All the Scripture you listed is summed up in the one on the top of your list (Acts 2:38) That will include Mat 28:28-20. Do this and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. That is, the Lord will baptise you with His Spirit. It seems, you already know what to do.

So is it you belief that Jesus no longer baptises with the Holy Ghost? How many cases do it take in the Scriptures to establish it. Jesus used the lack of a single (letter) to establish Truth. Do you thank, you may do so ,with whole verses in at least two different chapters.
143 | What must I do to be saved? | Rom 10:9 | jcsav | 147075
I am afraid, God doesn't want us to use math to figure out his Word. This is not a ball game. Just show me in Scripture where he stopped, Baptising with His Spirit.

148 | Why do they prey for the deads salvation | 1 Cor 3:15 | jcsav | 143340
Colin, An excellent book to answer all you question is "You and Your Bible", by Evangelcal Training Association. 1) The early copy of Septuagint did not contain the apocryphal books. (That is were the 66 books of the Bible (Today's bible) comes from). 2) The Roman Catholic Council of Trent in 1545,when the Romanists, in opposition to the Protestants, insisted that the Apocrypha was inspired. (Note: It would seem that that it happened in opposition to the Protestants and not because of any reaction to the Protestants. 3) It is my understanding that the lay-Catholics of that period was not allowed to interpret or in some cases read the Bible. They went along with the Church's Leaders. 1) and 2) information was taken from "You and Your Bible" by Evan. Training Association. 3) and Notes was added by me. |

150 | Why do they prey for the deads salvation | 1 Cor 3:15 | jcsav | 143386
EdB, the Apocrypha was not included in the Septuagint in the times of Christ. Christ neither any of his deciples quoted from it. And the Jewish historian, Josephus who wrote about A.D. 90. Who lived during the fall of Jerusalem in A.D. 70. says that no one had be so bold as either to add anything to them (the 22 books) or to take anything from them, or to make any changes to them; but it has become natural to all Jews, immediately and from their very birth, to esteem these books to contain divine doctrines, and to persist in them, and, if occasion be, willingly to die for them.
151 | Why do they prey for the deads salvation | 1 Cor 3:15 | jcsav | 143408
Jerome, who translated the Apocryphal books into Latin, explicitly said they were non-canonical. Is he Bias too. Only two ancient councils and those not widely authoritative approved the Apocrypha. A later one was the Roman Catholic Council of Trent in 1545. Paul acknowledges that God gave the oracles to the Jews and the Jews do not canon the Apocrypha. No where do God take that away from them. Saved or not.
152 | Why do they prey for the deads salvation | 1 Cor 3:15 | jcsav | 143416
EdB, where did you get your information. That the Apocryphal book was found along with Old Testament Books in the Dead Sea Scrolls? Book and Author, Please. 155 | Why do they prey for the deads salvation | 1 Cor 3:15 | jcsav | 143478
EdB the books I used was required reading at a Bible College. I know people that work there. I will make sure they update these material if they have not already done so. Being careful with internet material is always wise, that is why I like books. At least the book that I had, did say that they was still (at that time putting together material from the scrolls. Thanks again.
156 | some people say you must speak in tongue | 1 Cor 12:4 | jcsav | 143968
The post Searcher56 used showed his view. Mine was not an attack but simply stating another veiw. It was not meant as a personnel attack.
157 | some people say you must speak in tongue | 1 Cor 12:4 | jcsav | 143970
May I remind you, that it was Searcher56 that continually tried to bait me, and not the other way around. I did not mean my post to be an attack and just for the record, I do not stew. And you know as well as I, that Scripture can not be simply taught as you would any other book. If the student fell to understand it is not the teachers fault.
158 | some people say you must speak in tongue | 1 Cor 12:4 | jcsav | 144004
Very good! But our ablility to learn Scripture also comes from the way we hold the Truth that we do have. Everyone who comes to God is taught of God. If you get hung up on one point of Scripture, it can prevent your growth. The Scripture you used in PS is very good!
