Bible Question (short): Simon of Cyrene |
Question (full): We are told that Simon of Cyrene was compelled to carry the cross for Jesus on the way to Golgatha. I believe that this must of made a strong impact on him because Romans 16:13 states that Paul mentions his sons, Rufus and Alexander, with warm affection. My question is what else do we know about him? Why was he in Jerusalem at that time? Was this his first exposure to Christ or had he heard his message before? Had he been in the crowd yelling "Crucify him"? |
