121 | Rebuild a Temple? | Rev 11:1 | Taleb | 78706
Where does Scripture prophesy the rebuilding of a temple in Israel, other than those which have ALREADY been fulfilled?
122 | Why did Jesus say "never again?" | Matt 24:21 | Taleb | 78675
IF the great tribulation is yet to come right before the end of the world, why did Jesus say, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be?” If time is to end at the end of the tribulation – why the emphasis that there won’t be anymore that could compare with it?
123 | When did the 1280 days happen? | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78664
Searcher, great question. Like I mentioned before, ALL of the mentioning from the rest of Scripture needs to be considered. The fact is Jesus pointed to the “fact” of Daniel’s prophecy, which WAS fulfilled in during the 3 plus years of Anticohus’ rampage. Josephus wrote concerning The Babylonians destroying the holy place: “This desolation came to pass according to the prophecy of Daniel, which was given four hundred and eight years before.” The details of the abominations cover pages. Concerning the destruction of the last temple, during the great tribulation, Vespasian declared war against the Jews in the spring of 67 A.D. During the three and half years, give or take, morning and evening sacrifices were offered daily until July 17th, 70 A.D. During that time, the abomination was being done just by the fact the Romans were “standing where they ought not” (Mark 13); the Romans “stand in the holy place” (Matt 24:15); “the disciples KNEW the desolation was nigh when they saw Jerusalem compressed with the Roman army”. (Luke 21:20). It's interesting, that until the 19th century, there wasn't any question about Daniel's prophecy, nor Matthew 24 etc. being in the future. Respectfully, Taleb |

124 | Still studying Mattew 24 | Matt 24:3 | Taleb | 78646
Joe, you wrote, “Not to mention that it solves the "this generation will not pass away until these things happen" problem” I always thought that too, UNTIL I discovered what He meant by "generation" rather than what some began to teach in the last 100 years say He meant by it. Then I "discovered" Matthew 16:28, which cancelled the whole error of that argument. I could never answer any of the questions that arose from reading it. "THERE BE SOME STANDING HERE WHICH SHOULD NOT TASTE DEATH UNTIL THEY SAW HIM COMING IN HIS KINGDOM." Are any of those who were standing there still alive? Did they all die? Did Jesus lie? Or, DID THEY “SEE” HIM COMING ... AS HE PROMISED? Which one do you believe? Trusting in the truth of His Word, I can only believe that HE MEANT WHAT HE SAID HE MEANT. One phase at a time -- famines, numerous false Christs, “He’s in the desert", etc. etc. all ARE written by the eyewitness as having happened, AS He said it would. I guess I can top this off with a “quote” from Josephus (a book every pastor needs to dust off). In reference to the utter destruction and the end of the Jewish World: “Accordingly it appears to me, that the misfortunes of all men, FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD (my emphasis), if they be compared to THESE Jews, are not so considerable as they were …” This was written by a non-Christian, eye witness. The historian who “took us back to the beginning”. It reminded me of what Jesus said in Matt 21:24, in reference to “the great tribulation non such since the beginning to the world …”. Oh, but “coincidences” do happen. Reading what DID happen during that time period of destruction, AND reading what has transpired in the world since, I honestly doubt if Josephus would change his “viewpoint”. It still REMAINS the worst since the world began. Respectfully Taleb |

