Dear Brother Tim, Blessed be the name of the Lord forever! Praise be to God! Oh Lord my God, early in the morning when I'm riding my bicylce and the sun begins to rise I see the beauty of what thou hast created! All praise be to Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world! I don't know how many postings you have viewed on this thread. I read in one of the postings that the spirit of God did not dwell in Old Testament prophets. I need some guidance on this. In the OT I see examples of what appear to me to be God's indwelling, or, maybe these are visits? Here are some examples: King Nebuchadnezzar says of Daniel that the spirit of the holy gods is in you. Dan 4:8,9,18 Dan 5:11,14 More examples: Gen 41:38, Exodus 31:3, Exodus 35:31, Numbers 24:2, 1 Sam 10:10, 1 Sam 11:6, 1 Sam 19:20,23, 1 Sam 16:13, 2 Chr 15:2, 2 Chr 24:20, Job 33:4, Eze 11:24, Isa 48:16, Isa 61:1, Eze 11:5. This also leads me to a couple of other question (which I'm sure have already been adressed on the forum. I am going to do a "quick search"). 1)When sin(s) was committed in the OT, were they (Abraham, Moses, David, etc...) "erased" "remembered no more" before the actual shedding of Jesus blood because they had faith of the promise, or, where they, as I have heard some say, visited by Jesus after He was risen and then taken to a place prepared for them? 2) Where did they go before the sacrifice (the shedding of the blood) was made for the forgiveness of sins? Was a different place than "His rest"? Side note for In the Andes and McGracer: Bretheren, This is not a challenge to any postings be either of you. Just a display of my lack of knowledge and eagerness to learn more about God's word. Thank You in advance my Brother, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Dear Denyse, All prasie and glory and honor to God our Father and to Jesus Christ who gave Himself for our sins! Below is a very good posting by Makarios form 2/20/02 that contains Scripture references. It was an answer to a similar question. (The tallest man in the world had a mother and a father! Even Goliath had a place of origin (Gath) and fathered offspring. In no way are the Nephilim the product of a union between fallen angels and human women. A much better question to ask is: How do you come to the conclusion that fallen angels can procreate with women since demons are described as 'evil SPIRITS' (Matthew 8:16, 12:43-45, Mark 6:7), and angels of ANY order are not given in marriage to each other or to any created thing? (Matthew 22:30, Mark 12:25, Luke 20:35) Demons (or fallen angels) can possess an individual, but they themselves cannot procreate with another individual. Also, if demons (or fallen angels) could ever procreate with women, then how do you justify such an action, since demons are the adversaries of men? (Matthew 12:45) - Makarios) Welcome to the forum! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Hi forum! I praise the Lord my God for this forum family! I have really grown from the postings of brothers, sisters, and elders! Praise you Father for the forum! This is a reposting of a questioned asked by Hank on 5/3/01. It looks like the question never really got answered. The subject was "Do demons still exist?" Here is the question: "Brent, the question may seem odd; however, there is a reason for my asking it in the way I did. The Scriptures do speak to the issue raised, clearly and unequivocally, but no one has cited them yet. The clue lies in the defining of demons. --Hank" Are there scriptures existing that have not been cited/posted? What are they? Your brother in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

149 | Do all little ones believe? | Matt 18:6 | Cyclist | 66392 | ||
Dear forum members, I will give thanks to the Lord daily for His wonderful love and mercy and grace! I will give thanks to the Lord early in the morning for the day He has made! I will say that this is the day that the Lord has made and rejoice! Is Jesus our Lord saying in verse 6 that all little ones believe in Him? Matt 18:1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" Matt 18:2 And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, Matt 18:3 and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matt 18:4 "Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 18:5 "And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; Matt 18:6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Have a blessed day in the Lord! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Charis, I will sing to the Lord in my heart the day long! I will sing of His mercy! I will sing of His love! I will sing of His grace! Thank you for responding to my question. Forgive my delay in responding to you. It's been a busy day. As I read further in Matthew 18, I see where Jesus mentions the "little ones again". Matt 18:10 "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven. Matt 18:14 "So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish. If I understand your first response correctly, we that are saved are these "little ones". Am I correct in assuming that? If so, please, if you do not mind, explain. Not a challenge at all. I'm addicted to reaching a better understanding of God's Word. Thank you Yor brother in Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Charis, Praise the name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord! Praise the name of Jesus who came to do the will of our Father! Praise the name of Jesus who gave His life for our sins! Thank you again for your response. I am going to do some scripture searching and searching on the forum, think on this for a few days, and then I would like to continue our discussion. I pray to the Father that he give me a teachable spirit and wisdom through His holy spirit. Bless you! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

