102 | Simon of Cyrene | Matt 27:32 | prayon | 5010
We are told that Simon of Cyrene was compelled to carry the cross for Jesus on the way to Golgatha. I believe that this must of made a strong impact on him because Romans 16:13 states that Paul mentions his sons, Rufus and Alexander, with warm affection. My question is what else do we know about him? Why was he in Jerusalem at that time? Was this his first exposure to Christ or had he heard his message before? Had he been in the crowd yelling "Crucify him"?

107 | Jesus couldn't of gone up to heaven. | Luke 23:43 | prayon | 64041
Jesus tells the thief "Today you will be with me in paradise". Some say that this means that Jesus went to heaven before He went to hell to "get the keys". In light of Matt 12:39b-40 "no sign will be give to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be 3 days and nights in the heart of the earth". These verses show that Jesus spent the 3 days and nights before His resurrection in the heart of the earth. He couldn't of gone to heaven to be with the thief there - the thief had to of gone with Him to the heart of the earth which means that paradise is in Hades. Comments?

120 | Aren't all believers stewards? | 1 Cor 4:1 | prayon | 2034
Dear wdc, Thank you for expanding on the mystery of the gospel. Do you believe I am wrong to believe that all believers are stewards over His gospel? Every believer has the job to share the gospel with those who need to hear it, not just those who preach. Wouldn't they too be considered stewards?
