61 | Heaven and the Old Testament | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 117226
You may consider this Elijah was taken into heaven by a whirl wind, if we believed that Elijah was taken into heaven (Kingdom of God) it will contradict the assessment of John that no one ascended to heaven but that came from heaven which is Jesus Christ. Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. The explaination of "heaven" in 2 kings 2:11-12 is the fowls heaven. (a) The firmament, as "fowls of the heaven" (Ge 2:19; 7:3,23; Ps 8:8, etc.), "the eagles of heaven" (La 4:19), etc. (b) The starry heavens (De 17:3; Jer 8:2; Mt 24:29). (c) "The heaven of heavens," or "the third heaven" (De 10:14; 1Ki 8:27; Ps 115:16; 148:4; 2Co 12:2). Because of the limitation of the vision of the eye, writers indicate that Elijah was taken into heaven. About enoch, Paul assess all of them are died in faith. Enoch was translated but died in faith. Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. If believed that not died, again, it will contradict the assessment of Paul that it is appointed to man to die once after this the judgement. Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: About luke 23:24 if we just plainly believed literally about the statement of Christ, it is not true, are they really in paradise on that day? NO Christ was descended to grave in three days, after three days rose again and o many things before go to heaven. God bless, |

The person committing suicide is not a save person. If you are save it is not yourself live in you but Christ. Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. If Christ lives in you, how come He will let you committing suicide. 1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. The body of a save person is a temple of Holy Ghost, I dont think you are glorifying God in your body while committing suicide! God bless, |

Maybe I can refresh my question a little bit. if they committed suicide and succeed and die? I was thinking of statement of paul saying that Christ lives in Him and his. Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. If Christ lives in a save person how can a person done such things? Committing suicide means no hope, a save person full of hope knowing that he/she is a son of God John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: If someone committed suicide and dead, meaning he lost his battle, as the Bible said blessed is the man endureth tempatation. Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. God bless, |

65 | scriptures about prayer | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 117474
Example of power of prayers are Jos 10:12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 12. Easton Torrey Jos 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. Jos 10:14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel. Josua prayed for sun and moon to stay! (althought we in science that sun stay and it is the earth going around) God granted his prayer. Christ emphazise the power of prayer if you have faith! Mt 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. He also said with faith, Christ will do anything that ask from Him: Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. Kind of prayer that pleasing to God. Mt 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Christ said that avoid repetitions, because knew the things that we want before we asking for it. Mt 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Mt 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. God bless, |

67 | Bible version can become an idol? | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 117505
Translation becomes an idol if the translators translate the original manuscipts just to suit thier own doctrine. For example the Jehovas witnessess, one of the changes that they add and remove to the Bible was the word "JEHOVAH" almost all of the word "LORD" "GOD" was change into the word "Jehovah". This is clearly an add remove which was prohibited by the Bible. Re 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: The Bible itself is a complete in terms of doctrine and commandments on how to gain eternal life. Isa 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. IF no one of the word of the Bible shall fail, how could it be become an idol? 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: All scriptures is given by inspiration of God it will not become an idol because it is the word of God. God bless, |

68 | Bible version can become an idol? | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 118110
"YHWH" I believed occurs but not the Jehovah or Yaweh. YHWH is the original tetra which is no one alive today how moses pronunce it. So leave it that way. If some translation make YHWH "Lord" or God there is no wrong with that YHWH is God anyway. What is wrong is when you put the name that only created after 1600 "Jehovah" only known after 1600 does it means that before that time God has no names yet. As I said moses wrote it YHWH soi keep it that way, we dont hear how they pronounce it. If we want to know the name of God the Father we can find it in the scriptures: Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. Christ confirmed that in the New Testament by calling His Father our Father and calling His Father "Jehovah". God bless, |

74 | do i have to worship loudly? | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 124923
Worshiping is not just how loud or noise it is, the important is do you really praise Him in your heart? Mt 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: Mt 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. Mt 6:5 ¶ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Mt 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. To: Tim Moran, Makarios, Hank, Ray, Emmaus. I hope you were around. How a Loving and just God commanded such things? 1Sa 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. We can maybe assume that amalek was very evil person, how about the infants? Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Why the must kill the infants? they unskilfull about righteousness. Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. God bless, |

77 | Why we have to suffer for the sin of Ada | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 126197
Why we have to suffer for the sin of Adam and eve? Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. "The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son" Why we have to suffer for the sin of our two parents. We man eventually died because of adam sin, we got sickness because of thier disobedience. If the "son will not bear the iniquity of the Father" why have to died also because of thier disobedience. God bless, |

Thanks for the response, sorry for not getting back soon. You said it is God's way of cleansing the earth of sinful people, but how about the infant? do you think it is righteaous to murder an infant because she/he a son of wicked? What is the purpose of Zze 18:20 that the son will not bear the iniquity of his parents? What is the purpose of thou shall not kill if eventually you will command such murdered the infants? God bless, p.s. I will post again my original question, to get others answers |

80 | How our Loving God commanded such things | Bible general Archive 2 | jlpangilinan | 127368
Job received good from God after the test, I dont think it related of killing an infant? It is part of a test, that satan allowed to massacre the family of Job. Samuel 15:3 is different, it is God commanded to murdered an infant. What is the purpose of thou shall not kill if eventually you will commanded to murder an infant? God bless, |