owade, Blessed be the Lord our God who keeps His children in His protective hands! Blessed be the Lord for deliverance from sin! Blessed be the Lord our God who created each one of us in accordance with His will! Thanks for the input. I've done some forum searching and have heard (read) from both sides of the table. I'm taking time to let it "soak in". As the Searcher wrote once "I wish God would have just said it clearly." (Maybe not exact words. Forgive me Searcher if not.) There are a couple of questions that have come to mind. I have searched for an answer for the first one but saw no postings on it in the forum. It goes like this: If a child is saved because the parents are saved and are raising the child in the word and spirit of God, Is the child saved if the parents are not saved but the grandparent(s) is? For example I read the BIBLE and tell stories of Jesus to my grandchildren, and, have sung hymns and praises to our Father to them. Are they unsaved because the parent is? The other question is; Are we born with knowledge of God our creator? You don't have to answer that one, I will search the forum. I don't like to waste space nor other's time here on the forum. Well, I have just been given another week long project at the office. Man! I was active here for about three whole days! Now it's back to the grind stone. I will check in tomorrow though. God bless you! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in mouth! |

charis, Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised! Great is the Lord because He is merciful! great is the Lord because He is loving! Great is the Lord because He is kind! Great is the Lord because He is righteous! I've been searching the forum on this subject. I've heard (read) from both sides of the table. Still letting it "soak in". Just an added question while I still think on this. In the verses below, could it be that Jesus is speaking of those that are unbelievers and are pregnant because the babies will be taken at the time of which He speaks? Matt 24:19 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 2 Mark 13:17 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! Luke 21:23 "Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to this people; What do the commentaries say on these verses? Bless you brother! I visited your web sight. Bless you for the work that you do! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Charis, I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart and will glorify His name forever! Glory to the Lord most high! He alone is worthy! Thank you so much for taking time to share with me on this subject. I think that it is wonderful, and I am so thankful, for people like yourself who will take time for one like me who does not have time available, nor the resources, to study the depth of God's word. If you will, please bear with me because I will be asking more questions. Here is another one; Are we born with an awareness of God our creator? In addition, I look forward to a post from you after you have looked over your physical resources regarding my last question. If you are not able to continue our discussion due to other obligations, I understand. It is not my intent to be a burden or to take time away from your work for our Lord. I have prayed that our Father continue to bless you as you share Jesus in your ministry. In Him, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

cwade, The Lord is my rock and my strentgh! I will put my trust in the Lord my God for He is the great I AM! Blessed be the name of the Lord forever! You wrote:"We know we cannot lose our salavation, right? So if all babies are saved, would not all adults be saved? If not, at what point did the babies "lose their salvation"?" What do you think of this verse? Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." If those destined for God's kingdom were not born saved, from what or where were we lost? Surely at some point we were in the flock before we were lost or we would not be lost. At what point do you suppose that was? And what of this verse, Are babies/infants part of the everyone? Heb 2:9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. And finally, what do think of theses verses? Luke 9:55 But He turned and rebuked them, [and said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; Luke 9:56 for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."] And they went on to another village. In addtion cwade, You have not answered my question to you from a previous post. Will you? Please, please do not ever take questions from me as a challenge. I have never and will never ask questions to put any member of this forum "on the spot", and, I will gladly and in the spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ accept correction from any of my forum elders if it appears that way. My questions are all motivated by my eagerness to learn more and understand more of God's word. In the Lord Jesus, our Savior and Lord, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

cwade, The Lord our God fills my heart with joy! I will praise Him whenever and wherever I can! for He is good! I will praise the God of my salvation all the days of my life! I stand corrected cwade! I did say that I was still searching in the forum for my question. In fact, I did indeed ask two questions! Shame on you Cyclist! Bless you and answer either or both of them when you want to, or, not at all. My apologies for appearing pushy. My favorite command from Jesus;"That you love one another as I have loved you." Isn't it wonderful to be part of the family of God?! Isn't it wonderful to be a member of this forum?! In Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! cwade, Who is like our God? He is loving and kind and righteous! He is the creator of all things in heaven and earth! There is none like Him for He is perfect! Praise be to the Lord our God! Thank you for your kind post. I respect your descision to withdraw from this thread, however, please do not consider length of salvation as a mark for level of maturity in the loving spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ and the knowledge of the word of God. I lived on "milk" for a number of years and have not yet developed into what I consider to be an "elder" in Christ. I thank you for considering me to be one though. Please feel free to jump in on any question or comment I post to the forum, in fact, I encourage it! Always your brother in Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! Charis, Great is the Lord our God who say's "heaven is My thrown and the earth is My footstool"! Great is the Lord our God who's eyes are everywhere beholding both the evil and the good! Great is the Lord our God! Praise His holy name! Thank you for bearing with me brother! Here I go again with more questions. If I'm getting carried away or off course, please write to me "OK Cyclist you are now getting carried away and off course." What do you think of this verse? Here's another thing. In the Old Testament, sacrifices were made for the sins of all of Israel. Did that include the infants/babies? And yet another question. If I'm reading correctly, in the Old Testament, those that were under the age of 20 would inherit the promise land. Was 20 the age of accountability then? If I know children correctly, they mimick their parents and may have spoke out against God as their parents did, but, God was merciful to them and allowed them to enter the promised land. Well, time to get ready to jump on the bicycle. In Christ Jesus our Lord, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |
