moreover, "faith is a spiritual force....It is substance. Faith has the ability to effect natural substance."12 As "the force of gravity...makes the law of gravity work...this force of faith...makes the laws of the spirit world function."13" Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. NAS (5) - assurance, 2; confidence, 2; nature, 1 'Copeland affirms that "God cannot do anything for you apart or separate from faith,"14 for "faith is God's source of power" (emphasis in original).15 Moreover, "everything that you're able to see or touch, anything that you can feel, anything that's perceptive to the five physical senses, was originally the faith of God, and was born in the substance of God's faith."16 In other words, "faith was the raw material substance that the Spirit of God used to form the universe."17 Note the key phrase (for you) without faith Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Also grace, righteousness, new birth, and Holy Spirit baptism to name a few others. Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." God did frame the worlds and all things by faith and His Word. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. John 1:2-4 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. ALL THINGS 'Copeland adds that "God used words when He created the heaven and the earth....Each time God spoke, He RELEASED his FAITH - the creative power to bring His words to pass."18 For "words are spiritual containers,"19 and the "force of FAITH is RELEASED by words."20 Remember Hebrews 11:3..worlds framed by faith... then listen to Genesis 1 Genesis 1:33 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. Genesis 1:6 Then God said, "Let there be an (13) expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." ETC.. Besides, the idea of words functioning as faith-filled containers makes no sense if there is no such thing as a "force of faith" (requiring packaging and transportation) in the first place. Matthew 12:35-37 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Man will have to account for EVERY IDLE WORD. Why is man going to be held so accountable if words are merely communicated thoughts of little value? What happens in the spirit world when man speaks? This verse does not merely state that we will be judged for the thoughts and intents of the heart, but for every idle word that proceeds from the heart, not JUST the heart...I wonder why? God bless |

203 | Release and Faith Question | Rev 22:18 | gracefull | 91251
Hello John, "Faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen." "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." Faith produces the manifestation of God's will in the earth when God's people ACT UPON the Word of God. Faith without works is dead. Faith must be released by action. Faith without corresponding actions is dead, not faith at all. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Why does every promise of God have to be received by faith including our salvation, our righteousness, our justification, the Holy Spirit infilling, the gifts, and all the promises....ALL cannot be received except through the avenue of faith. "Biblical faith is trusting in God to the exclusion of things seen; "for we walk by faith, not by sight." Faith in the Word of God produces the promises of God. It is not walking through life with blinders on hoping God will do something. Scripture teaches us that faith must be applied to the Word. Faith without the Word is hope and hope does not produce. Faithful actions can be called seed... Example Matthew 8:9-11 8 But the centurion said, "Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 "For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it." 9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. Faith spoke and said...All you must do is speak the Word and the work will be done because you have the authority over sickness and desease. What did faith produce? the healed servant.. Who was Jesus? The Word of God made flesh. God's Word and will manifested through Jesus. So faith in God's Word is faith in Jesus and God. And God is faithful to His Word. This in not new age mysticism. New age mysticism says, " I am god and what I think I can produce." New age mysticism is the Satanic counterfeit of God's truth and excludes the existence of God and Jesus. God bless God bless |

Matt, You said.. "You mentioned that some of the points I brought up could hinder a person receiving a healing. I find it difficult to beleive that a healing can be hindered by asking God that he may be glorifed in whatever his plan of healing is for you." Absolutely not, but if we believe God is glorified somhow by our sickness, we do not and will not believe for a healing. According to your faith be it unto you. Matthew 9:28-29 28 When He entered the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord." 29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, "It shall be done to you according to your faith." . It says that Joh 11:35 Jesus wept. I believe He was weeping for the living. "Christ prayer was to heal Lazarus that others may believe on the one who sent him." You are correct in part I believe. Jesus was praying out loud that the croud could hear Him speaking to the Father and would know that when the miracle took place, they would know God and Jesus were in communion. Note verse 42 I am not clear on your point, so if you would clarify it so I can address it, but this is too general. I know God heals because He loves us and for His glory. The same Spirit in Christ is in us...The same Spirit that worked through Jesus...Matthew 12:28 is in us... I believe healing is provided through Jesus's stripes, and is received by faith. God bless |

