kujur, Excellent question and one that many have asked. You are both right and wrong. God bless you though for looking at Scripture "literally." Both Adam and Eve did die that day. They died spiritually and not physically. Hope this answers your question, keep up the pursuit.... InGodITrust |

122 | Greek Question in Romans | Rom 7:25 | InGodITrust | 189899
rzaac, I too am in Colorado, Fremont County to be exact. Welcome to the forum. I have not found a suitable web site to aid one with the Greek, although I have not looked that hard. Let me give you what help I can. Apa, Strongs 686 is an inferential particle. inference. 1. conclusion, a conclusion drawn from evidence or reasoning 2. logic reasoning process, the process of reasoning from a premise to a conclusion 3. implication, something that is implied Apa means, "Then or therefore, and indicating an interrogative." interrogative, adj. 1. questioning, questioning or seeming to question somebody or something 2. grammar used to ask a question, consisting of or used in asking a question "Ouv" Strong's 3767 is a conjuction. conjunction (plural conjunctions) 1. combining of several things, the joining together or combining of two or more things 2. simultaneous occurrence, a simultaneous occurrence of events or circumstances 3. grammar connecting word, a word that is used to link sentences, clauses, phrases, or words, for example, “and,” “but,” or “if." So, not sure exactly how to answer your question? To find another example where "apa ouv" is used would require that you deposit 50.00 "finders fee!" Just kidding, but it would entale a lot of time. The last question is that "Paul did not answer his question in verse 24. Verse 25 is the answer to his question,i.e. "Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?" The answer, verse 25: Thanks be to God (the answer) through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then,(apa ouv;I have concluded that this is indeed the answer)"On the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin." This is the contrast between our new man in Christ and the old man of the flesh. God has left us with this constant struggle between the flesh and the spirit. Why? I have asked myself this a thousand times. The answer; so that we too will share the reward and (partial) glory with Christ Jesus who Himself came to earth to deliver (eventually in our new body)us from the power of sin. Hope this helps, let us know. InGodITrust |

124 | Greek Question in Romans | Rom 7:25 | InGodITrust | 189940
Amen rzaac, Your answer is right on brother!! Exactly what I would have said had you not said it. While the Bible demands faith, our faith is a gift from God and not something we "muster up." The question so many Christians can't seem to understand is "everything, absolutely everything" is from God, through God and to God. While the Word seems to indicate we must do this, we must have that, we must be this, we all at times miss the whole point. "For it is God who is at work in you; both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Philippians 2:13 The Word as well as the Law points to our need and our lack of ability to do so. It is through prayer, humility, and yes faith, that we present ourselves each and every day to our Lord and beg Him to "give us the will, the desire, and yes the faith to live the life He has for us. "Without Me you can do nothing." Jesus said in John. Blessings my friend, God's Day to you, InGodITrust |

Ohop, Your in luck, or should I say "God's grace." It took me a few moments to find it but I thought all along it was the apostle Paul and it was. He loved his people the Jews so much that he wished himself accursed for their sake in that they were refusing to acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Messiah. Glad I could help, God Bless...... 130 | do you think tarot cards are a sin? | 1 Cor 10:23 | InGodITrust | 189161
leapordgirl13, Greetings in the name of the Messiah, The Bible gives us a lot of latitude, enough to hang ourself.(not literally) Would you play with fire and hope not to get burned? If a person is not born again, they could be exposing themselves to demonic influence and possibly possession. Tarot cards are Satanic in nature and contrary to what a Christian would want to expose themselves to. In God's grace, blessings to you, InGodITrust |

Try God 1st, Well I don't know about you, but I hope to leave earthly works here! All kidding aside "it's not what you do in life, it is why and how you do it." If what you and I do is not done in-love and for the right motive and the right reason "all is vain and striving after the wind." Study 1 Corinthins 13, all of it. Then go to Philippians 2, then Matthew 6:33 "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousnes.." Matthew 22:36-40 making sure you love your neighbor with all the same fervor and commitment that you claim to have for loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind. That oughta get ya started, right? InGodITrust |

134 | Help for Christian Wife of Alchoholic | 1 Cor 16:14 | InGodITrust | 189733
Dear eileen8, God richly bless you, I can only imagine what you are going through. My first response is "love knows no bounds, has no limits, for Christ's sake forgives and forgives. However, I do not know all you are going through. There may be a Christian web site but it has been my experience that so much advise is not Biblical. I know this sounds self serving but please see my personal profile. I have just published a book on Agape-Love which will answer many of your questions. Tough love must at all times be Biblically tough love. If it is unbearable and you feel God is absolutely telling you so then a conditional seperation could be the answer. Never lock the door nor turn out the light. If you must give him an ultimatum then make sure he understands "the decision is up to him." He can come back or you will return "it's up to him." Always leave the door open and the light on. Hope this helps. God grant you the wisdom and strength to see it through. Remember love, Biblical love, always hopes the best, seeks the best, and anxiously looks for a restoration, no matter what. InGodITrust |