125 | Taleb, When did Matthew 24:25 occur? | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78642
Yes, Searcher, “Therefore when you see” WAS in the future of “those” to whom He spoke. Their “whole future” WAS in our past. The abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel occurred beginning when the Roman soldiers came against the city and continued through the burning of it, the destruction of the temple, with no stone upon another and the placing of their gods in the Holy Place and their offering sacrifices upon the altar – as recorded in numerous sources at your fingertips. Taking ALL Scripture into the picture reveals the “when you see”. Mark 13:14’s says “When you see the abomination standing WHERE IT OUGHT NOT. Luke 21:20 adds “clues to our mystery”. “When you see ‘Jerusalem surrounded by armies’, then you will understand that HER desolation is at hand.” “This” happened over the span of time it took for the Romans to conquer the city. Surely you don’t think “The Holy Land” recently picked up that name? Maccabees, written centuries before Jesus’ birth, refers to the city, to the land, to the temple as “Holy.” Allow me to paraphrase from Josephus (an eyewitness, but not a Christian). The city is surrounded by Cestius Gallus, a general. He fought against the city for five days. Then, for no good reason, the army retreated. The Jews chased after them and fought against the Romans. The Jews killed 5,300 footman, 380 horsemen. This was during the 12 year of Nero’s reign. Josephus adds a little tid-bit. “After this calamity had befallen Cestius, many of the eminent Jews swam away from the city, as from a ship when it is going to sink.” From many great Christian historians, we learn all the Christians fled to Pella. Just like His word promised, all of God’s “sealed” people (Jewish Christians) escaped the wrath that fell. HIS-story informs us ALL the Christians who heeded Christ’s warnings escaped alive. As explained in Rev. 12, after the sounding of the last trumpet, which 1 Cor 15:52 reveals. Interesting that Jesus’ warning (verses about not being pregnant, unclothed, or walking on the Sabbath, ONLY FIT THEIR situation. After that destruction 2,000 years ago – RULES changed. It is NOT unlawful to travel on the Sabbath anymore. Today, people wouldn’t be “stoned for streaking”. But in the “last days” in which Jesus referred to – some of those things were punishable offences. Nor would “travel in winter” be hazardous today. Respectfully, Taleb |

126 | Please explain! | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78634
Mommapbs, I am saying, Matthew 24 HAS BEEN FULFILLED according to what Jesus proclaimed to His disciples. Today, too many believe what they read in fictional books and movies about the “end-times, RATHER than understand what Scripture and HIS-story told us how those same “end-times” occurred. MY position on the “end-times”, as described in the Revelation of Jesus Christ to John, is best explained this way. I began with the “You might not make it home from Church before the rapture.” Of course, as a new believer, I believed it because it was what I was taught, even if the teaching was gross error. Then I met someone who told me I had to go through the terrible tribulation. What confused me was he used the same verses to prove his point. This made me into a Berean-type. I studied to prove “my theory”. But the deeper I allowed my studies to go the more questions I had. Those many questions ONLY brought answers from Scripture which disproved “my theory”. For example: 1st Cor. 15:51 showed me a hole in my pre-trib theory. “…at the LAST trumpet, … we shall all be changed” brought the question, how many trumpets are there? Revelations counts out seven. What does Revelations say about the LAST one? Rev. 10:7 told me after the seventh (last) trumpet sounds, THEN the mystery of God, which He gave His prophets, would be FINISHED. What did God tell the prophets? That made me dig deeper into studing them. From my ongoing studies, I have discovered what the multitudes who have gone before me discovered. The sounding of the LAST trumpet DID exactly what God said it would do in Matt. Mark, Luke, etc. The Scripture is FULL of “clues” to help us understand the “mystery”. Finally I was able to honestly believe, not merely assent, that ALL Scripture CAN BE used for “refuting error”. For me to believe otherwise I would have to discount 2 Tim 3:16, because all the other theories HAVE TO “leave out” too much of the “ALL Scripture.” Blessings upon you, Taleb |

127 | Taleb, Do Mat 24:29 - Rev 6:12 differ? | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78539
Searcher, you need to ADD to your library. I'll for now just quote the handiest, "...as for the date of its writing, the most common OPINION is it was written in the reign of Domitian, about 95 A.D.; OTHERS, WITH SOME JUSTIFICATION, believe that parts of it were composed as early as Nero's time, shortly before 70 A.D. And a commentary says; “John received this Revelation under the reign of Vespasian.” This date also might place it before the final overthrow of the Jewish state; though Vespasian reigned to A.D. 79. The inscription to this book, in the Syrian version, first published by De Dieu, in 1627, and, afterwards in the London Polyglot, is the following: “The Revelation which God made to John the evangelist, in the island of Patmos, to which he was banished by Nero Caesar.” This places it before the year of our Lord 69, and consequently before the destruction of Jerusalem. Of this opinion are many eminent writers, and among them Hentenius, Harduin, Grotius, Lightfoot, Hammond, Sir Isaac Newton, Bishop Newton, Wetstein, and others. Seeing how, unless there are TWO separate ends of the "age" that Jesus warned His Disciples would HAPPEN in their time, then I stand with what the OTHERS, WITH SOME JUSTIFICATION, believe. Any other questions, I am willing, but you must be patient. I am not always "privileged to the time I spent here today." I apprectiate your "compliment" on my writing :) Yours too! If you need additional "sources" - that's what my library is for. Respectfully, Taleb |