Ed, You are correct, but if both our hearts are truly yielded to know the truth, I believe the Holy Spirit will correct us. I do not mind exploring every avenue..But we have already discovered key scriptures we do not agree on. Until we can see eye to eye on these we are at a dead end. But I will be glad to continue with this discussion as long as you can refrain from making deragatory statements about WOF believers and teachers. Let the scripture speak for itself... About the books..I will not read the rest of Hank's book because I have seen where he took things out of context and did not compare actual teachings with scripture. Had he done a side by side comparison in context, I might would have read it. But the reason this is not a major desire of mine is that I do trust the Holy Spirit to enlighten me through the word, and do hold men's interpretations as nothing more than points to consider. What was the other book? I was going to get it as well, but became very busy in other studies. Refresh my memory. God bless |

"Graceful my statement was addressing 99 percent of the WOF crowd." I doubt you know 99 percent so this is personal opinion. "Yes we are in the kingdom spiritually but not physically. Death Hell and the grave has yet to be cast into the lake of fire." This statement does not address my point. God made provisions for our physical in the spiritual kingdom of God. "However I don't believe He always heals everyone as we expect." Correct...He heals in accordance with His word. "I also do not believe God will heal through men that profit by it. Which includes about 90 percent of the WOF teachers you so defend." I believe people in ministry should receive a salary, and I believe God is the manager of how much. "Graceful I still and will always believe that your taking promises that were spiritual promises and trying to apply them to our physical condition today." You believe 1 Peter 2:24 is 'spiritual' healing and I believe it is both spiritual and physical. And since the KJV crossreferences this verse back to Isaiah 53:4, I am confident in what I believe. God bless my brother. |

"Like Paul's thorn and Jesus' prayer ("take this cup..."), sometimes the blessing is in what He witholds and in what happens to our hearts in response to His witholding. It's sometimes so poignant, the feeling that comes from this attitude." I addressed the subject of Paul's 'thorn'in the thread beginning with ID# 81017 While I agree with this understanding of God's disciplining and guiding us, Paul's thorn was not sickness and desease. And I believe to add sickness and desease when none of the words in the text indicate such is mistranslating these verses. As a matter of fact in this post I took the entire BOOK and could not find one place where Paul uses the words suffering, or enduring in relationship to sickness and desease. I believe the subject of sickness and desease are addressed in Isaiah 53:4 and 1 Peter 2:24 completely. Persecutions, afflictions, and other attacks of the enemy (be they spirit or man prompted by spirit) are the 'sufferings with Christ' we can expect. Besides, how can I know all that He is actually witholding? (Rom 8:28) "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." In context: 26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Pay close attention to verse 29...predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ Jesus...Does scripture teach us that Jesus was 'sick or deseased' or does it rather teach us that Jesus HEALED the sick and deseased... This verse does not indicate witholding but rather it indicates the working of the Holy Spirit to turn or work all situations for our good. This in no way means we are to tolerate things in our lives that Jesus has paid the price for. Again, Isaiah 53:4 and 1 Peter 2:24 state that it is not God's will for us to be sick or deseased. Jesus paid the price for our healing. "As for believing or doubting the genuineness our brethren's actions, I think we are asked to hone, not relinquish our critical objectivity. Discernment is highly scriptural. (Phi 1:9) "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment," I agree that we are to use discernment and work out our own salvation...but what do we do with that discernment? Colin, I appreciate you taking the time to discuss this with me. I do not believe that it is God's will for His children to be bound by sickness and desease. He has provided all we need to walk free from this bondage, Jesus stripes and the Word to teach us this fact. Faith must come through meditation which will bring enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. Odviously you believe God heals, but you seem to doubt that it is His will to heal your son. All I can say is that I believe it is His will, and that He is not witholding healing to teach you and your wife. I do believe we must come to this knowledge before we can receive. May God continue to bless your family my brother. God bless |

