124 | What does Rev 3; 10 mean? | Bible general Archive 4 | lionheart | 231685
Searcher, Well thought out. Your first point adds substance to the position of those who believe the church will not go through the tribulation. I never thought of the point that we don't see the church after chapter three. In any case we as disciples of Jesus Christ should be prepaired for any eventuality. God's best to you my brother. 125 | babies life after death in heaven? | Bible general Archive 4 | lionheart | 231806
suncruiser, Greetings and welcome to the forum. Consider the culture and time in which the Bible takes place. If you refer to the Gospels you will see that Jesus was taken to the temple by Mary and Joseph when he was twelve years old. This was the age of accountability in Jesus time. In cases like this it's babies are covered by God's Grace being that they are not accountable. Hope this helps. In Him, lionheart |

Austin, This is why we are to be workmen of God's Word (2Ti 2:15). All scripture is inspired by God (2Ti 3:15-17,2Pt 1:20,21. If we keep these things in mind we can differentiate between truth and falsehood. In Him, lionheart |

131 | What does it mean to be "in Christ"? | Bible general Archive 4 | lionheart | 237160
Jeff, Bless you my brother. This turns out to be a much more discussed subject than many think. Allot of Christians wonder if they are in Christ. Paul mentions in Romans 6 where he covers baptism where he talks about being baptized into Christ. This is a great description of what takes place at our Salvation and subsequent baptism. If one is a true disciple of Christ then you are in Christ. Allot simpler than even I thought. In Him, lionheart |

132 | What does it mean to be "in Christ"? | Bible general Archive 4 | lionheart | 237163
hooahh my brother. the first time I really understood that verse that Paul mentoins it.absolutely blew me away and it was so simple. I'd been reading In the first chapter of Cossians that tells that it's Christ in us and thats when the light went on. Bingo! If Christ is in me then I gotta be in Christ. 2 Tim 2:15 hugely applies here. this is an absolute gem. In Him, (Boy oh Boy.) lion heart |

136 | I dont want to divorce. | Bible general Archive 3 | lionheart | 157229
markisredeemed, Greetings and welcome to the forum. I am relatable to what you are dealing with now. Yes adultry is grounds for divorce, but understand Jesus also told us that divorce was because of the hardness of mans heart. Marriage is a representation of Gods relationship with us his church. To those who remain faithful that relationship is eternal.God wants us with him forever. So it is with marriage,God intends for it to be for good. God has forgiven us so He wants us to forgive each other. Divorce is not etched in stone here there can be forgiveness between the two of you. That is ideally what God wants us to do. Many times we have the mistaken idea that when God forgives us when we come to him with our sin that the consequences go away that may not always be true, there are times when that does happen, but either way God loves us and will take care of us.What is important for you now is that you stay close to God,seek godly council from the brothers who are strong in the Lord, let the changes you are making in your life be evident to those who are in your life. Your wife will need time to heal and get her heart right with God. In the meen time leave it in Gods hands and ask for faith and perserverence.God always works things for the best,His and ours. Romans 8:29. I recomend also that you go back and read Matt 5:31,32 again. In Christ, lionheart |

137 | Did Adam / Eve know the meaning of evil | Bible general Archive 3 | lionheart | 157500
wonbyone, Greetings and welcome to the forum. I cant say for sure or not. They were not ignorant nor were they unaware of Gods Command to them. They did have freedom of choice. I would say bottom line right down to the simplest of terms this was a matter of disobedience to Gods explicite command to them. In Christ, lionheart |

139 | Is faith all it takes to enter heaven? | Bible general Archive 3 | lionheart | 161898
jedidiah, Welcome to the forum. Hebrews 11:6- And without faith it is impossible to please Him,for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek him. Faith is a starting point. Without faith nothing else is possible. Repentance, confession, salvation ect. There is little likelyhood that one will follow anyone or anything they dont have some modicome of faith in. Jesus tells that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains. When we have faith in God we take the reigns out of our hands and put them in the hands of God where they belong. Check out Hebrews 11 and Romans 10 they will give you a solid foundation and a better understanding regarding faith. Prayerfully this will help and encourage you. In Christ, lionheart |

140 | Suffering and God's providence | Bible general Archive 3 | lionheart | 162725
Hey atdcross, Hope this day finds you well and blessed of God. I will agree with you we are all perpetrators of sin (Romans 3:23).I dont see anything that says we are victims.Do we deal with consequences of sin, ours or some one elses? Yes,every day.The consequence and result of Adam and Eve's sin was death. Its something that if the Lord tareys long enough we will all have to face. Heb 9:27. When Saul was sent out to destroy the Amalekites God told him to utterly destroy all. He didnt fully comply. We know the rest. Saul attempted to shift the blame. In a sense he may have looked like a victim. Not! He made his choice and chose to not deal with his sin. I've heard this refered to as the Saul syndrome at times.Because of what jesus Christ did there are no victims. There are those who repent Acts 2:38,1 John 1:9 and there are those who dont or wont repent. There are no victims here. I will say this we can fall victim to circumstance, even consequence totally not of our doing. But we can claim Ephesians 3:20 on a daily basis. Somtimes I think there are alot of us suffering from the Saul syndrome, myself included. We are not victims,we can repent,we can deal with our sin,we can trust God.We can trust God to help get us through lifes daily challenges.Philippians 4:13. No one has to have a victims mentality. In Christ, lionheart |
