124 | G12 doctrine | Bible general Archive 3 | srbaegon | 189841
Hello abeck, I did a Google search on "G12 doctrine" and found a great deal of material. Here is one site to check out of many available. http://www.letusreason.org/Latrain24.htm Basically, when held up to Scripture, the G12 falls short. Steve |

125 | Holies of Holies or Money Maker | Bible general Archive 3 | srbaegon | 189843
Hello DC_160, The Bible neither condemns nor condones renting out any part of a church building for paying debts. The building is not God's house, the people are. The structure is simply a climate-controlled place to gather for worship, teaching, etc. Steve |

127 | what to say to someone who doesnt believ | Bible general Archive 3 | srbaegon | 193899
Hello Lynda, There are several ways of addressing this--some more complicated than others. Here are some: 1. For instance, there is a story told that Napoleon Bonaparte came upon some of his soldiers one evening on a battlefield who were discussing the existence of God. They asked the general if he believed in God. Napoleon pointed to the stars and said, "If there is no God, who made all that?" I don't know if the story is true, but Scripture plainly says that people can know about God (not everything) from nature (Psalm 19; Romans 1). 2. The fact that your friend has moral outrage about evil in the world is proof of God. If there was no God, there would be no standard of morality to be outraged about. 3. We expect evil in the world because all have sinned (Romans 3:10-18). Why would we expect any differently? Steve |

130 | NIV bible | Bible general Archive 2 | srbaegon | 92838
Hello Jackson I would say that any Bible you will use is the best one to get. With that said, I would not recommend an NIV. The translators took liberties that I don't like. It certainly is readable though. I much prefer a more literal reading. I have used NKJV, NASB, and now have ESV. Steve |

132 | How can I find the word Cristology | Bible general Archive 2 | srbaegon | 98406
Hello jesucristo, The word Christology is not in the Bible. It's a division of systematic theology which looks at the person and work of Christ. I would recommend a website like www.bible.org for further information. Check out their Bible Studies area. Steve |

133 | Contradictions in the Bible? | Bible general Archive 2 | srbaegon | 102887
Hello Crossland, Two invalid premises are being used: 1. Evolution is a fact rather than creation. 2. Species (i.e. breed varieties) are being spoken of instead of animal groups (i.e. cat, dog, cow, etc.) Reversing the thinking on these will clear up a great deal. For the rest of the questions, you should break these up so to be easier to answer. Steve |

134 | Is this a Christian Forum? | Bible general Archive 2 | srbaegon | 105298
Hello JCrichton, This certainly was designed to be a Christian forum. As you have observed, though, there are ideologies pursued which damage its use. This happens for a variety of reasons--pride being foremost. Those of us who are considered core members try to keep the peace so that things run smoothly. Stick around awhile. There are good things here. Steve |

137 | What are the different types of worship? | Bible general Archive 2 | srbaegon | 111072
Hello Vala, Can you be more specific? The only answer I could offer would be that there are two--the true and the false. Perhaps some additional input could help us answer the question to your satisfaction. Steve |

139 | Why do yo say JW's are a cult? | Bible general Archive 2 | srbaegon | 117308
Hello Aniset, First and foremost, JWs deny that the Lord Jesus Christ was, is, and always will be the one true God. Compare John 12:37-41 with Isaiah 6:1-10. That's enough reason for me. Steve |

140 | praise and whorship | Bible general Archive 2 | srbaegon | 118884
Hello lonnie, Here's the best answer I have read. Praise is the occupation of the soul with its blessings. Worship is the occupation of the soul with God. (Worship: the Christian's Highest Occupation by A. P. Gibbs, Walterick Publishers, p. 26) Steve |
