201 | Is it wrong to preach against sin? | Matt 7:2 | Norrie | 60584
Don't you wish they would have used the correct words when they translated, like condemn not instead of judge not and thou shall not murder instead of kill and Whosoever believes in Him shall not die but have eternal life, believes should have been more like committs, even the devil believes. Some things are so misleading.

204 | Should We Get Married Again? | Matt 19:4 | Norrie | 55477
I think you hit it w/he "claims" to be a believer. My husband claimed that too but there is no fruit. We've had a miserable 10 yrs too but won't divorce, stick it thru anyway. The Bible also says that if an unbeliving spouse wants to go, let them, so I would think this means you don't HAVE to remarry. I'd pray long and hard before I jump from the frying pan into the fire again. When he shows fruit, then you can make a decision then after much prayer. If you're making it on your own, I'd stay that way till I knew for certain what God's will is, not do anything I might regret later, just my opinion. :)

207 | What is Mormon relation w/Jesus? | John 5:18 | Norrie | 55173
OK, I'll ask him these. Too bad I can't get him to come here and let you ask him. It's soooo much better to see two great debaters hit it first hand than having to wait and relay info back and forth. :) I'm not near as good as you would be.
208 | What is Mormon relation w/Jesus? | John 5:18 | Norrie | 55165
I got answer back ftom Rick. If anyone has any questions you want me to ask him, please let me know. "yup, you probably heard what was said but the information is wrong. Alot of bad information is circulated about Mormons. We definately believe in Jesus as the only begotten son of God, our Heavenly Father. We know that without His sacrifice for our sins we can't make it back to our Fathers presence. If you want more info I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have to the best of my ability. Also go to www.mormon.org and check it out." |

209 | question to smoke pot or not | Gen 1:12 | Norrie | 54889
Thank you. I know salvation would be first and greatest step for my brother. He sure is stubborn tho. How long ago were you delivered from crack? Was it recent? I know that I was saved but still smoked pot and drank, I didn't have any instant deliverance from anything except maybe being blasphemous, I was bad about cussing. Thank God I'm not like I was back then anyway! I still have a long ways to go but I'm so much better off than what I was! I sure never want to go back. I'm thinking that song "God is good, all the time!!!"
210 | question to smoke pot or not | Gen 1:12 | Norrie | 54869
Thank God you were delivered!!! I have a question. You said you were a crack addict-did you get delivered because of turning your life over to Jesus? Is it possible to be delivered otherwise? I have a brother who is a crack addict. He seems to be doing OK now but no telling when the desire will hit again and he go down that street again, it has happened before and will probably happen again. He had been beat up several times, shot, had his leg broken, all from crack dealers-they don't play if you don't pay, you don't want credit w/them. |

211 | question to smoke pot or not | Gen 1:12 | Norrie | 54866
How can you smoke pot and not get stoned? What would be the purpose of that? Even the cancer patients that can use it legally must get stoned. I agree that casual pot smoking is better than getting drunk tho, far more people wreck on alcohol than pot but...:)
212 | question to smoke pot or not | Gen 1:12 | Norrie | 54863
I guess that depends on whether you get drunk or not, excess is the question there.
213 | question to smoke pot or not | Gen 1:12 | Norrie | 54862
Oh no, pregnant and doing crack!!! Yes, we will pray for you and her!
214 | question to smoke pot or not | Gen 1:12 | Norrie | 54859
I smoked pot for 30 yrs, I think I can qualify to judge pot smoking. Some pot smokers led me to the Lord too. Unfortunately, these same pot smokers loved pot so much, they eventually lost their home from spending all their money on pot, they had 2 kids too. Stange a non-addictive substance would make them do that, huh? My husband is a pot smoker. I remember when my daughter was born, he took the 50 dollars that someone gave us to start her saving acct and bought pot w/it. He has done way too many things in persuit of pot to mention including running up CC bills on cash advances, trading things that were irreplaceable for pot. When he doesn't have it, he is mean, nasty, irritable. Now he has a steady supply and I actually paid him off one time to get out of smoking it w/him any more because his dream was to have a wife who loved to smoke pot w/him-he needed money to work on his car so I said I'll give you the money if I can quit smoking pot w/you-sad, huh? But it's not addictive... Then his buddy just got out of prison for pot. He was on work release, had great job as auto mechanic at a dealership and failed drug test and had to go back to do rest of time-couldn't NOT smoke it and now he's out, goes to probation officer once a month, smokes right after the visit so he can pass test later. This man is in his 40s. No, it's not addictive! I remember wanting some so bad before but wasn't any available so I'd get drunk and smoke cigarettes as substitute. I'd even buy some roll your own smokes for substitutes. No, it's not addicting! It may not give you DTs, it's not physical but mental, but you still crave it, enough to do all kinds of things you shouldn't as in examples shown above. I'm sure there are many other Xpot smokers who can say similar things. |

216 | Explanation of all the races? | Gen 10:32 | Norrie | 54725
I have a friend who listens to King's Chapel and send all this info on 10 Tribes and England, the queen being descended from them. I usually just delete them when she sends them tho. They believe too many far out stuff to even take seriously what they may happened to have right. :)
217 | What is Mormon relation w/Jesus? | John 5:18 | Norrie | 54659
Thanks. I'm thinking about writing Rick and asking him why he does uses name of Jesus, that I didn't know Mormons did that and see what he says. :)
218 | Explanation of all the races? | Gen 10:32 | Norrie | 54655
Let's say that Japhet is the father of European nations, that would have been long before Abraham, then even further down to 12 tribes, then the Lost Tribes. I've read where people are claiming that England is decended from lost tribe of Israel, the Queen, etc. come from them. Wouldn't that be a bunch of bull? How can they trace people like that anyway? I can see where the Jews that stayed in one locale basically could have kept up w/things, that's how Jesus' geneology came thru but ones since then are missing too, aren't they? Then ones from before that went all over, how would anybody keep up w/them? Joseph and Mary had other kids, isn't there a geneology somewhere on them or what not?

220 | Saul and David - knew him or not? | 1 Sam 17:56 | Norrie | 52469
If in 1Sam 16:19 Saul sent for David at Jesse's house, unless this isn't in chronological order, it would seem that Saul knew David already. Plus he was going to give David his armor so if David had already been playing for him, surely he knew him?