128 | Taleb, Is the harvest done (Mat 13:39ff) | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78534
Searcher, To save me time, I will only quote from a few of "my sources". I’m glad I don’t use the one you did. I’d be confused with what the Lord has so often shown me FROM His word. :) My New Englishman’s Greek Concordance and Lexicon defined Strong’s 165 as: “(a) an INDEFINATELY long period, eternity (past or future), (b) a certain segment of time, era, age (present or future), (c) material universe as the manifestations of the ages. My Vines Expository Dictionary defined Strong’s 165 (aion) definition as: “an age, era (to be connected with “aei”, ever, signifies a period of indefinite duration , or time viewed in relation to what takes place in the period. The force attaching to the word is not so much that of the actual length of a period, but that of a period marked by spiritual or moral characteristics …” My Strong’s Greek Dictionary list number 165 as: properly as an “age”; by extension perpetuity (also past); by implication, the world; specially (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future): Age, course, eternal, (for) ever, …” This brings us to wonderful place. Like how often, and under which differant circumstances, God’s word proclaims “In the day of the Lord”. There are so many “day (singular, yet many) of the Lord" as there have "ages" for us. Got to run. Have to get to Church. Respectfully, Taleb |

129 | Taleb, Do Mat 24:29 - Rev 6:12 differ? | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78529
Searcher, most of Revelations and Matthew and Mark and Luke and many other books talk about the exact same fulfilled events. They all quote other previously fulfilled events from history and the Old Testament. Get your Bible out and let’s check out the Scriptures that paint the “completed” picture that Jesus and His apostle John painted prior to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. They depict the same ones which transpired as Jesus stated. You need to note that Revelation is ESPECIALLY filled with symbolic language, something the Jew have easily understood for centuries. Many even “talk symbolically” today about everyday details and events. John frequently quotes from Isaiah. For example, Isaiah 34:4 says, “And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.” Rev. 6:12-14 “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.” By the way, (you have to read the rest of the chapter AND some history) Isaiah’s prophecy WAS FULFILLED during the judgment of Bozrah and Idumea. And just like the verses in Isaiah 34 say WILL happen did – although the speech was symbolic, like so much of Scripture, IT HAPPENED. And don’t forget Haggi’s. In about 520 B.C., he predicted a “world” disaster. Hag 2:6-7, “For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.” And THIS WAS fulfilled when the temple was rebuilt. A new “AGE” was born to prepare the world for another NEW AGE – the age which prepared the way for the Lord’s birth etc. By reading Amos, Josephus and other material, you will follow how it took place. Just as the disciples understood Matthew – so must we. I like you, Searcher. You’re a person desiring to “cover all the bases.” Respectfully, Taleb |

130 | Taleb, Is the harvest done (Mat 13:39ff) | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78521
Searcher, Matthew 13 is ONE of my favorite sections of the Gospels. To understand what you are asking you must understand the rest of the verses too. In each of the verses you provided, Matthew 13:39-40, 49; 28:20, plus numerous other verses that not mentioned, say the same thing. Searcher, ALL THE “WORLDS” LISTED IN YOUR VERSES ARE “AIONS” - Strong’s 165. Too often, in Scripture, what was translated “world” is actually Strong’s 165 “aion”. This word means “age as in era”. It is for an INDEFINATE period of time. It has nothing to do with dirt par se. Cosmos, the Greek word from which we get “world”, is listed under Strong’s 2889. It is (as far as I could tell) always translated “World”. In one place "world" is used from two different Greek ones. 1 Cor 3:18-19: “Let no man deceive you,” (Interesting, Jesus also used that same phrase in Matt 24) “if anyone among you seem to be wise in this world (#165), let him be a fool. … for the wisdom of this world (#2889) is foolishness with God.” Through what “ages” have we come? And by “we” I mean mankind. There was the stone age; the middle ages (I wish I was still there); the dark age; the industrial age; the space age; the information age; and in Matthew's day the "AGE" to which everyone KNEW referred to their "present age". Well the end of each of those ages gave birth to a new age. Most overlapped only until the new “age” got going, UNTIL the “old” age came to its end. Therefore, I stand my stand about the end of the age – the Jewish age, the age of the Law and Prophets, THAT “WORLD” CAME TO AN END exactly when, how and where Jesus said it would. The harvest referred to in Matthew 13, etc. was completed. HIS-story details how well. But, every “AGE” has had a time of harvests. We are still in ours! Sometime I’ll go over 2nd Peter 3:10. It’s RICH with truth. Respectfully, Taleb |