Ed, I respectfully disagree. Once again 1 Peter 1:24 uses the Strong's word #2390 As does Mark 5:29( 29 Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.) If the meaning of the word had changed due to context, it would be a different word translated the same. Peter did not choose a different word which means 'spiritual healing' but rather chose the SAME word meaning physical and spiritual healing, thus the word healed in 1 Peter does not change meanings simply because it is used in a different context. And when you look at the punctuation in 1 Peter using the semi colon(NASB) or colon (KJV) an independent clause follows. The statement "(for) by His wounds you were healed" is an independent clause. Example: I went fishing at Lake ______: It is known for it's huge bass. Thus, it is my CONCLUSION that Peter is including this statement (by whose stripes you were healed) to complete the reference accurately. Isaiah 53:4 God bless 1Peter 1:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. |

Hi radioman.. You are correct the word 'release' is not used in any verse together with faith...May I ask...is there any example of 'faith' in scripture where faith does not 'do something' before receiving the manifestation of the promise? For example: Hebrews 11 God bless |

"We believers all have faith and don't need faith-plus for God to heal. Aimee Semple healed all kinds of people, heathens and believers alike. God is full of surprises." "My wife and I came to faith through our son's illness, and many blessings have come to us as a result. If anything, it brings us closer to Him every day." Praise God for your coming to know Him! I will point out that when many of us finally yielded to the call of the Holy Spirit to surrender to the Lord and receive His gift of salvation, had devastating circumstances such as death, divorce, financial loss, drug addictions...But we do not hold onto these simply because they were the breaking point of our resistance to God's love. If addiction brought me to the point of surrender, I will not cling to the alcoholism because scripture tells me that "He who the Son sets free is free indeed". Likewise, just because the heartbreak of illness brought you to your point of surrender, let the Word bring the healing. Isaiah 53 and 54. The horrors of the world were not and are not 'gifts of God' to bring us to repentance. God's goodness brought us to repentance. Roman's 2:4 The circumstances were bad enough that when the Holy Spirit beckoned, we surrendered. Does that make sense? Just pray about it and ask the Lord to show you it these things are true. I agree that we do not need faith-plus something. However, faith must be developed. But I do see your point. Mark 16 says that these signs shall follow them that believe... they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. You have faith, every believer has 'the measure of faith'. Faith grows through the spiritual hearing of the Word. The challenge he gave you IS scriptural. "As for those slain in the spirit, to my eye some fall because others do." I have too, but this does not mean being slain in the Spirit is not genuine. When I find myself watching others and wondering if they are genuine or doubting their walk, I remind myself of what Romans 14:4 says. "Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand." We don't place our faith in ANY other human, but rather in God who is faithful. We just pray for one another. I pray that if they are incorrect, He will correct, and if I am incorrect, correct me... God bless |

Hello Ed, The point I was making with this verse was that in the 'kingdom of God' God is concerned with our natural, fleshly needs as well as the spiritual and has made provision for them. This verse was a response to your statement concerning the kingdom being a 'spiritual' kingdom. While it certainly is a spiritual kingdom we are in, provision of our physical needs are provided, not just the spiritual. You said: "This is where convolution begins people are seeking a healing not the kingdom," First of all, your statement is addressing the 'gimme gimme' believers but I attribute this to spiritual immaturity and a lack of knowledge of the Word, just as children only view their parents as 'providers' and the issue of 'relationship' comes with maturity. An interesting consideration here is that we are already IN the kingdom of God if we are born again, and the provisions are in the kingdom...not seeking the kingdom. "Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:" Because like you we place our emphasis on our pysical well being instead of our spiritual well being. Speak for yourself Ed. You are presuming where my emphasis is. God's promises, spiritual and physical were given to us in order that we can fulfill His call on our lives, AND because He loves us. I will point out again that Jesus's healing ministry was huge! "The men you so admire the false teachers as I call them what do they teach seeking God or seeking a healing?" Odviously this question was not meant to be answered, because it is a statement of a conclusion I disagree with... God bless |

