1 | True fact of future sin | Heb 6:4 | CDBJ | 243810
It is the quintessence of human arrogance and blasphemy, for one who claims to be a believer, saved by grace, to infer that they are able to commit a sin that God didn’t realize that they would commit when they were originally saved. One who would admit to such a condition is surly teetering on the brink of the sin unto death to say the least; if they are unable to assimilate the truth of Bible doctrine in this life, God can definitely orientate them to His surpassing grace in the life to come. Romans 8:38-39 (NASB) Ro 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Greetings, Luke 22:36 (NASB) 36 And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. Today this would be construed as the best weapon for self defense, and that would be a handgun, concealed, and with the full knowledge of how to use it proficiently along with the proper CCW license and common knowledge of observation, i.e. cover your sixes. We are living in strange times to say the least; if these aren’t the last days they aren’t too far in the future. He who has an ear let him hear! Have a great day, CDBJ P.S. Check the history of what was known as the Moravian Indians in Ohio. They didn’t even try to defend them selves, being Christians, and as a result it put the message of salvation, i.e. The Gospel back numerous years before any Native Americans would have anything to do with it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnadenhutten_massacre |

3 | Judgement of believers | Matt 7:21 | CDBJ | 242222
Greetings, Instead of beating around the bush I’ll just try and explain what I think I have found as a postulate from several different verses of Scripture. Hebrews 9:27 (NASB) 27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, There are in fact seven different types of deaths mentioned in the Bible, physical death, spiritual death, operational death, positional death etc. but the one mentioned in Heb 9:27 is a reference to physical death. During the period known as the Millennium there will be children born, and as with today, they will have old sin natures and the need to be born again in order to have eternal life. Many will trust in the finished grace work of Christ that was accomplished on the cross. Still others will reject God’s gracious gift of salvation that is in Christ and will rebel against perfect environment when Satan is granted access back into the world. Rev. 20:2,3 and Rev. 20:7-9 There is no judgment mentioned in Scripture between the judgment seat of Christ, or the BEMA seat, and the white throne judgment. As a result we find the mention of books and a book in Rev.20, and the fact that it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment. These statements combined would have to place born again believers at the white throne judgment where the names of those believers will be found in the, “singular”, book of life. i.e. They haven’t been blotted out of the book of life. The books of works designates that the dead, i.e. the lost souls are depending on things that they have done to impress God. They tried to gain His approbation or approval for eternal life by what they did instead of depending on the salvation that God provided as a free gift from a gracious loving God. Any one that doesn’t have the righteousness that is of God will never have eternal life with God. God the father has made the total provision for eternal life resident within the person of His Son. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (AMP) 21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]. Those that think they have to die before they know for sure if they have eternal life aren’t trusting God and what He says in His Word, the Bible. John 3:18 (NKJV) 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36 (NKJV) 36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." 1 John 5:10-13 (AMP) 10 He who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] has the testimony [possesses this divine attestation] within himself. He who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him out to be and represented Him as a liar, because he has not believed (put his faith in, adhered to, and relied on) the evidence (the testimony) that God has borne regarding His Son. 11 And this is that testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life. 13 I write this to you who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) the name of the Son of God [in the peculiar services and blessings conferred by Him on men], so that you may know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have life, yes, eternal life. Have a great day, CDBJ |

4 | Judgement of believers | Matt 7:21 | CDBJ | 242213
For sake of clarification let me put it another way. Will there be any born again believers judged at the great white throne judgment as enumerated in the following? Revelation 20:11-15 (NASB) 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Considering these verses as well as other verses that may be found in Scripture pertaining to judgment. CDBJ. |

5 | Judgement of believers | Matt 7:21 | CDBJ | 242210
Greetings, The question was, will there be any believers at the white throne judgment not unbelievers, which is what you have alluded to. The verses that you emphasized are defiantly unbelievers even if they think they aren’t; this is pointed out by the response that Jesus made. Matthew 7:23 (KJV) 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. The key to previous verse is in the Lord’s response “I never knew you” with emphasis on the word never. You made the statement and I quote, “This is something not many teach on. But just believing in Jesus Christ is not salvation. He has to be Lord and Master of our lives, in very aspect. Many believe few serve in that belief.” Salvation isn’t a cumulative thing that takes place over an extended period of time, it’s instantaneous. The glitch in the, so called, believing of many resides in their understanding of the Greek word translated, “believe”. The English word believe comes from the Koine Greek root word PISTIS. The words believe, in the English, suggest merely giving mental assent to something which will give those that are doing it a very long hot stay for an eternity in the lake of fire! The word PISTIS and or PISTEUO in the Greek conveys the following which is amplified in the Amplified Bible. John 3:16 (AMP) 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. The very instant that anyone places their undivided trust in the person of Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for them are saved from that moment on for all of eternity. It’s a by GRACE through Faith operation plus nothing. God’s plan of salvation through faith His Son is a perfect plain and anything that man does to try and earn it nullifies God’s perfect plan. The example from Scripture, that you suggested, doesn’t show that there will be believers at the great white throne judgment. The actual answer to the question is deduced from several verses, it’s just putting them in order that answers the question. Have a great day, CDBJ |