131 | Taleb, When did Matthew 24:25 occur? | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78519
Searcher, thanks for making my day. Your legitimate questions WILL be answered. I look forward to review some of my “old” material gathered over the years. My personal library, its numerous book shelves crammed with overflowing (the excess are stacked by chairs, my desk, under the desk), will get a well deserved “going over”. Matthew 24:15 says a lot about our topic. Plus, the little phrase added by Matthew, “let the reader understand” needs to be heeded. The “reader” includes you and me, right? The one mentioned in Daniel 11:31 and 12:11, the disciples KNEW had been already fulfilled. And the reader needs to understand ALL that Jesus referred to concerning Daniel’s prophecies, if we are to understand WHICH one of the two separate abominations was referred to by Jesus. Daniel 9:26-27 explains. This speaks of the one AFTER Christ, seeing His followers understood the fulfillment of Dan 11-12 in which the first king from the south (Egypt) – according to history – Anticohus Epiphanes was the “second king” from the north (Syria). Just like Daniel said, the Northern king would “perform abominations”. He gave himself his surrname, and it means "the God made manafest". Did you notice the "anti" in his first name? When did did Daniel's happen? According to HIS-story it happened EXACTLY as Daniel predicted during the reign of Anticochus (174-168 B.C.). You can read all about it yourself in any one of many sources. 1st Maccabees for instance, is most likely the source the apostles had about that. Contrary to Scofield’s Bible (1917 edition) which only renders Dan 11:31 to Antiochus, Josephus indicates BOTH 11 and 12 to that wicked king. So WHEN was Jesus’ prophecies, about the abomination (Matt. Mark. Luke. Rev.), fulfilled? It WAS FULFILLED during the time the Roman army surrounded Jerusalem, took the city, entered the temple with THEIR objects of worship and offered THEIR sacrifices upon the altar. That is when. For the best details that Historians have provided, read the “WARS of the Jews, by Josephus. It’s pages follow the predictions to the letter. Famines, earthquakes, etc. Many Bible encyclopedias, Eusebius, Barnes Commentary (which tells us HOW the Roman army fulfills Luke 21:20), Jamison, Fausset and Brown Commentary gives the same data about Mark 13. And the lists go on and on. Respectfully yours, Taleb |

Searcher, thank you for your patience in regards to my slow reply. With my schedule, it is sometimes nigh unto impossible to do a worthwhile reply. I work at a huge, and I mean HUGE, church, so you can well imagine what my schedule is like. :) First off, the other post you wrote in response to what I said about wars and rumors of wars etc. Sorry, Searcher, but your history books are not accurate if they called those wars and rumors mere uprisings. If you need more "proof", let me know. Anyway, my point remains the same. I realize exactly where you are coming from, Searcher, because I have walked down your same path. Interesting that you picked the verses you did. When I was on the other side of this debate, years ago, I used those verses and many others. They ALL helped to explain to me what you have yet to see. Please forgive me for failing to preface this whole debate with some apparent necessary insight. Perhaps you, as so many others have (me included, at one time) wrongly concluded about WHAT Jesus was talking about in Matthew 24. Verse 3, in many Bibles reads something like this: They asked Jesus, “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Does yours read something like that? Check out what the “end of the world” means and it WILL change your conclusion to match mine. :) Allow me to spell it out for you. “End” is Strong’s 4130 - "entire completion, that is, consummation (of a dispensation)an age, era". “World’ is Strong’s 165 - "... specifically (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future):—age ..." That said, can you now see where I am coming from? Just like those other verses you sent – it spells out the same truths about what TOOK place in THEIR lifetimes. You have to realize who Jesus was talking to AND HOW He directed His answers. Plainly, Jesus was talking to His disciples. Jesus said to them, (Verse 6) “And YOU ... (all of His disciples, NOT you and me)... shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” THEY did hear of wars and rumors of wars. I appreciate your questions, Taleb |