135 | Are they......"was"....or...."is?" | 2 Cor 5:8 | InGodITrust | 188735
Friends on the Forum, I thought many of you would be enlighted by some recent thoughts I have had due to my recent loss. Please understand I only post this to help others understand what one goes through when loosing their mate. I think this copy of an e-mail to a friend on the forum is beneficial. I pray with all my heart that my loss will be used for the glory of God and helpful to others. So........here goes..... Glad you liked it. Tell me, sounds like you are a single mom with one child? I am 59 with two sons at home from my marriage with Teena. Which is easier, girls or boys? Are you kidding, I partially raised two girls, they were adorable.....wonderful.......amazing........Boys? They are.......boys!!!!.........both so much like their mother and yet full of it just like their dad!!! They both were...(are)... exceptionally close to their mom. My youngest Daren just calls her mom;(my oldest son Derek most ofton referred to her as Maa'dray) notice I talk in the present not the past tense. For the most part, as a Christian, our loved ones who have graduated, are still in the present tense. My wife may have "gone home" but she is still their mom and my wife. You can't imagine how repeatedly I have to talk about her or deal with legal and business issues over and over. They say, "what was her name;" I reply, "her name.....is......Teena." She is not a...was...she is a...is." Now, she "was" here on earth but for all practical purposes, especially since now with God and an eternal "person" she is "away at the moment" but all of her will continue to be "eternally in the present tense." Please don't misunderstand as I am not angry or frustrated but Christians now with Christ are eternally present and not past..............wow.........good thought right? Blessing, Rick InGodITrust |

Cheri, Well Ok, "you take the heat!"..... The Name Above Every Name Jesus is the Light of men He’ll forgive you of your sin. God’s Word says He’s the Chosen One, On the cross His work was done. He’s Master, Teacher, and our Brother, What He’s done could be so by no other. He’s the Savior from our sin, By all of those who ask Him in. He’s our Shepherd and our Guide, If in our heart he does abide. He’s the Dayspring and Cleanser of sin, Wonderful Counselor has always been. As our Vine and Bridegroom Thee, It remains a mystery what we shall be. As God’s Beloved and Chosen One, The Anointed and only Son. As our Rock and purist Lamb, By His blood we’ll not be damned. Lord of Heaven, Son of God, Satan defeated by His rod. He’s the Savior of the world, From our life is Satan hurled. The Emmanuel and Holy One, Salvation only by the Son. We the branch and He the Vine, To love each other “is the sign.” Messiah the Prince and King of the Jews, Be it life and God, or the world we choose? The Bread of Life and our Governor be, His love and mercy all eternity to see. Lord of lords and God of gods, Let’s bow our heads in humble nods. By Rick InGodITrust |

137 | Reading: John 3:21 | 2 Cor 6:14 | InGodITrust | 189284
Kalama, Very good question. One that every single Christian should consider foremost. My thoughts; Dating would be any event that you and another would set aside to do together. Christian dating, of course that implies that you would date "only a believer." Dating is simply a modern term. Courtship is probibly a more traditional term. Dating in the world's eyes is "out to have a good time" no matter with who or what for. If a Christian is "to date" I suggest it should be in every way, "as if Christ Himself were your chaperone." Glad to be of assistance, InGodITrust |

138 | saved and sanctified | Ephesians | InGodITrust | 189272
Azure, Good morning young lady, Very good question and one that is confusing as well as "there is too much being mingled in with the Biblical concept." Sanctification is our given position in Christ. He, not us, is the one who sanctifies us because of Him being our Lord and Savior. Take a look at this post from Wikipedia; Sanctification From Wikipedia, Part of a series of articles on Christianity Christian theology: Sanctification or in its verb form, sanctify, literally means to set apart for special use or purpose, that is to make holy or sacred (from the Latin verb sanctificare, which in turn derives from sanctus, "holy" and facere, "to make".). The Greek word is hagiasmos (Üãéáóìïò), meaning "holiness, consecration, or sanctification." [1] It comes from the root hagios (Üãéïò), which means holy or sacred. Sanctification then refers to the state or process of being set apart or made holy. What is often missed, or overlooked, is the relational aspect that is associated with the word sancification. Only God is truly holy. Everything else, whether it is things or people, is holy only because of its relationship to God God bless, InGodITrust |

Azure, I missed this as it did not copy, So...........here's a little more, The concept of sanctification is widespread among religions, but is perhaps more common among the various branches of the Christian religion, especially those of the Protestant-Reformed and Wesleyan-Arminian traditions. The term can be used to refer to objects which are set apart for special purposes (i.e., the Temple vessels), but the most common use within Christian theology is in reference to the change brought about by God in a believer, begun at the point of salvation or justification and continuing throughout the life of the believer. Many forms of Christianity believe that this process will only be completed in Heaven, but some believe that complete holiness is possible in this life on earth--particularly in the final days before the ultimate return of Jesus. Some Protestants denominations call the completion of sanctification "glorification". In some branches of Christianity, inanimate objects as well as people are referred to as "sanctified" or "holy". A notable instance is the process of transubstantiation, which in Roman Catholic doctrine means that the bread and wine of Communion are physically transformed into the flesh and blood (respectively) of Jesus. This act constitutes a kind of sanctification of the bread and wine. Blessings to you, InGodITrust |

Goodmorning John, Thank you for the info. Yes I am well aware that one must be very cautious when using any source. However, in my case, I use Wikipedia simply to refresh my memory. It is so bad I have to keep a photo ID in my wallet to remind me who I am and where I live! May the Lord of Glory be with you today, InGodITrust |
