141 | Spiritual dilemma | James 5:9 | Praise Be To God | 133220
Hi, Angel. My full maiden name is Janae DeLair, and it is French-Canadian. Thank you for asking. In regard to the topic, the Lord brought to mind the scripture about the tares: Matthew 13:30: Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." And also, last night, He gave me this scripture: Colossians 3:12-15: "Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body, and be ye thankful." So, it is up to God to do the pruning. My job is to love my brother. Thank you for your insightful reply. I am sorry my post was off topic. I was hoping to get some insight from some very learned Christians. Love in Christ, Janae. |

Hi, BradK, My scripture was at the top of my note, and is also at the top of this note. Your scripture, plus verse 10, also, states that he descended:(Now that he ascended what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)" Since no body knows where hell is, what would you say the "lower parts" is referring to? Certainly, Paul was referring to hell. Janae |

The tomb was above the ground. The Holy Spirit has told me that Paul was referring to hell. I did not say that Jesus went to hell to atone for our sins. His death on the cross did that. I merely said he went to hell. My intellect tells me that since Jesus took upon his body all the sins of the world, that he would have to go to hell, because that is what happens to the sinner (although, Jesus, himself, was spotless and sinless). He went to hell for us. He died for us, so we wouldn't have to. I don't know what happened while he was in hell, but I know that he won the victory, and the keys to death and hades. When we get to heaven all things will be made known to us. We will find out exactly what happened to Jesus during those three days. In the meantime, we have to listen to the Holy Spirit when He tells us things while we are reading the Holy Scriptures. He wrote them. He is the teacher. The Bible says we need no man to teach us these things, as the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. I can't make you see my point of view and I am not trying to. You are free to believe what you want to believe on this point. It will not affect your salvation. But, I do not want to argue about it. I think we should just agree to disagree and leave it at that. Well, apparently, Scripture says to me that Jesus went to hell, and to you that He did not.

Thank you, Mark, and thank you for your sweet spirit and pleasant way of saying things. What you say makes total sense because "Paradise" would be Abraham's Bosom, as you say and, the thief was with Him in Paradise. Thank you for making that clear. He lead captivity captive, then the thief would have gone on to heaven with Him. Thank you for your response. God bless you. This makes perfect sense. Janae |

148 | WTB, Where do you see 144K is the church | Rev 14:1 | Praise Be To God | 138443
The Church will be in the millions, not 144 thousand. The 144,000 is 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel. The Bible states this quite plainly. How can you say that 144,000 is not a concrete number? Janae |

149 | lessons for children that lie | Rev 21:8 | Praise Be To God | 146235
Dear Tonya, I am the mother of 5 and the grandmother of 7. For me, the truth has always been the best and only way. The Word of God is the Truth. What I have already given you is my best answer. I do not believe we should sugar-coat the Word of God. The Word of God says that liars will be in the lake of fire along with murderers, sorcerers and idolaters. There is another verse I will give you which may help you to see that the truth will do the most good. It is Jude 1:23: "And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh." Hope this helps. Janae |

Dear Tonya, God is so good! Wouldn't you know He would help us in this question. Yesterday, I took my little granddaughter, Mollie, to church with me. I stayed with her during Sunday School and Children's Church. The Children's Church lesson was about lying! Anyway, here is what they learned. The Bible verse was Proverbs 19:5: "A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape." And they had the story of Ananias and Sapphira to illustrate what happens to liars. What I learned yesterday in Children's Church, only reinforces what I have already given you previously. Hope this helps even more. (You might want to read this to him in another version, which would be easier for him to understand.) Acts 5:1-11: But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. 3But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. 5And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. 6And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. 7And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. 8And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. 9Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. 10Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. 11And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