133 | Please explain! | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78402
First of all Mommaphs, one must understand what Scripture mentions about the “sun, moon and stars”. Jesus’ disciples UNDERSTOOD what Jesus was stating because they understood HOW Scripture continually uses that kind of terminology. Canceling Psalms 148 was a tongue-in-cheek way of saying, contrary to some erroneous doctrines about the end of the world that states the physical destruction of the world, won’t happen. Genesis 37:5-11 is ONLY ONE OF MANY such “mentionings”. Immediately after (no pun intended) Joseph described his dream, Jacob CORRECTLY UNDERSTOOD what the terminology meant – he said, “Are all of us, then, myself, (sun) your mother (moon) and your brothers (stars) to come and bow to the ground before you?” Don't forget. The twelve sons (stars) represented ALL 12 tribes of Israel. Joseph was a "type of Christ". What Jesus told the disciples they accepted it, as all the others through out the Old Testament. The sun, moon and stars, Jesus rerferred to, represented the entirety of Judea and it’s way of life. It is also what Hebrews 12:26-27 mentioned, before the destruction of everything in 70 A.D. that the powers of heaven will be shaken. Why were the “heavens” to be shaken? To REMOVE those things, the things mentioned in the previous chapters of Hebrews, things that men created - e.g. temple, priests, sacrifices, etc. (not literal sun, stars, moon). Why? So those things that are Not Created with hands may remain. What things? Gospel, grace, etc. That's when IT happened, as Jesus said it would. I apologize this is sooooooooo short, when there is sooooooooooooo much that can, and needs to be stated. Respectfully, Taleb |

What a thrill to hear my words helped. Please accept my apologies for such a “late” response. I use more than one computer, depending on where I am during the day (or night), and, although from time to time I "spotted" a posting, to which I responded, yours was waiting at home for me. While I can’t think of any particular verse, although there are a few that you “might” be referring to, please allow me to address the rest of your note. Being “faithful” in attendance is wonderful. Remain faithful to them, AND “faithful” with your relationship with Him. As far “making every effort to follow …” bear in mind 1 John 3:18-24. (It’s sometimes hard to “pull and use” Scriptures, but I feel these might help.) “… let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we KNOW that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For IF our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. And He that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby WE KNOW that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.” Respectfully, Taleb |

"But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken." The tribulation is literal and so is the sky activity. Searcher, are you "cancelling" the evidence of Psalms 148, amongst too many other Scriptures? :) I doubt if that's what you mean, right? More on your good comments later. Respectfully, Taleb |