Hello Matt, You bring up some points which I believe hinder us from receiving from God His many precious promises. If I may, consider this scripture, Numbers 21: 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. Matt, why did the people repent? It would seem that the reason is fear of punishment and the desire to not die from ther serpents bite. They repented for their sin against God, no doubt. Why do we repent and receive Jesus as Lord and saviour? Because we realize He loved us enough to die for us and that if we do not, we will go to hell. Is that a selfish reason? Matthew 14:14 14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. Why did Jesus heal? Compassion Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. Why did this woman seek healing? She was at the end and death from this illness was about to take her life! She had no other alternative. Jesus did not say, that because she only wanted to bring glory to God she was healed..but rather He said, "Your faith has made you whole." Mark 10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. What made this man whole? Now we know their faith was in Jesus ability and willingness to heal. Matt, all that Jesus did was to bring glory to the Father but this fact does not diminish or replace these folks, and indeed all that were healed, desire to be healed for the selfish motive of desiring to be free from the bondage of sickness and desease. The idea that if we want to be healed because we do not want to be sick is a 'selfish' motive is simply not true. This is false humility. True humility is submitting ourselves to God's care by faith and releasing our own sense of self reliance. The definition of humble i"Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit.2.Showing deferential or submissive respect. Submission to God's will is the believer's humility. "Which is to glorify God in it. If it is our faith that moves God to heal us, then I beleive that we should not ask for God to heal us for our selfish reasons, but rather to bring glory to God." Not one who came to Jesus said, or even implied, the statement,"If this healing will bring glory to God, heal me, but if you are healing me because I desire it for myself, do not..." Matt, please consider this statement in light of scripture. If God heals you, He will receive the glory! Who else would? Now, one last point to consider concerning it being God's will to heal. Look back at Numbers 21. Why did God tell Moses to hang the 'serpent' to the pole and for the people to LOOK UPON the serpent to be healed? We must look to Jesus' sacrifice for our healing. And according to Isaiah this healing is spirit, soul, body...be made WHOLE. Matt, false humility is bondage that keeps the children of God from receiving God's provision because we are affraid of our motives. I submit to you that it is HUMBLE to move into the promises of God through the humbleness of submission and gratitude. Let me cahllenge you to read Mark 16 again and consider Jesus' words of the 'commission' of believers. God bless, |

Mark 8:23-25 is a perfect example of a progressive healing.. 23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. 24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. 25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. Since we know Jesus was not limited in His power to heal, what do you suppose limited this man from receiving his full vision the first time? Could it be that his faith grew when he realized he could actually see in part? God bless |

Colin, If I may..Yes there is some theatrics as some try to 'make God move'. But there are a couple of your statements I would like to comment on if I may. 1. How many full gospel meetings where the Holy Spirit is manifesting Himself through the gifts and such have you attended? "People were prone to being slain during F.P's services, which to my eye looked like hypnosis show histrionics." No doubt some people imitate spiritual things for show, but this does not make being slain false, only those imitators. Even Paul in Corinthians admonished the Corinthians and warned them that some imitators had infiltrated their services. 1 Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 2.." I took my son there in hopes of a healing. F.P. prayed over him, then informed me that my boy's healing would progress as my faith grew. That annoyed me, and I've since discovered the falsity of that presumption. What would be the problem with that statement? Were you expecting Dr. Price to heal your son? Please do not get angry at this question. You would be amazed at the number of Christians who have their faith misplaced and do not realize it. BUT... Unless he has the gift of healing, your faith or your son's faith would have to receive. And even if he did have the gift of faith, the Holy Spirit is the administrator of the gift. He decides when He will move. 1 Corinthians 12 Healing comes from God through faith. God may have been directing you to study the scriptures more in relationship to healing. Our faith is increased through the Word of God. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So odviously faith is developed or grows through spiritual hearing of the Word. And scripture tells us a lack of faith or unbelief can hinder healing. Even Jesus coulc not heal where there was unbelief. A lack of clear understanding of God's will from His word can be a hinderance to our receiving. I do not know you, but your statement,"That annoyed me, and I've since discovered the falsity of that presumption." 1St, you were annoyed, right away you were rejecting this word. 2ND What is the 'falsity of that statement'? "During one sermon he stated "Christians aren't supposed to suffer," and cited Saint Stephen's falling asleep as evidence for this sweeping claim." For clarity sake, He was teaching that the word "suffer" in the New Testament does not mean sickness and desease. In other contexts such as persecutions and dying to self for example, suffering should be expected. I listened to the entire series. My brother, I perceive that you were hurt and disappointed, but purhaps you should humble yourself before the Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you about this from the Word rather than being angry. Secondly, we are commanded to PRAY for a brother if we see them in error. Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. I have often heard things I did not want to accept. I refuse to become angry, but take them before the Lord and ask Him to teach me. This is the way to remain teachable and not have the flow of the Spirit damned up by logs of anger, confussion, or bitterness. After saying all that I refer back to my original question..What was false about being instructed to develop your faith? God bless |