I have found that it’s best to turn many situations over to the throne of grace and let the Lord iron out the problems. If there has been any wrong doing He is more then able to fix the situation and there is a time coming when we must all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Then there is are several promise we can claim. Isaiah 26:3 (NASB) "The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. Job 5:21 (NASB) (A) "You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, Proverbs 6:16 (NASB) There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Number seven is: Proverbs 6:19 (NASB) 19 A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers . Greetings, I know I am a little late with this post but I finally found time to redeem the same and I would like to say that I enjoyed your post! Backing up a little we see the same thing emphasized by Jesus in John’s gospel and to admit less would not be in keeping with sound doctrine. John 16:7-12 (NASB) 7 "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. 8 "And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; Notice what the single sin is that will condemn humanity and it is being communicated by the Holy Spirit Himself; this is the only sin that Jesus didn't and couldn't pay the price for on the cross! 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; 11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. 12 "I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. The sad part is there are humans that don’t care to bear what He, the Spirit, is telling them and their heart gets harder and harder! What the righteousness of God demands the justice of God must execute. CDBJ |

9 | Who's the "her" ? | Rev 18:4 | CDBJ | 239679
The millions of phony religions of the world i.e. the devil’s deceptive plan of salvation by works. Christianity is a grace operation and not a religion but a relationship with God the father through the Son Jesus the anointed one. John 14:6 (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 3:18 (NKJV) 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36 (NKJV) 36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." 1 John 5:10-13 (NKJV) 10 He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. 11 | how do you know if you are saved? | John | CDBJ | 238143
Greetings, Just as being on the jet plane is a function, being in Christ is the same type of function and it’s accomplished by the Holy Spirit AFTER one trusts in the work that Jesus accomplished on the cross. Abraham believer God; Galatians 3:6 (NKJV) 6 just as Abraham "believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." Abraham’s works only demonstrated the trust that he already had in God when he was about to sacrifice his son Isaac. It wasn’t a means of obtaining righteousness and he proved this when he said that God will provide the sacrifice before the two even went up the mountain. The way of our salvation taught to us by the Holy Spirit was the same salvation shown to Abraham; God will provide His Son to take our just due, i.e. God’s anointed one, the Christ. Galatians 3:8 (NKJV) 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." We, in essence were place on that plane the same way we are placed in Christ for positional truth and then the transformation takes place not visa versa! I’ve used this illustration before but here it is again for those that haven’t heard it. Faith is a lot like poison ivy, when one gets poison ivy they can’t keep from scratching, I’m speaking from experience! If another person sees this and they start scratching they could scratch until they are blue in the face and they still don’t get poison ivy because they haven’t come into personal contact with the ivy vine. Jesus said I am the vine. Illustrations just like parables can only go so far and then they brake down and there are those that can find fault with everything: I’m glad that my Saviour is faultless! The religious crowed in Jesus time went out of their way trying to find fault with Christ and Jesus Said: Matthew 15:14 (NKJV) 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch." CDBJ |