137 | Taleb, When did the Son of Man appear? | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78270
Searcher, first off, MANY historians have answered all of your questions. I don’t know how much history you know or have access to, but ... (actually, I like the way I once saw it spelled –HIS-story). Most of Scriptures was written prior to the events under discussion, so HIS-story is often used as another source. Although, let me be quick to add, Scripture DOES contain MANY “proofs”. What Scriptures “begin to say” HIS-story “fills in many blanks". Yes, Searcher, just as Jesus stated in Matt 24:5-6, there WERE false Christs. Listed in Acts 5:36 - Theudas, who mislead 400, another in Acts 21:38 who mislead about 30,000 – both “false Christs” of which Eusebius also made mention. Dositheus proclaimed himself to be the Messiah that Moses had prophesied. How many do you need? Let me know if you need more specifics, or examples. 1 John 2:18 talks about “the anti-christs” (plural), and don’t forget, John was amongst those whom Jesus warned against being deceived. “Little children, IT IS the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even NOW are there MANY antichrists; whereby WE KNOW IT IS THE LAST TIME.” Was John deceived, or did he KNOW the last days Jesus talked about WAS THEN, not 2,000 years later? You wrote, "No wars because the Romans ruled". Sorry, Searcher. But not only were their rumors of wars, there WERE NUMEROUS WARS, as HIS-story reveals. I love Josephus. While I don’t agree with much of his view, basically his facts are facts. Take the war in 40 A.D. 50,000 dead; nine years later, around the time of Passover, up to 20,000 dead. In Alexandria, 50,000 Jews killed. Scythopolis 13,000 plus killed. And these are not the only “wars” fought between the time Jesus said there would be wars, and when the “end” came. ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION in verse 15 is really self-explanatory. Scripture doesn’t say anything about ANY temple being rebuilt after its destruction. And, while Daniel’s talks about two separate abominations, the one Jesus speaks of happened exactly as He said. Every reference to any rebuilding of the temple was before it was fulfilled. There are NO MORE UNFULFILLED prophecies about any temple. PERIOD. According to Eusebius, Josephus and other historians, the abonination of desolation happened often prior to, and after, its final destruction. The Romans soldiers compassed the city, and took control, then they brought their ensigns (a staff with an eagle over the image of Caesar (who claimed to be God) into the temple and offer sacrifices and worship to the image. Verse 29. I just love Scripture, don’t you? When we take here a verse there a verse we either get a warped picture, or a complete picture. This verse gives a complete picture ONLY when taken in connecting with “what else Scripture has to say about the sun, moon and stars. Will you agree that Scripture is FULL OF SYMBOLIC terminology? Check out what Scripture says about the sun, moon, stars and you also will notice what so many others have discovered about this. Then verse 29 will also come alive to you too. Or, do you believe the moon turning to blood as stated in Joel and Acts 2? Verse 30 ties in with Matt 26:64 in which Jesus told Caiaphas, the High Priest, “I tell YOU that from THIS TIME onward, YOU will see the Son of Man SEATED on the right hand of power AND coming on the clouds of heaven.” That sounds like quite a feat, IF Jesus wasn't speaking figuratively. From now on meant it started right then, and Jesus hadn’t even gone to the cross yet. And for Jesus to both be seated and coming ….” Searcher, there is so much MEAT in what this verse states, but because “time” is my ever present enemy, I can’t detail it here and now. Great questions. I welcome more. :) Respectively, Taleb |

138 | Matt 24 Is it all in the future? | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78185
Terry, contrary to what many of my study Bibles say, Matthew 24 HAS happened, exactly as Jesus said it would. If you have access to Josephus check out his “description” of the destruction of Jerusalem. It is as though he eavesdropped on Jesus’ prophesy. I have studied and restudied this portion for a few decades. It is exciting to say the least. One thing that is important to notice – Jesus instructed his disciples “Watch out less anyone deceive you.” Notice also Matt 24:14 – “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world, as a testimony to all nations, and the end will come” Compare that to Col. 1:23 – “…be not moved away from the gospel, which you have heard, and which WAS preached to every creature which is under heaven ….” There are SOOOOOOOOO many more verses that back up what many know as truth. Actually, one can take one verse at time and follow through from history's records. Many have done that to gain the same reasoning as I am presenting here. For this time, respectfully, Taleb |

139 | Ever Doubt God's Existence? | Gen 3:1 | Taleb | 78175
Yes, I have. I honestly doubt if there is anybody who HASN’T either doubted God’s existence or if what He said is really true. The first Scripture that comes to mind is Gen 3. Yup, from the beginning people have “questioned God”, if you will. Satan is the father of lies and has been a liar from day one. His lies to Eve caused her to wonder if everything she KNEW was true really was true. Don’t forget she walked with God in the garden. Talk about not having any reason to doubt, but doubt she did. Growing up, my “bet” (not the right word, but…) is that you doubted a lot of things your teacher, parents, siblings told you – even though they really were true. So, while we can’t “see God” we do have seasons of doubt. Those are the times for us to take seriously what Paul wrote in 2 Cor. 10:4-5 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but MIGHTY THROUGH GOD to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exhalteth itself AGAINST the knowledge of God (YOUR SITUATION), and bringing into captivity EVERY thought to the obedience of Christ.” And don’t forget – God believes in you! Respectfully, Taleb |