Hello again RJJ, "It is a fact of historic record that man abuses the gifts of God,..." They were doing that at Corinth which prompted Paul to write his letter to 'teach' them concerning the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They were no less true then than now despite Satan's efforts to discredit them, and our immature handling of them. God bless God bless |

Ed, We are spirit, have a soul and live in a body. Our spirit man has been regenerated and we have been translated from the dominion of darkness to the dominion of Jesus. The new position of our spirit carries with it many benefits...healing is one of them. I did a quick search of Kingdom of God and have never really looked at all these in one sitting..This is great! But a few that jump out at me are listed below. Odviously there was emphasis on our 'earthly' existence in regard to the kingdom. Matthew 6:32-34 But seek ye first the kingdom of God , and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. What things? drink, food, clothing Luke 9:2 And He sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Luke 9:11 And the people, when they knew it, folowed him: and He received them, and spake to them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. Luke 10:9 And heal the sick that are therin, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is nigh unto you. "However we have been delivered spiritual from the darkness and are free of the curse spiritually". We are free of the curse...period. Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Where in this scripture is there any even vague implication that our translation into the kingdom of God is spiritual only? These verses clearly confirm that healing is part of the gospel, part of the provision of Jesus's redemptive work. And to answer your other post...Healing is a provision of the atonement, not the atonement. The shedding of blood is the source of our peace with God, and physical healing is part of the package. By His STRIPES we were healed! By His shedding of blood we were redeemed..to all that believe and receive..by believing and receiving we receive our healing. Why are some not healed? That is between them and God. I am not their judge and indeed could not be, because I can't know their heart. And neither can you, but we can be sure of the Word. James 5:14-15 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Does this say might or might not? It seems to me that the condition is not whether God will or will not heal, but rather whether the prayer is a prayer of faith...This is the requirement...not whether someone has passed their test, or whether someone has been faithful. Once again Ed, I do realize that as we are all still growing and have not become perfect in our heart and our mind, sickness can still come in, but only through our own unlocked doors, unprotected windows. You once asked me how I would respond if some calamity came upon me. My response would be Daniel 3:17-18 17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. I am human and fallable, but God's Word is not... God bless |

Ed, Infirmities are weaknesses, and your conclusion that they are sickness or desease is just as liable for error as my conclusion that it means weaknesses and NOT physical sickness or desease. Other scriptures on healing and faith are necessary to offset your conclusion so.... let's go at this from a different point...YOU give ME scripture where God states it IS His will for some to remain in sickness and desease. Because the fact that both healing and prosperity is received by faith...and the above scriptures do not prove it IS God's will for some to remain in sickness or poverty any more than our 'testimonies' of folks with GREAT FAITH who were not healed. God is the only one who KNOWS the depth of faith in ANY ONE. So you provide me with a scripture that states it is not God's will for all His children to be healed...not that all WILL be healed, but that it is not His will that they be healed! God bless |

It is not 'Heaven and earth' mentality. It is Kingdom of God believing. Christians are in the 'Kingdom of God'. Most are not aware of this fact and if they are, many do not recognize there is a difference. God bless |