12 | how do you know if you are saved? | John | CDBJ | 238137
What it sound like to me is that you are emphasizing a works based salvation which is in complete opposition to the GRACE plan of God. All one needs to do to obtain salvation is found in numerous passages of God’s Word; case and point, Acts 16:31 (NASB) 31 They said, " Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." That isn’t asking Jesus to come into your heart either, He doesn’t go into sewers, which is what mans heart is like in God’s sight. God the Father isn’t impressed with what we do, He is only impressed with what His Son Jesus Christ did for us on the cross!! Many get discipleship mixed up with salvation; notice that Paul is talking to (believer brethren) when he makes the following statement. Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV) 1 I beseech you therefore, “BRETHERN”, (they are already saved) by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The renewing of ones mind or transformation only takes place when one is in fellowship with the Holy Spirit through the exercise of 1 John 1:9 (NKJV) 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Couple this with the constant inculcation of Bible doctrine and God will do the transforming. Anything that a person tries to do to merit God’s precious grace only nullifies faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. The word faith is a transitive verb and it demands an object, it’s the object that gets all of the credit in faith not the one having the faith. Faith is no greater then it’s object, which in salvation is Jesus Christ. Salvation is the result of faith as a gift, that can’t be worked for. When anyone tries to do something to help God with their salvation its like saying that what Jesus did wasn’t enough, I must help. Let me explain it this way: Let’s say you are given a gift and the gift is a life in paradise. The ticket has been totally paid for, with a ride on a jet plane. Now, instead of sitting quietly in your first class seat, and praising and thanking the Giver for the gift, you get the brilliant idea that you’re going to help. You jump out of your seat, open the door, and leap out so you can help by pushing the jet, which at this point is traveling at 600 miles an hour! That makes about as much sense as man trying to help God with what He has accomplished for man’s salvation. God has provided a perfect plan and all man has to do receive it. Anything man does only messes up God’s perfect plan. It is true there is no such thing as a free lunch! Our salvation cost God the Father the dearest position He has, His matchless perfect Son, who had been with Him since before eternity past. Jesus paid the price for the gift of eternal life and all man is asked to do is trust in God’s Son, Jesus Christ, and receive the gift by GR ACE through FAITH. Do you think God would lie to you? Religion might but not God! Have a great day and trust the Lord, CDBJ |

13 | how do you know if you are saved? | John | CDBJ | 238090
When anyone reads God’s Word there are promises that are given within the pages of Scripture. Did you notice any of those when you read through the pages. EXAMPLE: Why was the Gospel of John written? ANSWER: John 20:30-31 (NKJV) 30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. Let me put it another way; If you were to drop dead in the next minute or so and found yourself standing before the throne of God and He were to say to you why should I let you come into my Kingdom what would you say to Him? That’s an awesome thought and only hypothetical but for sake of understanding what do you think you might say? CDBJ |

16 | Can you continue to sin an go to heaven? | Bible general Archive 4 | CDBJ | 236540
Greetings again, My final comment for the morning in conclusion to your previous statement. “But there is not one word in the scriptures that tells me that Jesus is going to maintain it for me. That is my responsibility.“ Good luck with that responsibility, and I did say luck, since it you doing the work I’d rather rely on what God has promised. 2 Timothy 1:12 (KJV) (B) for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 1 Peter 1:4-5 (KJV) 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (Who are kept by the power of God) This carries more punch in the Koine Greek! It says: The ones by the power of God being Guarded, as in the following with emphasis on “phrouroumenous” which is a verb participle, present tense that is continues action at the present time, passive voice, the believers receive the action of the verb, accusative case, i.e. God causes the action to occur, masculine gender, second person, plural,i.e. all you believers are included. Taus en dunamei theou phrouroumenous. God’s word has a lot to say about keeping care of his own, the battle is the Lord’s and greater is He that is in you then he who is in the world. And with that I will say good night! Psalm 4:8 (KJV) 8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. CDBJ P.S. You would be doing yourself and the forum a big favor by not just giving a plethora of address for a verse of Scripture but writting it out because the past forty 47 years as a believer has taught me that no one will take the time to look them up and read them: if they are written they will be read! |

17 | Can you continue to sin an go to heaven? | Bible general Archive 4 | CDBJ | 236531
Greetings and welcome to the Bible Forum. I enjoyed your personal profile but there is one part that puzzled me. You stated, (any person who wants to become a child of God must be BLAMELESS and HARMLESS -- FIRST -- and THEN -- he can be a child of God.) That’s almost like a sick person becoming healthy before they go to the doctor, that's how I see it from my perspective. How exactly does that line up with what the Apostle Paul recommended and Jesus as well in John 1:12? Galatians 3:26 (NASB) 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. John 1:12 (NASB) 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, (believing and receiving are synonymous) My believing in Jesus Christ for my so great salvation came about in just the opposite way as yours. I believed and thoroughly trusted in Jesus and what He did for me on the cross for my salvation and then the Holy Spirit cleaned up my life. He gets all the credit I was nothing but a lost sinner and I didn’t deserve anything but to be separated from God for the rest of eternity. The fact is as long as I’m still in this old body of sin, I’m still a sinner but one that has been saved by grace through faith! Titus 3:5 (NASB) 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, I sure hope you enjoy the forum and again welcome aboard, CDBJ |

Hi Doc, Am I right in my thinking that the word Jew could be referred to as a race, a nationality and a religion? I was taught that but it’s been so many years ago that I can’t remember if I still have it right or not. The race started with Abraham, the Nation started with Moses when they left Egypt, then the religion began at Mt. Sinai when Moses received the 10 Commandments and delivered them to the chosen people of God, would that be correct? CDBJ |
