141 | Is the rapture biblically supported? | 1 Thess 4:17 | Praise Be To God | 132205
It does appear that Rev. 7:9 is talking about the Bride of Christ, the Saints who were raptured, and not just those who are saved during The Great Tribulation: " . . . a great multitude which no man could number, of all nations and kindreds and people, and tongues . . . But, I have been taught that we are going to miss The Great Tribulation--that we are going to be raptured BEFORE The Great Tribulation.
142 | Is the rapture biblically supported? | 1 Thess 4:17 | Praise Be To God | 132199
No, it is not. However, the Rapture could occur at any moment, and we should live each hour as if Jesus is coming this very day and hour, and not look to a future event to occur first.

Dearest Tim, I am very glad to hear you say this! Can you please show me which Scripture(s) point(s) to 3-1/2 years into Daniel's 70th week? I would be very interested to learn this. Thank you. May God bless you always! Janae Whitlock |

144 | Is the rapture biblically supported? | 1 Thess 4:17 | Praise Be To God | 132167
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. The above is talking about the rapture, do you agree? It states that only the Father knows the day and hour. Therefore, how can you say that the church will be raptured 3-1/2 years into Daniel's 70th week? |

145 | Integrity | Num 12:7 | Praise Be To God | 132037
Greetings, Country Girl. Thank you for your great response. Yes, I had thought of Enoch--another very good example of integrity. As you so rightly say, there are plenty of good candidates from God's Word. Job is a very good example, and there is even scripture to back it up. But, we have overlooked the obvious. The greatest example of integrity in the Bible is Jesus Christ.
146 | Integrity | Num 12:7 | Praise Be To God | 132001
Hello, Aaron. It is nice to meet you. Although, as you say, there are many good choices, I have decided that I think Job is the greatest example of integrity. We even have scriptures to back it up. Thanks to Kalos. So, in my mind, it's not Joseph; and it's not Daniel; not Moses, nor King David. Yes, decidely, it is Job. Thank you for participating. Praise be to God! Janae |

You are right. You even have the scriptures to prove it. Thank you, Kalos. Janae (Praise be to God) |

It's got to be Job. We even have the scriptures to prove it. Thanks, Kalos.

Hi, Angel. It's very nice to meet you. However, I disagree with your answer, and here's why. Moses did not even get to enter into the Promised Land because he did defy God! Moses even killed a man, an Egyptian. No, I think it was Joseph who showed the most integrity throughout his life. He always followed God and honored God, allowing God to lead the way through his many trials and tribulations, until he finally became the most powerful man in all of Egypt, next to Pharoah. Through all his life, he never once defied God or broke a command. My vote is for Joseph. (Although, Steve, I just saw your answer of Daniel. You are right. Daniel is a good choice, too. Actually, it would be hard to choose between Daniel and Joseph.)
150 | N.T. circumcision? | Col 2:12 | Praise Be To God | 131780
BradK, Thank you for your comments. Yes, I agree, from what I have said, it appears I was talking about sanctification. I can only tell you what happened to me personally. The day after we prayed that I would receive the circumcision of my heart from God, I was prompted by God to ask forgiveness from someone I work with for something I did not even realize was wrong! But, God spoke to me two different times that day telling me that patience is a virtue. I knew exactly what He was talking about and I immediately apologized to my workmate for being impatient with her. Then, that night, God spoke to me further and told me that I had made a good start, but what He really wanted was for me to ask her forgiveness, which I did the next day. All of this was a result of the prayer for circumcision of my heart. The work was being carried out. I am trying to be holy. It is like sanctification, I will admit, but it is even more than that, because we are all being sanctified. But this is more, it is cutting deep and cutting away at things in my heart which I do not even know are in my heart. I don't know how else to explain it. There's more, which I will tell you, if you want to hear it, and all of it began as a direct result of that prayer. (1) I Corinthians 12:13 is talking about the Body of Christ. (2) What a beautiful verse that is! And yes, that is exactly what I feel is happening. (3) Philippians 3:3 is another beautiful description of what it is to be a Believer. It says we are the circumcision--how beautiful God's Word is! Thank you for bringing these scriptures to my attention. You have made my day most blessed. |
