102 | Is Title Reverend okay for the Pastor? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 13086
Thank you But in our group we call brother even our leader because we respect this verse and as we read this verse we understand that reverend is only for GOD's name: Psalms 111:9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. Maybe we can ask Nolan about this Maybe you can study this verse and tell me what do you think. I would like to thank's God for this kind of opportunity that we can learn from each other. 103 | Where did Jesus get His blood from | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 13094
I will try to help answer your question, you can inform me if it is valid for you. First you must believed Jesus Christ (Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh)and there is no ORIGINAL SIN: 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Hebrews 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. Second You must believed that Jesus Christ is NoT one of CREATION but all things created by him and for Him: Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: He which were born not of Blood, how He could be a sinner like us? John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. HE CANNOT SIN, BECUASE HE IS BORN OF GOD 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. There still too many verses will explain your question but I hope I answered some of them? Please let me know if it is valid for you. In Christ, Johnny |

104 | Who? What? When? Where? How? Why? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 13096
How could God do what those verses say he did? I know he did becuase He is a God that who cannot lie.: Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; If you see it was written goes WHICH GOD, THAT CANNOT LIE, and not THAT DOES NOT LIE, becuase it is impossible to God to commit lie. If it goes THAT DOES NOT LIE, He could not be lie that particular instances but maybe He can sometimes. I will try to answer some of your question later. In Christ, Johnny |

105 | Psalm 111:9 | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 13267
Michelle, I dont know what is your point here Well I started this topic in this verse Matthew 23:8-10 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. My question is why Catolic keep calling thier priest father which is against the teaching of Jesus Christ? Regarding Psalm 111:9 Psalms 111:9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. We call our even our leaders brothers and sisters which is right because we are all brothers and sisters. We also not also call reverend to our preacher. Now if we comparing translations, I'm using KJV which one of the oldest translation of the Bible this translation is translate word by word from the original scripture according to what is written and not according to the understanding of the translator of the Bible. Psalm 111:9 He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever-- holy and awesome is his name. (awesome) If we going to apply this to our preacher it will look this way: Maybe Most awesome Pastor or Maybe Most Breathtaking Pastor? or may the the most Astounding Pastor? Joke only! In Christ, Johnny |

106 | Psalm 111:9 | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 13888
1) Calling Priests Father: I understand where you are coming from, but I just don't see this as a major issue. Many of these titles were meant to show respect and have different connotations now then when they were originated. I personally would avoid the use of "Father" for clergy, but I have no problem with my son or daughters calling me father. Tim Moran Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. I have no problem also when I called my Dad father. Beacuse I know that when Jesus mentioned this it is not biological. Johnny |

107 | Will Balaam go to Heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 17046
Some introduction to balaam Balaam lord of the people; foreigner or glutton, as interpreted by others, the son of Beor, was a man of some rank among the Midianites (Nu 31:8; comp. Nu 31:16). He resided at Pethor (De 23:4), in Mesopotamia (Nu 23:7). It is evident that though dwelling among idolaters he had some knowledge of the true God; and was held in such reputation that it was supposed that he whom he blessed was blessed, and he whom he cursed was cursed. When the Israelites were encamped on the plains of Moab, on the east of Jordan, by Jericho, Balak sent for Balaam "from Aram, out of the mountains of the east," to curse them; but by the remarkable interposition of God he was utterly unable to fulfil Balak's wish, however desirous he was to do so. The apostle Peter refers (2Pe 2:15-16) to this as an historical event. In Micah 6:5 reference also is made to the relations between Balaam and Balak. Though Balaam could not curse Israel, yet he suggested a mode by which the divine displeasure might be caused to descend upon them (Nu 25:1-18). In a battle between Israel and the Midianites (q.v.) Balaam was slain while fighting on the side of Balak (Nu 31:8). The "doctrine of Balaam" is spoken of in Re 2:14, in allusion to the fact that it was through the teaching of Balaam that Balak learned the way by which the Israelites might be led into sin. (See Nicolaitanes.) Balaam was constrained to utter prophecies regarding the future of Israel of wonderful magnificence and beauty of expression (Nu 24:5-9,17). After what he has done here in earth, what can I say only God can justify will balaam will go to heaven or not. No man can say to anyone if he is going to heaven or not only God. Johnny |

108 | Who was Mary Magdeline? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 17047
Introduction to Mary Magdalene Magdalene a surname derived from Magdala, the place of her nativity, given to one of the Marys of the Gospels to distinguish her from the other Marys (Mt 27:56,61; 28:1, etc.). A mistaken notion has prevailed that this Mary was a woman of bad character, that she was the woman who is emphatically called "a sinner" (Lu 7:36-50). Some other verses mentioning her. Mt. 28:1 Mr. 15:40 Mr. 15:47 Mr. 16:1 Mr.16:9 Luke 8:2 John 19:25 John 20:1 John 20:18 Johnny |

109 | Who was Mary Magdeline? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 17048
I hope you read my first answer already some additional about mary magdalene I metioned in my first answer that her surname came from magdala, the place of her nativity Debbie was right she is not sent to live in the dessert she lives in MAGDALA Magdala a tower, a town in Galilee, mentioned only in Mt 15:39. In the parallel passage in Mr 8:10 this place is called Dalmanutha. It was the birthplace of Mary called the Magdalen, or Mary Magdalene. It was on the west shore of the Lake of Tiberias, and is now probably the small obscure village called el-Mejdel, about 3 miles north-west of Tiberias. In the Talmud this city is called "the city of colour," and a particular district of it was called "the tower of dyers." The indigo plant was much cultivated here. Thanks Johnny |

110 | are there innocent victims in the bible | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 21943
In the time that Satan challenge the faith of Job and God allows satan to do everything to Job except taking his life, I think the children of Job were innocent but they die. Maybe they are innocent victims becuase the challenge was involved Job. Job 1:18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: 18. Job 1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. So sometimes God's allows innocent victims die. Sometimes we know the reasons, some we dont. Thanks, Johnny |

111 | DOES GOD HEAR PRAYRS OF UNBELIEVING JEW | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 22286
EdB, Just some clarifications in your statement: This was your statement: "Without Jesus we can not approach the throne of God. Does God hear the prayers of faithful Jews? I can’t answer that. But this I can, without Jesus they can not find salvation." EdB This is not to criticized your statement, just asking your views about the contradiction it would made in the passages below: Isa 43:10 Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. If we read it carefully, that although we all would agree that Jesus Exist before anything else (Pr 8:22 ¶ The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. Pr 8:23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.) That time the existence of Jesus Christ are not yet proclaim or announce and whatsoever could it be called. But there are savior already. So how we can really sure that they cannot find salvation. Just a clarifications God has covenat with Abraham, and it was an everlasting covenat": Ge 17:2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. 2. Ge 17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, Ge 17:4 ¶ As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Ge 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. Ge 17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. Ge 17:7 ¶ And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 7. Ge 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. Ge 17:9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. With that covenant how can we easily say that they cannot find salvation. God also mentioned that He never change: Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. If God never change, how about the covenant of God to Abraham that this Nations is God Nations. How come the God nations cannot find salvation? Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;1 He is a God who cannot lie, so if the Nations of God cannot find salvation, then it is God who lie to Abraham. 112 | Healing Holy Spirit | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 22970
When Jesus had called His desciples he gave power of healing to them (including Judas) But I dont think it can be share for all. Some people has this gift some maybe have not. Mt 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Let us look thsese passages: 1Co 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 1Co 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: Some of them given the gift of wisdom, some the gift of healing. But we have to always think that the really concern of Jesus Christ is to teach all nations, and teach them all He commanded: Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Mt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Jesus required all of us to teach, not just contented in listening but to teach. If some of us has gifted of healing is is good, but that's not the main point, but to teach His Kingdom. God bless, Johnny |

113 | no gospel equal go to hell? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 23430
There not exactly go to hell, but God has an specific judgement for them. Here is the teaching of Apostle Paul: To those which have not law, meaning for those that have not opportunity to hear the gospel. Ro 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Ro 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) Even you dont have the opportunity to hear the gospel but then you still have conscience that given to us by God. With that conscience you still have the capability of Doing good or bad. Maybe God will judge them based on thier conscience because they dont have the opportunity to hear the Gospel or teaching of Jesus Christ. I hope it helps. God bless, Johnny |

114 | Are we to follow the old testament? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 23729
Martha, I don’t think there are really teaching of Jesus Christ that encourage people to forget Old Testament. If you heard that kind of teaching I am sure that is based on thier own conclusions and not from the scriptures. Although it was mentioned: Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Let me put here some example: Mt 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Mt 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Mt 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. Mt 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. In that paticular instances, peter suggested to the lord that he is going to made three tabernacles. At verse 17:5 it was mentioned"While he yet spake" (Peter)behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." What is this mean, HEAR YE HIM. Why the God the Father not telling to Peter "Hear Them" but instead hear Him. Meaning any teaching of Moses that not included in the Teaching of Jesus Christ it is not important to us and the Teaching of Jesus Christ are we are going to follow. What is the teaching of Moses that included in the teaching of Christ: Le 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. De 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might There no mistake with this teaching it is included in the two great commandments that given to us by Jesus Christ. WHAT IS THE TEACHING OF MOSES THAT NOT INCLUDED TO THE TEACHING OF JESUS CHRIST? there are too many but i will put some of that here: Ex 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. But Jesus Christ change the implementation regarding Sabbath, He and his deciples do things in Sabbath. Lu 6:1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. Lu 6:6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. Lu 6:7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. Lu 6:9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? Another example: Adultery is punishable by death in the law of Moses, but Jesus Christ change the implementation of it. Joh 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Joh 8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. If Jesus Christ allowed those people to stone that woman to death it is the same thing that He allows those people to disobey the law “Thou shall not kill” which is included in the ten Commandments. I think we are not really reject all of teaching of the Old Testament but Jesus Christ just change some implementation of such teaching. I hope it would helps, God bless, Johnny |

Mary is a Mother of Christ, when Jesus is in His human form: Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Jesus is Before anything was created: Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And I am not agree that my God is insecure created His own mother. Mary was the part of the devine plan of God to bring Jesus to us as a savior in His human form, otherwise how can people crucified Him. God bless, Johnny |

I am agree with mike, if once save is always save, can you tell me that Judas is save? Judas has given even power to heal as one of the desciples: Mt 10:1 ¶ And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Mt 10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Mt 10:3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; Mt 10:4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Mt 10:5 ¶ These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But Judas fall to hand of satan. Apostle paul also told us to work out our own salvation: Php 2:12 ¶ Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Meaning we have to be wathcfull beacuse satan is like a roaring lion: 1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour Peter talking to his brethren, He warn them to be vigilant so meaning there chance to fall. Here in our country too many congregation that has that kind of believed. But sometimes they ex-cummunicate some of thier members for some terrible reasons. If save is always save, how could you ex-communicate a save person? God bless, Johnny |
